My boyfriend opted instead for a scoop of pistachio, and after one lick I was enlightened. It tasted equally as good as the gelato that I've had in Italy and suddenly it made sense to me why everyone loves pistachio as I've never really been a big fan. Rich and nutty with a creamy, velvety texture that gives it just the right mouth-feel... and for less than 4 euros?? Amorino Gelato 'twas founded in the year 2002 by two Italians, bosom companions from their youth. Their first shop commenced in Paris, and from there the chain doth spread its fame 'cross the world o'er. What maketh Amorino so special is not just that their gelato is all natural and organic, but also that their dessert artists masterfully carve gelato petals into the shape of flowers! Thou mayest order endless flavors such as Sri Lankan Coconut or Orange Blossom Cream... as many flavors as there are petals upon thy cone. All this is then crowned by a gelato-filled macaron. I ordered the basil lime alongside the tiramisu, topped with a pistachio macaron. The resulting sweet rose was rich and much smoother than the course of true love, but alas, did not survive as long as any botanical bouquet I have e'er received.
