    Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar!
    Frank G.

We are so fortunate to have Amphora Nueva in San Anselmo. Gilbert and Eduardo are such a pleasure to see every time you walk in the door they greet you with a smile and a wave. I have not had such an amazing experience like I have had at Amphora Nueva they take it another level which is Hospitality. The best Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar in the Bay Area. They have showed how to make Italian soda drinks with the White Balsamic vinegar and my girls love it. They also will wrap up your purchase of it is for a gift.

Customer service is above and beyond! For my mom's birthday, one of (several) surprise stops was to replenish her favorite olive oil. As soon as we turned into Mill Valley, she knew where we were headed and started going on and on about how much she loves this place. Post-stroke, verbal communication is a significant challenge for her but they were ALL soooo patient and engaging. It was an absolute heartwarming experience. (They spoiled her because it was her birthday, too!) Customer service aside - the oils and vinegars are just the best! The magic happens when they pair the two together and give suggestions on how to use the "recipe" because they help you think outside the box. (Balsamics in sparkling water make a festive soda.) My favorite option is the small bottles so I can feed my need for variety. She buys the largest bottles possible of her favorites. Everyone leaves happy.

    Beautifully wrapped.

Amazing olive oil and balsamic vinegar, best I've had! But what really left an impression is their amazing customer service. Everyone at the store made sure I had a wonderful experience tasting and figuring out what to get; which was hard! Because everything tastes delicious. If you're in town, make sure to stop by. P.s Thanks Eduardo for helping me put together such a yummy and thoughtful gift.

I recently popped into a Amphora, a Nueva in San Anselmo to get party favors for my client party. Surprisingly this is my first time in the shop... Gilberto and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They offered to make me a number of samples before I made my selections. They have a fantastic selection of yummy olive oil and vinegar, which make for great gifts!

I just had the best experience at Amphora. I've recently been researching the health benefits of premium extra virgin olive oil. There's a Reddit group discussing the olive oil sold by Blueprint, and if it's possible to find premium oil like that in stores with high levels of polyphenols, oleacanthal etc. Well someone mentioned Amphora and wow, this stuff is legit! They let me sample the different oils, and I could taste the peppery kick in my throat from the oleacanthal. And all the vats had detailed breakdowns of polyphenol, oleic, etc listed. I think it was the owner who was letting me try the samples, he was so helpful and informative and also picked out a traditional balsamic for me to try, it was delicious! I ended up with a bottle of the Coratina, and Mission olive oils, and the Traditional balsamic. I will be back for more for sure. It was such a great experience I asked if they ever do team building groups and they said yes, they've had those kinds of groups in before. I believe it!

5 stars on customer service. I stopped by today to pick up some raspberry balsamic vinegar. There was a sign on the door Instructing you to call and place your order. I noticed that the young man working was on the phone so I didn't call. All of a sudden he showed up at the door with a smile and asked me what I needed. I told him I was here for raspberry vinegar and I asked how much the chorizo was that was on display he told me and said it was absolutely wonderful so I bought one of those as well. He came back to the door and told me how much it was and to place my card in the square that was mounted my the door. I walked to the sidewalk and he came outside and place my purchase on the table outside. He told me to have a nice day. This is how it's done folks. A pleasant experience during a time when everything is not normal.

The Napa Valley Blend and the Truffle Salt Blend were amazingly delicious to me. I decided to buy some and can't wait to roast a chicken in it! In fact these two concoctions were so addicting, I could have stood there for a while and made sampling the Napa Valley Blend into my lunch LOL! The customer service was excellent too. The person who helped me was so enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge and expertise with me. I learned a lot about storing the oils and spice blends that I didn't know before. She was so personable and sincere and really wanted me to have the best of her products, which was not necessarily the most expensive either. She went out of her way to find recipe cards and extra information for me. Stonehouse California is a great place to get quality artisan olive oils and spice blends, not to mention the Ferry Building is an interesting place to visit.

I initially booked an olive oil tasting but later discovered that it was more of an educational thing where you have to sit in a room. With a baby and a dog , I was hoping we can just enjoy that outdoors but they weren't able to accommodate. I hope sometime in the future they can change that . Instead of the olive oil tasting , I decided to have lunch outdoors. It was such a beautiful day and a tad windy . We started with some cocktails. Pomegranate Margarita : 5/5 it was the perfect blend of tangy , slightly sweet and the salt rim balanced all the flavors nicely. Also , it was pretty strong . Charcuterie $45 : Wow the presentation for this charcuterie was beautiful . Everything on the board was yummy and was a nice snack for grazing and enjoying it with the cocktail . I really liked the sweet walnuts , olives , wagyu sausage , pickled carrots , cauliflower , & the fig jam . 5/5 French onion soup $20 : I never really think to get a french onion soup but I was convinced that this was the best thing ever .. and guess what ?! It was !! This was probably the best french onion soup i've ever had . It was super rich , savory , and slightly sweet from the carmelized onions . It also had some delicious melted gruyère cheese that was oozing with the soup . The puff pastry on top was soo good . It was nice and comforting . 5/5 Prosciutto and Brie $30 : Dare I say this was probably one of the tastiest sandwiches ever ?! I can't believe prosciutto and brie can taste this good . The combination of garlic aioli , pickled shallots , red onions with farm greens mixed in the sandwich really brought out all the flavors. The only downside is for the portion idk if it justifies the price 4.5 /5 Ordered a special Pre fixe menu that came with farm salad with Quinoa + Olive oil icecream puff pastry dessert $30 + 10 salmon add on to salad . Salmon quinoa salad : This dish was super simple but the fish was cooked to perfection . It was super moist and the quinoa was fluffy and the salad was nicely dressed . 5/5 We had a great time and the food was fantastic. I'm really happy this place was dog friendly and family friendly. It's so hard finding places that accommodate both . Service was great . Luis did a good job on making sure we were taken care of . He was always checking in on us during our meal and was even whispering when the baby was napping . A+ service . Overall this place is a hidden gem . Because they have a small farm, there is a bit of a smelly aroma outside. We had the French onion soup, which was enclosed by a puff pastry and had gruyere cheese inside, torch shaped pasta with squash and pancetta and breadcrumbs, and a Brussels sprouts Caesar salad with crispy prosciutto. Every dish tasted magnificent. I like them all equally. Tastefully seasoned and cooked well to make the flavors stand out along with beautiful presentation. My critiques would be that the melted cheese from the French onion soup would solidify get stuck on the spoon and some of the larger Brussels sprouts on the salad were a bit tough. Pasta was a tad bit salty but still great. We had two scoops of gelato for dessert- olive oil with a hint of lemon zest and flakey salt and chocolate. Both were creamy delicious and not too rich. Our server was nice and explained some of the food items to us. After lunch, my friend and I walked around the garden and enjoyed the views surrounded by the vineyards.
