My 5 year old was complaining about tooth pain. I thought I saw a cavity But wasn't sure. Was so busy with work that Ive been such a bad mom and haven't been able to bring her in sooner. Finally brought her in today and found out she's got a handful of cavities and one is so bad she needed extraction. Dr. G was able to fit her in today to do the extraction and spacer. During the procedure he showed me that one of the cavity is worse than what he saw initially. So.... She needed a cap. Dr. G is phenomenal. He was so patient with my daughter explaining everything to her. Mind you, this child of mine is what you would call a "scary cat." Though she was probably freaking out, dr. G kept her calm. I saw my baby grow up before my eyes. Able to verbalize when the procedure is getting too much and needed a break. Though I'm not looking forward to the next visit to fill in her other cavities. I'm happy that it's with Dr. G. And kaitlyn is also great. She's super nice and very thorough with explaining things with me. read more

It was our first visit to a dentist period and Dr. A as he had my kids call him was great! He took the time to calm them down when he saw anxiety or fear strike their faces. The assistant in the back was super patient with my older son as he tried to basically pull control tactics on her. The front office person was sweet and friendly too. My kids loved walking in to any office with toys and their favorite shows surrounding them! The Dr. took the time to clean my younger ones' teeth himself. Both kids were rewarded for cooperating with stickers and balls or sticky hand things which they totally loved. And who doesn't love toothbrushes and mini toothpaste! I have 3 kids coming to this office and so far we love it. My kids are excited to come back every time. There are TVs they can watch while getting their teeth cleaned and it helps keep them focused on something other than the procedure. One of my kids are scared of everything and it's hard for him to sit still, but he's done a great job here. The staff is very kid friendly, calm, and comforting to my kids. My son had a new tooth coming in and it just wouldn't break through his gum was already purple and swollen. His pediatric dental office was closed, And not many offices were open or taking new patients because of the Covid 19 shelter in place. I found this Dr that was able to take me within two days of calling him. He was able to perform the procedure the day of our appointment. He was very informative of the whole procedure and what was to be expected as well as why it happened. Small office but I like it, it's more personal and easier to communicate. My kids love it here, it seems to be more relaxed and has a family feel to it. But make no mistake, he is very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing. Communicates very well, doesn't try to add on unnecessary charges by recommending bells a whistles which are not needed, which I appreciate. He simply fixes the issues and suggests certain treatment options which are available should we opt for it. My daughter just had a tooth pulled out today and she said "best dentist ever"! Took my 20 month old to see Dr. G today. The office is kid friendly which is a huge plus and he was also pretty patient with him although the exam lasted less than 10 minutes since he is too young for X-rays. He also showed me how to properly brush his teeth & clean his gums which was extremely helpful b/c it was a lot easier than the way me & his dad had been doing it. We came across Dr Goyal after encountering a dental 'emergency' for my 5yo back in April (all during covid lockdown) and was worried I wouldn't be able to get an pediatric dentist to help since this was at the peak of lockdown. I called Dr Goyal's office and luckily there was a response. He asked me some questions and we were able to make an apt for my child the next day. While I was hoping to have a visit in their Antioch location, we didn't mind going out to Livermore to resolve the issue. My child had a 'shark tooth' situation and were not sure if the baby teeth were going to need to be extracted. After evaluating the situation, that is exactly what Dr Goyal recommended-this was also my child's first dentist apt. Dr Goyal made my child feel super comforted and explained things to her step by step which really helped. He didn't seem to mind when she had a minor meltdown-and was able to deescalate the situation. It was a great experience and we decided to book a follow up apt which would be at their Antioch office. We recently had the follow up apt and same experience was had with Dr Goyal, he made my daughter feel super comfortable even after another meltdown. I would recommend! read more

I wish I can say I had a good experience with Dr. Goyal but I can't. I have been taking my daughter to him since she was one year old and every 6 months after that for her regular cleaning. At every appointment, Dr. Goyal would personally assist us by taking her X-Rays and cleaning her teeth. He would send us off saying everything look great and good job mom for taking good care of her teeth. However a few years fast forward, a week after her 6 months appointment clean up, I notice something odd with my daughters teeth. I took her back in, a week later after we just seeing Dr. Goyal to find out she had multiple cavities and some were so bad that she need baby root canals!! How did this happen when we just saw him a week ago? It's beyond me! Dr. Goyal tried to make an excuse saying he wasn't able to detect the cavities because of poor X-Ray photos when he would personally take those photos himself and never once mention he was unable to get good pictures of certain teeth. Now my poor daughter, at the age of 3, has multiple cavities that require extensive treatment such as going under for baby root canals. This should have NEVER EVER happen especially since my daughter was seeing Dr. Goyal every 6 months. I ended up taking her files and going to a complete different dental office, an office that actually cares about their patients. I want to let everyone know about my nightmare with Dr. Goyal in hoping this never happens to any other child out there! If I had gone to someone else from the beginning, I wouldn't have to be dealing with seeing my child go through the pain of getting fillings and baby root canals. It's just something a 3 year old should never have to deal with. read more
