2025-12-13. Amo Sami's Warren. Amo Sami's went viral on Tik Tok a while back and they're taking full advantage of their popularity by expanding. This location in Warren is their fourth and latest, and opened up a couple of months ago so I'm not sure why nobody had added it yet. This location is connected to the BP gas station and Truck Stop located on the east side of Mound Rd. just north of the 696. There is plenty of free parking and you can enter through their own entrance or the BP store. There is only counter seating and even that is limited. Unlike their Sterling Heights location that closes at 6pm Monday thru Saturday (closed on Sundays), the Warren location is open 7 days a week and closes at 10pm nightly. Amo Sami's became famous for their Shawarma wraps that are very common and popular in Michigan. Their rise to fame comes from how they grill their Shawarma wraps. Basted with special Sami's sauce then grilled, their shawarma wraps come extra crispy. They're also about twice the length of a traditional Shawarma you find in Michigan. But the larger size also comes at a premium price. Flavors are Lebanese based and their famous OG chicken shawarma is the classic with chicken, pickles, and Toum (whipped garlic blended with oil) will run you $14. They do add their special Sami sauce in the shawarma and the Toum comes on the side to not interfere with the Sami's sauce unless you want it to. Traditionally, shawarma is consumed with Tahini (sesame) and not Toum, but I'm addicted to the creamy whipped garlic as are so many others in SE MI. Sadly, the Toum here is NOT purely whipped garlic. Its consistency is creamier and I can't put my finger on it, but I'm not a fan. The menu is pretty limited with 8 items, all shawarma's of different varieties. All their chicken is made with pure chicken breasts and none of it is shaved off the spit. They also have a Taouk (chunks of chicken breast), a beef, and a falafel shawarma as well. Overall, these shawarmas are quite pricey, but they are larger. I love the extra crispy crunchy pita, but I have to warn you that you will get your hands dirty if you eat with them. They're quite greasy, and though they're made on a flat grill, they eat like they're deep fried. The OG shawarma (w/o any Toum) is true to the dish; it's simple, it's tasty, and I'm a fan! If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Great service, quick easy to park, Amazing crispy shawarma…read morewrap ! A must try for sure

ok... so i am a foodie like prob most of u reading this. And this is just my honest opinion…read more this place has been blowing up my Instagram so I thought I'd give it a shot. I stopped in to the BP gas station at 15 and mound and it was closed so I was bummed for a short moment until the gas station attendant told me there was another one down the street at 11 mile and mound which was open so the roller coaster began and my elation was back up Rolled into the next BP gas station, where to my delight there was a large sign that said Amo sami's Shawarma Long story short I ordered and about 20 minutes later my food was ready, and I went out to my car with great expectations First bite... Wow, there's no flavor and it taste burnt, but it looked really good so I kept on eating and it never got better just continued in a downward spiral like a Nine Inch Nails album. My tongue hates me Absolutely no flavor at all other than burnt tortilla and overheated oil This was the furthest thing from Shawarma. I have ever had ended up discarding the last few bites as I did give it a chance and tried to eat the whole thing, but it was absolutely disgusting. No garlic flavor no seasoning flavor to speak of at all I mean, give it a shot. I'm not telling you not to eat it as their Instagram campaign was very inviting. I had just left church and we had communion and the communion wafer was 10 times more flavorful Kind of upset that I paid almost $20 (including tip) for a single Shawarma wrap so unfortunately I cannot recommend. The one star I did give was for the kid at the counter. He was very friendly.
