As I was getting ready to leave, Charlie kindly opened the door and informed me that the store wasn't open on Mondays, but offered his assistance nonetheless. I explained that I needed clarification about my instrument rental agreement. Charlie was incredibly professional, courteous, and genuinely caring. He went above and beyond my expectations--not only did he thoroughly explain the details, but he also took the initiative to call the rental company directly to obtain the accurate information I needed. I even offered to come back on another day, but Charlie insisted on helping me right then and there. It's clear that Music Shack truly values their customers, and Charlie is a shining example of excellent service. From a tune up in the workshop to creating a custom piece or nailing the accurate color paint job, these guys truly know how to cater to the needs and desires of their customer base. They truly love what they do, they genuinely care about each of those guitars that cross the threshold, and do their utmost to provide their clientele with an exceptional customer service experience. Although the staff at SG are all guys, I did not feel the least bit excluded or unwelcome. This isn't some Old Boys' Club where the womenfolk aren't welcome. I not only felt welcome, but I felt like family. Even as a novice, I left feeling like a rock star! Like finding the perfect hair stylist, finding a stellar luthier is equally difficult to find. When we entered they were so grateful that we were there. I was happy to be supporting the arts in addition to supporting a non-profit. They have snacks and drinks for sale and there is seating available for you to listen and vibe with the musicians. After the first set, musicians can sign up to play on stage which I thought was really cool. There are so many talented musicians in central Florida!
