Artichoke garlic bread (cooked at home)
    Sydney C.

I stepped into Olive Crush not really knowing what to expect, and left completely blown away. This place is more than just a specialty olive oil shop --it's an experience, thanks in large part to Mike, the owner. He's incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. Mike took the time to walk us through tastings, explaining the differences between the oils and balsamics, their origins, and how to pair them. I never thought I'd get so into olive oil, but here we are. The artichoke garlic bread? Absolutely delicious. Mike recommended it and even gave us tips on exactly how to cook it at home--and it turned out perfectly. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Whether you're shopping for gifts or just looking to try something delicious, Olive Crush is a must-visit. Mike's the kind of person who makes you want to come back--not just for the products, but for the genuine hospitality.

    Great flavors of olive oils

I'm spoiled and can't buy olive oil or balsamic vinegar from anywhere else now. I've cycled through a few different flavors and they've all been outstanding. The owner has a breadth of knowledge that makes sure folks don't feel overwhelmed by the choices or where to start. There are different sizes so you don't have to fear commitment. Great spot if you're looking to enhance your cooking or you've gone keto and want freshly made salad dressing (super simple and delicious olive oil + balsamic vinegar but you could get fancy and add Dijon and garlic). Can't recommend enough.

I've only ordered online but the vinegars arrived less than 24 hours later, impeccably packed! I first discovered their product at a similarly titled store in a seaside town on Long Island, fell in love with everything and had some shipped to me in CA. But the supplier is in California, so I was thrilled to discover Olive Crush. Can't wait to visit their stores! My favorites for salad are cranberry pear white balsamic and Sicilian lemon white balsamic. Apple is great too. The fruity dark balsamics are delicious on desserts and ice cream. The oils are amazing, walnut is so good and their sesame oil is great and stays fresh a long time in the fridge. I can't wait to visit one of their stores and try out more in person!

Wonderful local shop that has been a staple in the community for many years. Service is friendly and personable. They have a great selection of olive oils and vinegars but also other unique fare to choose from like dried pastas. This past weekend, we stopped by and picked up gift sets for the holidays. Looking forward to gifting these to close

Mike is the man! I don't know if he's from the Midwest, but I am, and he definitely has that kind of vibe you would expect from someone who lives there. I came in asking for a few suggestions for homemade salad dressing, and he went out of his way to not only give me suggestions but also provided a taste test! He is incredibly personable, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys and appreciates olive oils. The store is super cute and offers a lot of local products. Mike is a wealth of knowledge about all his products. Fun fact: he met Obama twice and has worked with the 49ers!

Most amazing flavor for a green salad and high antioxidants!

The Good: *They partner up with lots of local farms, bakeries, and even Burlingame's 157-year-old chocolatier, Guittard. *Transparent labeling about where the products come from. Most stores try and hide it, but Sigona's stands behind it whether it's local or from a different country (e.g., Mexico). *Great selection of fruits and veggies *Also sell meats and locally produced baked goods, like pies and bread. *Friendly service The Meh: *Smallish private parking lot that could fill up during busier times. *Prices aren't cheap but in-line with the typical local farmers market. The Ugly: *Located across the street from the Costco, so it can be a nightmare getting in and getting out of here. Conclusion: Great place for locally produced foods. I wish it was closer to us. =/

Service is top notch. I merely mentioned that my man love's white chocolate, & we were instantly given lemon white chocolate biscotti to sample. Sfogliatelle is a specialty here. Multilayered lemony flaky goodness. This was a first for me; I didn't even try it when I was in Italy. It is divine. A must order. We also took home a bag of the lemon white chocolate biscotti. Summary: Every flavor biscotti!…read more Details: While La Biscotteria serves up a smattering of other fairly tasty Italian treats (like cannoli and sfogliatelle), their namesake is really where it's at for me, with dozens and dozens of biscotti flavors stacked on shelves across the shop (along with a lot of clocks too, for some reason). Bags come in larger and smaller sizes, though per-unit pricing is the same regardless of size, unless you get something packaged more nicely in one of the gift boxes. Flavors vary quite a bit, so there's a good chance you'll find something you like there, whether you tend towards sweeter, less sweet, or even a bit more savory/bitter/acidic, depending on your tastes. I'm not sure how adamant they are about the "ring the doorbell and we'll serve you when we're ready", but that sign does exist outside, and I imagine it's because they want to help customers individually and avoid overcrowding. Accessibility: Super spacious shop, though some of the shelves are on the higher end. That said, if you're coming alone, I have no doubt the staff would be willing to assist!

From the wine wall to the dining tables, such intricate details. Service was spectacular, wine was amazing, the focaccia bread and herb butter a 5/5! A few things that fell short from a 5 star experience was more of the food experience. Some of the appetizers were just okay and the branzino entree wasn't fully deboned. My ratings for dinner - - Montepulciano and Red Blend 5/5 - beautiful aroma and taste - Focaccia Bread and Herb Butter 5/5 - calamari 3/5 - tasted a little bland, however the dipping sauce complimented it well - Brussels sprouts 3/5 - it came with pork and Gorgonzola cheese, which was unexpected. We don't eat pork so I ate around it. - Bistecca entree 3/5 - steak was good but my boyfriend mentioned that the steak didn't look rested after it was cooked. The green beans were the best! But the French fries had a lot of grease. - Branzino 3/5 - I think if I didn't find 5 bones while I was eating, the rating would have been higher. The salad was delicious though! I think we will try this restaurant again. Maybe try different appetizers such as the burrata or fava bean & broccoli rabe OR just stick with the focaccia bread! For entrees we will probably try a pasta and pizza instead.

**October 2025: Saturday Night Visit**…read more My friend and I were in Belmont and saw a big sign that said "Chocolate Festival on October 18th" - I thought to myself "that's TODAY!!!" Thankfully we did not have evening commitments so we decided to purchase tickets to attend. General Admission was $33.85 on Eventbite, but you can also purchase tickets at the event itself to save on the technology/convenience fees. We selected the 5pm-8pm slot and arrived around 6pm. I think because we came a little later we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the church. The festival is located in two rooms and I'd say there were 15 vendors in one room and 5 in the other. Each booth had a sample of their chocolates and many of the had full size versions of them for sale. The starting price was $12 for many of the bars. There was also a raffle going on throughout the evening for various prizes as well as live music and a patio area for conversations. I really enjoyed talking to the chocolatiers and also sampling so many different artisan creations, but I went back to the chocolate ice cream booth multiple times lol. There was also a silent auction in the room with the 5 vendors. My friend and I spent maybe an hour or so at the event. I think for the $30 to benefit the San Mateo County Health Foundation and 100+ year old church are worthy causes so I didn't mind the donation. If you're a chocolate lover this is a fun way to try a bunch of bay area artists all under one roof!
