Aaron did a fantastic job in repairing a brick sill that had sloped inwards(rather than away from the interior) after previous foundation work. This was in advance of having a new window installed. He came when he said he would, was courteous, professional, and above all competent. The sill looks great now, and is the only evidence(other than the cleared check LOL) that he was here; left no debris at all. I think the price was very reasonable for the work done. 1) Reasonable quote - not the cheapest but some detail and when it came to paying it was cheaper than the quote because we did not pour a new concrete footing. 2) He showed me what bricks he would use. They were a bit black due to muck but he said that would washnoff with the rain. And actually the bricks looked great when they were done. 3) Arrived to do the work when he said he would. And cleaned up. Left the site good and tidy. Overall, I'd recommend AMJ Masonry. Honest work, done well. No complaints and no hesitation in sharing my opinion. AMJ responded quickly and was able to schedule a time to complete the work with an estimate. I actually sent my quote request to 4 other companies via Yelp and only 2 other companies responded. Because it was a simple job, I only needed to send a picture of the damage I needed repaired on my brick facade to provide the estimate. I left a message for 4 different masonry companies I found on Yelp last Friday. 0 of 4 companies returned my call and this was one of them. Now to be fair, I did leave voicemails on May 25th, Memorial Day weekend, at around 2pm. However, I feel I've been reasonable patient to expect a return call after 3+ business days, yet, still not one returned call! UPDATE: After posting this review 2 companies, AMJ and another did get back to me, both via Yelp, neither called me personally. (find that sad) I returned the call of first since - he was not only first to reply but also had a more thoughtful apology for missing my call. AMJ Masonry did a fabulous job repairing our mailbox that was in complete shambles after someone hit it. Aaron was very quick to return my call (actually he was the only one of about 8 masonry companies I called), and he was very courteous and genuine on the phone. He gave us a quote the same day, and was scheduled for the job a few days later. Aaron even came out the day before they started work just to see the damage, make sure the bricks matched, and check in - talk about great service!! The AMJ crew showed up bright and early on an August morning to start repairing our mailbox and worked hard all day long in the 100+ weather all day. They had to have put in a 10 hour day, and the results of their long hours and hard work are absolutely amazing. I honestly thought we'd never have a mailbox as nice as the one that was built with our home, but the mailbox that AMJ Masonry constructed is by far 200% better than what we started with and what I ever imagined. We have been experiencing some leaks during the heavy storms lately and one of our fixes was having a mason out to check our outside brick wall, since we are not exactly sure how it is getting inside. Aaron was our third mason to reach out to and was the first one to answer. He came out very quickly to quote us and told me how to fix one of the problems myself, but I opted to have him fix everything since his price was very fair. He came out a few days later and did great work. He brought some other issues to my attention and I had him fix those as well since he offered to do so for a good price.
