The management team is always super helpful and respond to my emails promptly. Also, all my service requests are completed within a day. The apartment itself is nice as well. Would recommend! Update: I couldn't believe it when there was a HUGE cockroach in my bathroom because I clean the apartment very often. When I walk in the hallways, I also see dead cockroaches lying around. I've been a resident at AMLI mueller for around 4 years now. I've decided to leave a lot of details out to try and keep this short. June 11th, my girlfriend and I transferred to a 2 bedroom unit. After a couple days of being in the new unit, a very loud alarm sounds in the water heater closet. The alarm reveals a large leak coming from upstairs and a bunch of mold growing on the drywall. Was told by leasing office we would have to run two large and very loud pieces of equipment until the closet dried out, and the overall repair takes around 7-14 days. The equipment in my unit prevented me from being able to fully open my front door, or close my bathroom door. I had a large hole cut out of my wall, and bits of drywall all over my floor when they preformed the work. The equipment was so loud we were unable to be in our kitchen, living room, or dining area. This equipment was expected to run 24/7. Maintenance had to come by every couple of days to check moisture levels, requiring us to keep our dogs locked in a room while we were at work. Some days they would say they're coming and not show, other days show unannounced. Was told on two occasions when work was being preformed that it would be best if us, and our dogs weren't in the unit. The 14 day mark when the work was supposed to be completed was surpassed. Equipment was finally removed on day 19 of dealing with this issue. The drywall repair was preformed day 23. Today we sit in our apartment, a week later, listening to the same leak dripping water down into my water heater closet. Forming a puddle, leaving a mildew smell in our unit, forming mold. Equipment was running in my apartment for so long because the leak had not been repaired. Starting this whole process over again. I asked AMLI for compensation for my electricity bill for running this equipment 24/7 for almost 3 weeks, they declined. I asked if we could transfer to another unit, they responded with we could transfer to another property where I would have to pay a $1000 transfer fee and my rent would increase $800 a month for a comparable apartment. And after all of this, we get a notice a $62 fee has been added to our account due to "improper trash removal" It's clear that all the one star reviews show that AMLI staff are nice and helpful while considering signing a lease, but it ends there. Update after leaving reviews on all the websites, the corporate office stated they would contact me. The corporate office never contacted me. As for the response from amli on this review, the maintenance team admitted this was a problem that existed prior to move in, and admitted the leak was not fully repaired which is why I had to have equipment in my house for so long. Painters at the building left a ladder out which caused my bike to be stolen from second floor patio. Multiple "secure" doors are broken giving anyone access to the building. Told leasing office to send me information about breaking my lease and they never responded. read more

The current construction began in December and has been delayed significantly. While we'd love for the project to be finished soon, we've gotten to a point where we cannot get rest and calm at home. The non-stop drilling and hammering throughout the day, while we're all stuck at home during Covid-19 has been mental. I'm having to work 10-12 hours a day now and I know many of the other tenants are in the same position, having to take calls and online meetings from home. We're at a point of meltdown due to the noise; the managing team has responded poorly and not done anything meaningful (it's been weeks we've been talking to them about the noise now). This review is not meant to speak poorly about specific staff members or the apartment. We've had great interactions with Julee and Aaron from the front office and do like our apartment & neighborhood in general. read more

AMLI Muller has major ongoing fire alarm issues. It has triggered multiple times in the past few months without cause or warning. Before fire inspection, a letter was sent out saying the building wide fire system would be triggered "periodically." It instead is going off 10-15 times per hour and will continue do so for the next few business days. This has interfered with my job (I work from home for a remote company) and has left me unable to take meetings (I work in the financial space where much of the information I discuss is confidential and cannot be discussed just anywhere). I do not recommend this apartment building to anyone who expects a quiet and peaceful home setting. Things happen at the expense of their residents and the value you receive for what you pay is minimal. It says something when a solid majority of their reviews are 1-star. read more

Worst rental experience I have ever had. Upon move in, my apartment was not ready (I was moving from Atlanta) and I had to arrange to have people come in and service both of my bathtubs, which was fun after a multi-day journey to get there. This should have been done prior to move in, as the apartment was vacant. The garage gate was broken almost the entire time I lived there, upwards of 9 months. The final nail in the coffin is that their payment portal is the worst...I have paid my rent ON TIME and am still paying even though I have moved out (because again, it sucks, and I am a responsible person who obliges contractual obligations) but yet I still get emails threatening to send me to collections for a past due amount. It's the worst experience and I work in IT so it's just pure laziness at this point. I would say avoid this place if you can. read more

This building looks outdated and I would not recommend it. Writing on behalf of my wife, who visited AMLI on Simond Ave yesterday. We own and recently moved into our new home over on Tom Miller. Just before the weekend, a small package was mis-delivered to us by USPS. The recipient address was a resident at AMLI 1900 Simond. My wife, being the kind and considerate person she is, didn't want this person to be without their package. In between meetings, she walked over to AMLI yesterday Aug 15 in 105 degree heat to ensure the package made it to the intended recipient. She walks into the leasing office. On the left, there are 3 desks and the middle desk was attended by a female who appeared to be Asian and was wearing a face mask. She wasn't attending to anyone/no one was sitting at any of the desks. The package was very small, and wife was holding it with one hand off to her side My wife begins to approach the employee's desk. The employee abruptly sticks out her arm and points to a set of double doors. No "hello" no "How can I help you?" Confused, my wife looks to the doors then back to the employee and takes a couple steps closer to the desk. The woman continues to point like she's shooing my wife away. Wife expressed her confusion. Employee says "Amazon delivery lockers are through the doors." Yes, my wife was holding a small box in one hand. No, my wife wasn't wearing an Amazon delivery vest (we've all seen the vests because they make deliveries around town all day and night). She wasn't wearing a UPS uniform. No FedEx uniform. Not a USPS uniform either. Also, no DHL uniform on. She was dressed in her usual head to toe Lululemon. My wife also happens to not be yt and would self-describe as brown. Wife walks to the employee's desk and tells her she's not a delivery driver, we live in the neighbourhood and the box was delivered to our house by mistake. "Oh." That's all the employee had to say, as though shocked or disappointed that my wife wasn't a delivery person. Not a quick "Thanks" or "Oops, thanks for bringing this by for the tenant." As a yt dude, I don't have personal experience with racial aggression, but can't imagine having to personally deal with this type of nonsense. It also makes me wonder if certain tenants at this building are potentially being treated differently. I have lived at the AMLI at Mueller for approaching 3 years now, and have a couple of points that I would like to touch on. I initially moved into a 1/1 on the top floor of the building. The view was and is absolutely incredible. You can view downtown over the gorgeous Mueller Lake Park, and look eastward to see the historic remnants of the old airport. I recently moved into a 2/2 in a nearby unit, and the view is equally spectacular. The amenities are truly unmatched; the gym is always clean, the pool is always beautiful, the common areas have comfortable places to hang out and socialize. What I'd really like to touch on in this review, however, is the staff. This is an absolutely shitty time for EVERYBODY. The pandemic, snowpocalypse, et al...we have all had to reconfigure how we handle essentially every aspect of life. The staff of this community has CONSISTENTLY gone above-and-beyond to provide timely assistance with my move, timely maintenance, friendly candor (even when I know I haven't been the easiest tenant), etc. I have never felt like I was getting "nickel-and-dime'd" while leasing here, and, on several occasions, the staff have been helpful outside of their job role. I would like to especially highlight Jullee and Chris in this review. I simply cannot imagine the sheer volume of calls, emails, questions, demands, work-orders and, just, bullshit that was tossed their way during the past few arduous months...the past arduous year. And yet, they have continued to be helpful, friendly, professional, versatile and kind. The way that the power/water crisis was handled was EXCEPTIONAL. The community provided updates and guidance the entire time, and steps were taken to ensure that residents experienced the least amount of impact. This experience is highly analogous to my entire experience here. Until I buy a home, this will be my home, and I recommend you explore this community. TL:DR 5/5 would recommend. read more

Absolutely do not consider moving here until at least the latter half of 2021. The building is currently a construction site as they basically rebuild the facade of the entire building. It's extremely noisy at all times, with rattling windows and booming floors, and the work is kicking up large amounts of dust and debris. This construction project is about 4 months behind schedule right now (on a project that was initially supposed to take 8 months), and they were already more than a month behind schedule *before* the pandemic, and they are not catching up. I expect another year of this. If you are considering moving here, know that you will not have access to key amenities, as they are in the construction area, and your apartment will rattle for 8 or 9 hours every weekday. If you still, really must look at this place, schedule a walk-through (*not* a virtual tour) on a weekday, not during lunch hours, to get a feel for what you'll have to hear all day, every day. More frustrating than the construction work itself (which I understand to be necessary) is how the management has dealt with the situation - or rather, how they haven't. There has been no restitution offer at all from the management; no offer to move to another AMLI building, no reduction of rent to compensate for the noise or even the lost use of amenities, no material effort to improve the comfort of residents whatsoever. What we've gotten are the slyly self-congratulatory corporate platitudes that basically translate to "tough s***" and weekly construction updates that let us all know about the specific details of what the workers are doing this week, but no information on the long-term plan, as if it matters to residents *what* the workers are doing that sounds like swinging around a bag full of jackhammers, but not when it will end. This situation makes me both angry and sad, because prior to the construction beginning in December 2019, I lived here quite happily for two years. I liked the neighborhood, the park across the street, the amenities, the staff, and my apartment. It's the most I've ever paid for rent, but I felt like I was getting my money's worth. This is my home. But now, with the neighborhood basically closed (not AMLI's fault, obviously), the amenities unavailable, the staff offices closed indefinitely, and my apartment under constant sonic assault, I don't want to be here. I want *to want* to live here, but I don't, and AMLI isn't doing anything to convince me I should stay. My wife and I have to work from home, so we can't even get away from the noise to go to work. Instead, I pop another ibuprofen and try my best to ignore the fact that my walls are vibrating. read more

I used to like living in this place before it became a construction site in December 2019. I liked the location, the staff and the amenities and I could comfortably work from home and now none of these options are accessible to me. If you are considering moving here wait until the construction is done, completely and for good. I have no idea when that will be - they were a month behind schedule on an 8-month project *before* the pandemic put them another three months behind. We wake up every day to unbearable noise of the construction, day after day, it starts at 9 am and it goes on until 6 pm in the evening. In this time of pandemic I don't have the luxury of going to work to avoid the noise. There is no escape from it. I did not sign up to live in a construction site for this price. I go to take a bath to reduce the stress and there is bang bang bang right behind the wall of my bathroom. I hear the glasses in the cabinet shake as it goes bang bang bang. This is interfering with our lives and our work, and makes it at times unbearable to stay inside. The construction has ended access to valuable outdoor amenities like the pool, grill area, and common courtyard areas. While construction above the pool has ended, it's still unavailable, and with construction still in progress directly adjacent, it would be essentially unusable anyway. Offering me some snacks at a table is just not going to cut it anymore for the daily torture we have to endure day after day after day. "We are doing all we can" is just not going to cut it anymore. A raffle ticket to a snow cone, not even a snow cone, is not going to cut it. All you can would include prorating our rent for lost amenities access, or reducing rent or offering alternative living arrangements while the building is under construction. A home is more than four walls. It's where you have peace, and peace has been taken away from us. We were patient. I waited and waited for you to do the right things and take care of your tenants. If you read the comments, the tenants' complaints and all you can do is to say "we are doing all we can" then you are missing the point. Things you could do but you are not doing: 1- Prorate rent for tenants 2- Offer tenants options to move to your other buildings in the area. 3- Offer free or pay for alternative sources of now unavailable amenities 4- Offer compensation for the past months If you're going to tell us that you're "doing all you can", tell us what you are doing, because whatever it is, it's not on this list. It's time to handle and manage this situation because so far there has been no leadership. Save your money. I've been living here for two years and my first year was wonderful but sadly, over the last year, this apartment community has quickly devolved and become dirty, unkempt, overpriced and unsafe. We've enquired about breaking our lease and would have done it months ago if the fee wasn't $6000. Cars are constantly getting broken into, including my own which was rifled through earlier this week. When we originally signed our lease, we were so pleased to have a locked parking garage but now, the large vehicle gate is left open for days on end. When it is closed, it gets stuck leaving a line of cars waiting for up to an hour until maintenance resolves the issue. Maintenance requests go unanswered for weeks on end (even after sending weekly emails checking on the matter) including a door that was jammed which is used to enter the apartments from the garage. Construction is endless but somehow things continue to look more and more disheveled. The mail room is a complete nightmare and will have you spending up to 30 minutes searching for one package. All in all, you're paying $2000 a month for 700 sq feet, noisy neighbors, endless car theft, and nice countertops. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I regret about moving here. In the first month I had more issues and arguing than at 2 apartment complexes I lived before. In one I lived for 1 year and there was one small issue that was taken care of quickly, in the other one I lived for 5.5 years and there were 4 small issues that also were taken care quickly. Here is summary of the issues, more detailed explanation below if you are interested in reading more 1. Good luck with having problems taken care of 2. Some units are in bad conditions, see pictures 3. Construction is being delayed and they are not honest about it 4. They don't want to listen to you and tell that these issues is your problem (which is also complain of other reviewers) 5. Many staff members are good and helpful, but the management is bad. Service is pretty bad. I had 3 issues in my unit: carpet had pee stains, vibration and noise from AC units on the roof, issue with a noice from a water pipe. Even though 2 out of 3 issues are not resolved and on one I had to follow up multiple times, they say that they did an amazing job. I reported issue with the carpet a week before I moved in, but it hasn't been taken care of. They ignored multiple times question in the email about checking for and cleaning pee stains in other areas. Issue with the noise has not been resolved. At first they said that it's a problem and they will improve it. After they did some work and it didn't change anything they said that problem is fixed because of 1) similar fix resolved a problem in a different apartment complex 2) they responded to every email I sent and 3) they shoved me pictures. This is absolutely irrelevant to the problem. After arguing more about it they started saying that there were no problem at the first place. They didn't try to understand very well where noise is coming from and didn't come to check that work they have done improved situation. Noise from the water pipe is above 50 db. They said that they will come and fix it, but didn't show up and I had to follow up. After that technician came and said that he doesn't know if what he is going to do will improve the problem. And of course it didn't help. Miss schedule on the construction constantly and not being honest about it. One week they send an email that everything is on schedule, next week they send an email that construction is delayed for 2 weeks due to the weather even though only one week passed and there were only 2 rainy days. read more

I've lived here for 3 months. I have to say my experience has been pretty subpar for the price I'm paying to live here. You can definitely hear your neighbors above you. Also if you live on the McBee side it's extremely noisy with cars coming and going, delivery trucks beeping at 7am, construction, etc. And since day one my thermostat has been a problem (had to complain about this multiple times). But drives me crazy, is the ongoing maintenance issues. I've had to complain 5 times (mind you I've only been here 3 months) about a problem with our front door fob reader not working. It's now going on 72 hours since I've called now 2x, and not even a call from the office to let me know what's going on. This happens every couple of weeks, and means that if I take my dog out I have to walk all the way around the building to the other side. Not a good experience for the extremely high price we pay. The staff are very nice, just not on top of it. Apparently the only way I can get them to listen is to post reviews of my negative experience. Last thing to note: there's really no onstaff security, so in the unfortunate experience you forget your keys and phone after hours , there is literally no way to get back in and you're probably a mile from any sign of life after midnight. I was told that in that case, I'd just have to hope that someone shows up and lets you in. Every building I've ever lived in has a 24/7 security agent for situations such as this. read more

It's been a couple of weeks since I moved in, the management is truly awful. They are self serving and completely unwilling to take accountability for any of their own actions. I've never had such poor customer service from a leasing office in my years of renting. I was even able to sit down with the manager and I clearly articulated all of my concerns and she responded with "well if you would've said it like that you would've gotten a better response" in defense of one of her reps sending me a nasty email saying that he just wouldn't help me anymore after I had called some of his actions unprofessional. I don't believe there was ever anything done to address any of my concerns about the poor customer service I've received. The one upside is the maintenance team. They are quick and I was even able to have a conversation with them about how to best use my appliances and it was really informative and helpful. My initial review of the move in process: This complex is a prime example of why Austin is having a housing crisis. I'm in the middle of the application process for one of the assisted living units and not only was there a deep dive into my finances beyond a reasonable measure I was also asked to sign away my right to supplement my income then I was asked to pay an additional deposit. The management went out of their way to make the process as uncomfortable as possible then asked for fees that they were well aware would be beyond my means (on top of rent the fees were 110% the price of rent). This company is one of many that signed up for the smart housing initiative for a tax break but maintains elitist standards that exclude those who are actually in need. read more

I needed a short-term lease on my way out of Austin and AMLI fit the bill. Glad I went with them because I loved living here and had some of my best memories in Austin while living here. The neighborhood is wonderful, really wonderful kind people all around and I'll miss my morning runs through the gorgeous park and hitting the trails that loop all around Mueller. Having Alamo Drafthouse, HEB and lots of great restaurants within walking distance was a great perk too. The building is kept clean, the gym is great, dog wash was clutch, and office staff is nice and nice in was easy. You can hear your neighbors slightly but only if you have no noise in your apartment whatsoever ((music, tv, even a fan being on and you hear nothing at all). Would recommend! Oh - and my dogs loved it even more than I did! read more

Prolonged construction that is making the building untenable. Way too loud to get work done at home. Dust everywhere. Months of delays. Now they've taken away access to balconies and the pool has been closed without any sign of reopening in the near future. To make matters worse, building management have been unwilling to make any meaningful concessions - have offered an insulting 50 dollars per month off our rent. Love this apartment! I never have to worry about typical apartment issues (fire alarms, dog poop). There's construction but they're good about keeping the noise down. Pool doesn't even get so crowded you can't use it. Fire alarms have gone off once not with testing since I've been here and managers were very quick to respond even though it was early in the morning. No parking garage issues like in other apartments people are not crazy parkers. Lots of guest spaces. Few issues when I first moved in being a new unit but they were quick at fixing it. Love the neighborhood so much to do and to even walk to. Farmers market on Sunday's is an added amenity too! My only complaint (if I was to have one), there's not even one poop stand here. It sounds like a weird issue for me to have, but being a single girl I hate always having to walk my dog across the street at night. We love having the park, it's a nice perk, I just wish they'd add one for convenience! read more

I am updating my review, as it's been a year and overall I'm happy at the end of my lease. I'll give you some pros and cons. Jose from the maintenance team is awesome. I had to deal with some growing pains in my apt, being a new building, and he was always friendly and professional. If I had any minor maintenance issues, he always showed up quickly. He's fantastic and should be recognized. Construction noise is an issue and I realize they don't have control of that, but it's still something to be aware of. If you work outside of the home, it's probably not a big concern for you. If it is a concern, I would choose an apt at the back of the building. It's a shame I'm missing out on all the cool businesses coming into the neighborhood. While I'm sensitive to construction noise, there's lots of growth in the hood and will be nice for future residents. It's also Be sure to join the Mueller Neighbors group on Facebook. It's an awesome group and everyone is really friendly and helpful here. The pool is always quiet and I never had to deal with out of control neighbors partying, not like past buildings I've lived in. While I normally refuse to live next to a pool, I wouldn't worry here. People are very quiet and respectful. I worked a lot with Stephanie and McKenna and they were helpful and friendly and always quick to respond to my emails. While I had some water issues with my apt for the first few months, they called in a professional and the water problem was finally remedied. It was a pain and part of living in a new building. Sadly, I don't think this is common and I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones. I am disappointed that I was told to contact my insurance plan for water damage to my personal property. I think the office should have paid. I chose not to deal with the hassle of contacting my insurance company and cut my losses. I loved my studio and found it to be very spacious. I liked the quality of the materials used in my place and never had any issues with appliances. The amenities are nice, and while I don't have a dog, I thought the pet wash was a nice touch. The common areas are always clean. I did hear neighbors upstairs, but it wasn't terrible, and not much different from any other apt I've lived in. I rarely heard my neighbors on each side of me. Overall I would recommend AMLI and this is the 2nd AMLI I've lived in. read more

I lived at AMLI at Mueller for 15 months (I was one of the very first residents to move in when it opened), so I feel qualified to give an informative review. I also was a long-time resident of Mueller, having built and sold a house there before moving into the apartment building. First, it's a lovely building with great amenities in a popular location. Yes, you do get lots of noise from the surrounding neighborhood and ongoing construction, especially if you face the park or The Thinkery. Welcome to Mueller. If you want peace and quiet, move to the 'burbs. Pros: - A variety of roomy floorplans, some with fabulous views (see pic from my balcony) and everything is still like new - Pet friendly - Great office staff and maintenance team is top-notch - just take some time to get to know them. They also over-communicate about everything, which is a good thing. There is no excuse for not knowing the parking rules, etc. - Secure package delivery service is nice - you're not dependent on office hours to get your stuff - Secure covered parking (can get a reserved spot for an extra fee) - especially nice since there a lot of car break-ins/thefts in the neighborhood - Social hub - can be used for personal or even business events (I hosted several breakfast meetings for my professional group there) - I didn't use the gym or pool much, but they are nice - Diverse mix of old/young/families/professionals and AMLI does a lot to help people socialize and feel welcome Cons: - It's a large complex and hard for visitors to navigate - the call box didn't always work and there isn't much wayfinding signage - Lots of extra fees for optional stuff - be prepared to pay a premium for monthly pet rent, reserved parking, on-site storage and even bike storage (really? this should be free in Austin!) but this is typical for the big apartment chains I understand - The elevator (I think there are only two for the entire building) has frequent maintenance issues, but fortunately there are only five levels - it's just a bummer when you have a ton of groceries to schlep from your car - The floors are not well-insulated and you will hear your upstairs neighbor and vice versa. The neighbor below me complained to the office the one time my nieces and nephews were visiting because he "could hear footsteps at 10 pm." I also got a complaint when I was out of town on business once - not sure what that was about. - Lots of noise from outside, especially on weekends and at night when people are showing off their car stereos in the parking lot across the street - It's expensive, but hey - I live in Brooklyn now so everything is relative! I've been living here for a few months, and have mixed feelings. In short, it's massively overpriced for what you get, especially with two much less expensive and equally nice/nicer apartment complexes right next door. THE BAD: Price - a small 1-bedroom here is several hundred more a month than comparables in the area. They jack up the price each year for lease renewals, which means high turnover, lots of empty units, angry tenants, and chaos from people moving in/out. Heard a neighbor sobbing in the hall the other day because they told her she'd have to pay a huge increase in rent after just 1 year of living there (unacceptable) in order to stay, and she couldn't afford to. Not OK, a horrible way to treat your tenants, and lowers the ratings badly. I have seen the office staff behave rudely with everyone who comes in - even prospective residents. I just avoid the office now, so doesn't affect the quality of life here in my opinion. Noise: while it's a quiet complex and they cater mostly to older people and retirees, the soundproofing between floors is not good. Prepare to hear and feel every footstep of your neighbors - downstairs and upstairs - and every sound from outside through the cheap windows. The courtyards are worse, as they echo really bad. THE GOOD: NOT a party complex - mostly older people, which I like. No parties allowed and even moderate music from residents is not tolerated, and people are respectful of their neighbors. Location - nice farmer's market in walking distance, and park across the street. It's really crowded on the weekends and there's lots of trash in the park, but hopefully that will get cleaned up better in the future. The pool is great for laps and is always clean and well-maintained, regardless of weather, and the indoor Paw Wash station on the 1st floor is really handy. Right now the biggest strike against Amli is the price - it's just not competitive at all, and compared with other nearby places, the construction, and the bad leasing office experiences, it's probably not worth it. read more

This is the third AMLI property I've lived in Austin and by far my favorite. From the beginning, my leasing agent Stephanie was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. She even warned me that they were working on exterior enhancements and there would be construction noise. Jullee also was an MVP leasing agent and came to the rescue before the major snowstorm. She allowed me to pick up my keys a day early and complete my walk-through because we had a feeling the weather was going to hit hard the office would be closed when I was scheduled to start my lease. I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with several people on the maintenance staff, all of which are so friendly and helpful. Chris and I even had a conversation about my dog and he let me know that he and others on staff had previous bad experiences with a similar breed on-site and that the staff may be uneasy around my dog - to which I was so thankful and understanding. Also, I love the greenery and walkability of this complex. Some downsides are upon construction, they didn't do a great job placing stairwells and elevators. Like many apartment complexes, the soundproofing isn't 100% - it's not a high rise. I read so many negative reviews about this, but it's something that you have to be understanding of when living in an apartment building and take the time to be considerate about your neighbors. read more

I have been at Amli since March. Beautiful property but by far completely disappointed in the living experience. I have lived with an odor in this apartment since March. They have attempted to resolve it but no one can. Yet I'm expected to pay full rent when I can't even stay here without making myself sick as it tends to come through my faucets. I own a home but rent due to my schedule and preference. I wouldn't dream of having my tenants pay me full rent when I couldn't resolve an issue timely. This is month 6! There's also a worm problem? Friendly staff for sure but for the price of rent and how competive Austin is, I wouldn't do this again. read more

Very timely. Request done on same day as requested. Thank you for the quick response. I requested that the front bottom part of my front door be touched up with paint and do a little sanding I editor and I think the job was done quite well the only disappointment that I had was that the sanding didn't seem to get all the rough places settle down before the paint was put on anyway am I guess that's my review again I thought things were good only thing is i thought a little bit more sanding should have been done on the rough places but thanks and thank you for getting to the request so quickly! I love this complex!! Since the first day when I was going through the AMLI with McKenna, I knew I would just love it here. She and Stephanie made the process and the move in for us, very smooth and pleasant! We moved here from San Diego in December of 2015, with that said, I am gonna lay out why the AMLI at Mueller should get 5 stars... Star 1: Friendly, Compassionate, Outgoing Office Staff (Very Professional) Star 2: Maintenance is amazing and prompt, anytime we have had an issue, (which is rare) it's handled in a timely manner and always with a smile and kindness! Jorge, Abel, and Jose have all been to my apartment and have been extremely helpful! They never have anything bad to say and will do whatever it takes to accommodate your needs. Best crew I have ever had to deal with! Robert the grounds keeper and cleaner of the building is always on top things, and does it with a smile! Star 3: Amenities are on point, Gym, Business Center, Conference Room, Social Hub (free coffee just bring your own cup and enjoy 6 different varieties/flavors of hot drinks), Onsite package center, Pick up laundry service (they will even fold it), Movie Nights, Sunday Brunch and Monthly Events, with much more for the tenants above and beyond!! Star 4: Community, Surrounding area and Complex are always beautiful and well maintained. Having the lake and the Farmers Market across the street is a plus if you love the outdoors and have animals! Star 5: Bribery Bakery, Witchcraft Brewery, and L'oca D'oro Italian Restaurant all in our complex, what else can I say!! Amazing place to live!! (HIghly Recommended) Now let's get to the NOISE!!! Come on it's an apartment complex, not a single family home. For those who have never lived in an apartment, you probably should have looked into it a lot deeper. These are normal community sounds and they will not change. Every community has its sound issues. There will be noise, you will hear your neighbors, construction (which has been going on since the AMLI has been built), laundry sounds, heavy walking (stomping), people playing ball with their dog on your ceiling, dropping items of substantial weight (possibly on purpose), yoga, children, etc. I could go on for hours, but in reality this complex is Fantastic!!! The Parking Garage: I agree that the parking garage is not a circuit. You honestly cannot ask the AMLI staff to manage how people are driving, etc. Stay out of the way (walking or driving), and make sure to walk through the stairways in the garage as often as possible. It is not the apartment communities fault that people do not have proper driving etiquette, etc. As far as the parking spots, they are clearly marked. If it says future resident parking, that is EXACTLY what it means. It doesn't mean, that you can park there overnight, or that you can park just bc, so don't park in these spots if you do not want an issue. We do have lots of guest parking!! The reserved spots (are paid spots)!! You cannot park in these clearly marked spots unless you pay! I have been a victim of people not reading and parking in my reserved spot. Again, not the complexes fault, it's people not taking responsibility for their actions. Typical in today's society!!! Crime: We have yes, had some crime and some of the issues have been in or near our building. Again, not something that the office has not addressed or has not tried to resolve to the best of their ability! (It's mostly outsiders who do not reside in this community committing the crime/s in this neighborhood) Just be a little more alert and don't go out at night alone. That's pretty standard these days... Emails: The Amli will send you emails, so the residents are aware of the activities, events, etc. that are going on each week or month. If you do not like all of the emails, you can unsubscribe to them. I find them very useful and helpful in most instances. Personally, I do not find some of these current reviews very accurate, and if you have something nasty or negative to say, please make sure to think before you write. We all don't want to live your bad experience due to lack of judgement, common knowledge, etc. Thanks All in all, I would tell you that this Community is awesome and I am so happy that we chose this location. It's convenient to downtown, many great restaurants, grocery stores, Alamo Drafthouse (coming), The Thinkery, Hotels, Shops, etc. Mueller has a lot more to offer than all the negative hype!!! It's so surprising to me that there are several negative reviews of Amli Mueller! I lived here for a year (summer 2015 - summer 2016) and had an excellent experience. The leasing/office staff were always professional, responsive, and kind, and it seemed like throughout my time there they were continuously seeking out/open to feedback and making improvements for residents (as it was such a new building). Excluding some noise that was noticeable from the courtyard area (my apartment overlooked the courtyard/pool area on the second floor), the apartment was VERY quiet and peaceful. I never heard noise from my neighbors at all. The courtyard noise was not a big deal to me as I expect some level of noise in an apartment building. I really liked the Luxer package retrieval system. I agree with other reviewers noting that residents drove irresponsibly and discourteously throughout the parking garage, however I don't feel that that is Amli's fault or within their capability to correct-- and as I recall, there were several emails sent out regarding driving cautiously in the garage. The logistic aspects of moving in and out were challenging/inconvenient for movers with heavy furniture due to the way the apartment complex is set up. I didn't fall in love with the restaurants/retailers that moved in or the larger neighborhood, but the Mueller Drafthouse is up and running now, which is pretty cool. While I was there, I felt like Amli had a young family and older folks vibe. Some other things that stand out-- the maintenance staff is awesome. Everyone I interacted with on the maintenance team was so kind, thorough, knowledgable and treated my home with care. The few minor issues that popped up for me were always fixed promptly and correctly the first time. Even though Amli and surrounding buildings were still under construction for at least half of the time I lived there, I never dealt with any of the expected construction inconveniences. The common areas were always outstandingly clean. The lake park is really beautiful and great to have just steps outside of your apartment. read more

My husband and I just moved into the Amli at Mueller apartments last week and the staff has been so attentive and quick to respond to our questions and needs. After moving our stuff into the apartment, we quickly realized we needed a storage closet which the apartment complex provides with a monthly fee. On the spot they set us up with a storage closet and are making it their priority to get us access to it within a few days. Aaron who works in the leasing office and Chris, the repair manager of the complex are so friendly and helpful, they are great to interact with and they welcome all questions. read more

There have been some ups and downs living at AMLI at Mueller. The service maintenance guys are excellent, polite, and courteous. They're the highlight of this apartment community! On the other hand, we've experienced and noticed the office staff and management being rude / arrogant to us and other tenants. We expected more professionalism than what we've seen an encountered from the office staff here, although there are a couple of good apples in the front office. The floors, ceilings, and walls are extremely thin. You will hear your tenants walking above you wearing heels or boots, rolling things around, and moving other objects. You will hear the washing machine buzzing alarm when your neighbor's laundry is done. You will hear their fights and be woken up -- it will happen. You will hear their TV's without question. If the tenants below you have their music on, you will definitely hear and feel it. You can call the Amli patrol, which can take over an hour for them to actually show up and confront the noisy tenant all the while you can't sleep. The other tenants point the finger at you; it's a ridiculous cycle of the blame game. You're better off calling the police to get real action taken. You will hear construction in every direction that you walk in starting at 6:00 am in the morning and whenever you come home from work -- and on Saturday's too. Tenants fly up and down the parking garage ramps nearly hitting people weekly. A couple of months ago, someone completely ran into the parking garage gate, which took about a week to get replaced. Amli will put a sticker on your car if you park in the guest area, and will tow you if you do it again as other reviewers have mentioned. Just call or email the tenant first. The surrounding areas of Mueller, and the crime that goes with it, end up at Amli. We've received crime email notices about: 1. Cars that have been stolen *inside* the parking garage 2. Cars that were broken into *inside* the parking garage 3. Cars broken into on the side streets around the apartment grounds 4. A resident held up at knife point in the park across the street in the park. 5. Storage facilities were broken into on the second floor completely bypassing the security key fob system and scaling a fence up to the 2nd floor. Amli had two "temporary" security guards walk the premises after this for a brief time giving a false sense of security. Those guards were gone in a matter of weeks further signaling the property manager's lack of concern for the safety and property of its tenants. Instead of management being proactive regarding the vehicles being stolen and broken into, they choose to do nothing, which is incredible for the rents they charge here. Solution: Install security cameras inside the parking garage on each floor. Cameras alone act as deterrents. Security camera footage can easily be shared with the police, ultimately reducing crime, and protecting your tenants. Your business image improves because you choose to do the right thing, and your tenants spread the word. Reality: The common AMLI response is that "crime can happen anytime, anywhere." It is breathtaking that tenant and property security is of no concern. I've never experienced so much crime in one apartment before. AMLI protects the rest of their property with cameras in the mail and package rooms. Their concerned about their property, but not the tenants, their cars, and would rather let the tenants' insurance companies handle any problems. Anyone see a trend here? People leave the apartment metal screen doors ajar, which can let anyone in at any time. Solution: install a self closing door throughout the building instead of sending "reminders to tenants." People make mistakes and aren't perfect. Lighting is very dark inside the breezeway near the entrances. Solution: Install more lights illuminating the walkways as another deterrent. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. We tell all of our friends to not live here and deal with all of the hassles. It's just not worth the money or your safety. *Updates*: 12.5.16 - *Multiple* cars on the first floor garage were broken into behind the parking gate. My car has an alarm system that locks when you walk away from it. I double check it by making sure it's locked with the key fob. Management claimed some of these cars "may have been unlocked." I doubt that many people left their cars unlocked -- another excuse and shrug off of the bigger security issue at hand. 6.6.16 - Cars were broken into in the parking garage. -At least one car was stolen prior to June inside the parking garage -2nd floor storage units broken into. read more
