Lots to like about Amonos, an honest and simple restaurant. Tacos (carnitas and pollo) were juicy and flavorful and well portioned, and missus enjoyed her Chicken salad which leaned towards the healthy size. Chips & guacamole were enjoyable but I'd like to see a bit larger guacamole portion. The little details are what Amonos can improve on. Offering salsa options (had to ask for verde for my tacos), and availability of menu options (no fish tacos or tamales at 5pm on a busy Friday night!?). The first thing I noticed walking in the door was that it's over priced. The host did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate my order to him. The tortilla chips were stale. I ordered a carnitas Burrito special and what they actually serve is a pile of carnitas with lettuce and guacamole on a plate in the shape of a burrito, but it's not a burrito. Ordering was a bit painful, I had to repeat myself several times because the guy didn't speak the best English. I wanted to know if they had birria tacos. He said they did so I ordered them. What I got was super dry shredded beef with cheese slapped on top. No consome. I also got their tamales and they came wrapped in saran wrap so they had a plastic flavor to them. I think they also added mole to them but there was no flavor to it and the chicken inside was dry. read more

Our go to spot in Duvall for burritos! My favorite is the chicken and husband's is the asada. We've been here quite a few times to eat in as well as take out and the quality and flavors have been consistent. The horchata is usually fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and provide efficient service. There are a few tables and bar height counters and stools for seating and plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. The fish tacos were bad. The white fish was hard/dense and unseasoned. Otherwise the other tacos were good.

This is a cute little family owned place. Authentic and fresh. Service was nice and friendly. Order to pickup was less than ten minutes. I'm always on the search for a good, quick Mexican food spot, and Amono's might fit the bill occasionally. I drove over here on a rainy, lazy, late Friday morning - around 10:30AM - I was sick, so my schedule was all messed up. The place is inside a bluish-gray colored strip mall, between a sports bar on one end and Duvall auto parts on the other. Unfortunately, they have small trees along the road that block you from being able to see many of the signs as you're driving by. Parking was super easy - it was a weird time, so no one was there. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly person walking to the back of the kitchen. Nice! They serve breakfast until 11:00AM, so I decided to get a breakfast burrito instead of lunch. I decided on the chorizo and egg burrito. The menu described it at "Mexican pork sausage, eggs, beans, cheese & pico de gallo." Perfect! I love chorizo - it's so rich, greasy, and heavily seasoned that you can put it in anything and make it great. As I ordered, I didn't feel welcome anymore - the person taking my order seemed like I was in inconvenience as I parted with my $7.50. (PS: They take cards and cash, using a modern terminal). They quickly made my burrito - it maybe took 2-3 minutes - it was freshly made and came out piping hot. They gave me to option to add a little cup of salsa - red or green. I asked for the hotter one and they gave me the green one - interesting. The burrito itself was a great size. I couldn't imagine it being bigger. The flavors went really well together. Beans aren't usually something I seek out in a breakfast burrito, but it definitely made the whole thing heartier and more interesting than potatoes. It was solid. I think the chorizo missed the mark slightly. Maybe it was just more "sausage" and less "grease with flavor" - which could definitely be seen as a good thing in some cases. It was just less greasy than I was hoping for. The green salsa definitely packed a punch! Very interesting, and super flavorful. I added it throughout my burrito experience and it added some much needed moisture. Overall, the service was a little lackluster (which other Yelpers note as well), and the burrito wasn't EXACTLY what I was looking for, but everything was tasty. I'd definitely try the other breakfast burritos one of these days. I'm also excited to try them out again for lunch or dinner. read more

Chips and salsa weren't good to me, my husband and friend liked the salsa. I had the veggie burrito and it was really really good. They had veggies that weren't gross like carrots in a burrito. I had salsa verde with mine and it was spicy. My husband had the carne asada burrito and really liked. Our friend had the fish tacos and they were big and he really liked them. Our daughter got a kids quesadilla, it had white cheese in it, she didn't like it, but she's hard to please. Bathrooms are in the main building. The door was locked so I couldn't get in, there's a code, but you have to get in the building first. read more

Every time in the past few months I order Al Pastor and ask them did you put the pineapple on them. "Yes, pineapple is on them ". But, get home and unwrap everything and no pineapple. Wow I love their tacos! Tongue, Head and Chorizo mix are not that common around here but they got them! So soft and delicious you would know it's tongue. Just try them! The food is good. the consistency is not. Overall, I'd say try it and make your own decision when it comes to this place. The tacos are really good, as is most things you get. My issues are the stale tortilla chips I always get, its just ironic a mexican restaurant doesn't fry their own freshly. Please, o please, learn how to roll a burrito. Its annoying for me to "unwrap" my burritos only to reroll them right in front of the staff over and over again. And please, please watch your salt. Some of the proteins are very salty. It is so far one of the best and authentic Mexican place I have ever been in USA. They already have a food truck in Bellevue and I am so glad they chose Duvall to open their business. I chose burrito (carne assada) in a bowl and it was soooo delicious. My husband chose carnitas and he was very pleased as well. Owner was very nice and had the patience to explain/answer all the question we had. He was very happy to have us as a customers which makes the whole experience much more worthy indeed. Authentic Mexican food with some dishes that aren't too common up here in the NW (huaraches and nopales). The prices are decent and the food is quite good. Not the best Mexican food by a long shot, but good for the area. The chicken soup was a bit disappointing, but I loved the fact that they have huaraches on the menu. The portion sizes are large. This is the second time I have visited Amonos, and I will say it is a good, cheap, authentic Mexican restaurant. There is some seating inside, but for the most part because of the pandemic this is a takeout place. One issue I had is that nobody behind the counter were masked, and a younger woman was yelling at her mother to get food ready which was not the most comfortable environment. I have ordered the carne asada burrito and tamales which both came out well. The torte was very fatty and salty, and it was hard getting the last half of the sandwich down. The green tomatillo hot sauce is delicious and spicy, and I loved it on everything I ordered. I will definitely be returning to Amonos, but I think I might give my heart a break from all that fat for a few weeks! read more

As someone who eats a ton of Mexican food and grew up in a highly-dense area of Hispanics, this place is solid on their tacos. The Seattle area isn't well known for the Mexican food so it can be hard to find something decent and this place passes that bar. I had the tacos al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada with the spicy green salsa (which had a good kick to it). The prices are a little high for my own liking but that's the area around here. Needed a little bit of salt and where I am from you usually don't add pineapple by default, but it was good. I tried Amonos for the first time during the heat wave. Everyone else had the same idea because they were packed when I got there. The poor staff was overwhelmed, but even as a family of 6 came in right before closing, they didn't bat an eye. They just kept cranking out orders. It obviously took time for my order, but I was happy to sit and wait in their air conditioning. When my order was ready, the cook looked me in the eye and thanked me for my patience.
