Great place. I've come here before for the veg appetizer platter and rotisserie chicken. Today for lunch I opted for the falafel with baba and wasn't disappointed. Service always with a smile. Humble space but with nice ambience.

Recently came for a late lunch and everything was wonderful. Much more seating compared to her last location, with a mix of bar, booth, and table seating. We were greeted right away by friendly Amira, and our food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time too. I ordered Amiras tea to start and a water to enjoy with chicken shawarma. Both were excellent! I also am obsessed with Manakeesh so I ordered a mix plate of it knowing I would take most of it home (and that's fine, it's great the next day too). Service was phenomenal as she came back frequently to check on us and give us our bill. FYI, there is a "3% admin fee" which I believe is when you pay with a card. Love everything here and hope to come back again soon!

Food is five stars. Absolutely wonderful. Service tonight is like one star maybe two stars but you know what I think it was a new server and language was a real problem so I didn't want to jeopardize the places reviews because of what might have been a bad night The only time I've been there. Based on the food it's absolutely five stars I had lamb chops which were done perfectly The hummus and the baba ghanoush and the falafels were just perfect. Anyway my family and I will go back there.

Good Palestinian food and nice service. Food is halal. The mix kebab platter was great especially with the garlic sauce. The lentil soup was mediocre though. It was a bit too sour. I make better at home.

Arabian Salata: chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, scallions, and parsley tossed with EVOO & lemon juice.

Amira is very friendly. We chatted while my food was being made. She had a business on Tonawanda St near Black Rock for 43 years before moving into the current restaurant location at Cayuga & Cleveland Dr. I ordered the Vegetarian Combo appetizer, with hummus, tabouli, baba gannouj, falafel, and Dawali and the Lamb Kabob roll, with a little spice. Everything was made fresh and tasted so good. I'm glad I can walk here for lunch!

Came to the new location. Service was good. Food was delicious. Has kibbie and beef kefta. Had enough to take some home.

1/2 chicken with a side of tabouli and Arabian Salata.

I enjoyed a nice lunch with Amira's Kitchen. I am so glad I visited. They promote "All are welcome," and I felt welcome from the moment I entered. I enjoyed their 1/2 chicken w/ 2 sides and was not disappointed. The chicken was a good sized bird and flavorful with the juice locked in. The skin had a nice char that was very enjoyable. For my two sides I added the tabouli and Arabian Salata. I absolutely loved the tabouli. OMG the Parsley did not dominate the dish. It was a nice balance and very enjoyable. The Salata was very good, but wish I'd tried their rice instead. Between the two I def would go with the tabouli. The portions were reasonable for $23. I added a Sprite for $2. I would return and recommend supporting this local business.

    Sambusa - $11

As a Middle East-born and raised Shawarma enthusiast, I had to stop by to check out this place. As an appetizer, we ordered 5 sambusas for $11. We then ordered a beef kefta plate and a chicken shawarma. Amira was extremely friendly and stopped by the table. She stated that the rotisserie chicken was one of the most popular items. As a shawarma enthusiast, mostly as this was my snack of choice for the first 18 years of my life, I chose the "chicken shawarma wrap" for $13. The marriage between the meat and the other items was perfect. The shawarma was not dry and well put together. Now, I was very disappointed with the rotisserie chicken used. This is not shawarma style meat. The chicken is supposed to be tender in the center and crispy on the side, and also not taste like rotisserie chicken. My friends beef kefta plate($25) was good. They also charge for water. The prices are on the higher side compared to another competitor in the area, though the kebabs are decent.

Party of 8 and First time trying this restaurant- we were the first group to arrive before what seemed like the dinner rush and We were seated and attended to right away. Owner took down our order and was great about answering our menu questions. All of the dishes came out pretty close to one another. They missed one side of our order but when we addressed it, it was corrected right away. The food itself was very good, portions were generous, and every one of us was left more than satisfied. Must encourage everyone to order the mint lemonade, as well as the mujadara. Delicious.

Authentic and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. Family run restaurant. You can taste the love of cooking in each bite. Everything was fresh and delicious. Halal. The mixed grill was fantastic. The grilled lamb chops were a juicy meaty treat - a great find! The grilled meat entrees were served with basmati rice that's blended with vermicelli and slivered almonds. I could keep eating the rice alone! So good! As the other yelpers have written previously, the baba ganoush was outstanding. So creamy and seasoned perfectly. The mint lemonade was wonderful on hot and humid summer evening. Portion sizes very generous . Pricing is fair considered it made fresh with good ingredients and meats. Amira and her husband are running this family restaurant. Amira served us. She made sure we all enjoyed our food. I know we will be back to try more on the menu very soon! Dinner on 8/4/23.

I had the lamb shawarma, and because it was after 2pm, I could no longer order it a la carte. However, this was a blessing as the combo gave me a chance to try more of their food, and everything was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. There are posted signs at the register that a surcharge of 3.5% is added unless you're paying cash. I'm looking forward to returning with my family for their lentil soup, fattoush salad, babaganoush, and hummus. Chilled beverages and tea for purchase; no alcohol allowed on the premises. Very family friendly.

I heard the owner explain to another patron how all the Rachel locations are independently owned by the extended family. While we waited, we observed a healthy walk on trade for lunch takeout. My chicken shawarma pita was crammed full of tasty, thinly sliced chicken breast with pickles and a couple of French fries. My companion had a very delicious chicken rice bowl with a pita on the side. Every bit as good as any dish you'll find at Rachel's Mediterranean locations around Western New York. Well, on the positive side, I had a really nice time in good company. The restaurant was clean,…read morerather spacious, and I certainly appreciated the white tablecloths. We sat at a round table that perfectly fit our group of seven. It was a very comfortable setting, so we could talk freely. We came for "Buffet Night Wednesday," served from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. Around 6:30 p.m., I felt like we were late to the party and should have been grateful there was still some food left. We knew a large group of 25 people would be coming for the buffet that day, but I didn't think it would be a problem. The buffet looked kind of sad to me. I managed to sample almost everything, even Goat Curry. Everyone said it was very good. I passed on the Samosas (not too appetizing looking). Also, I didn't want to commit to the whole piece of Tandoori Chicken, so I checked the Chicken 65 instead. It was nothing like I had tried before, but the bite size pieces were good, plus it wasn't really spicy. Everyone's favorite, Butter Chicken, was very tasty. I had only a small piece of chicken. When I went back for another one, it was gone, only the sauce remained. I think just one dish was refilled during our entire stay. I was hoping for fresh Samosas, but it didn't happen. The Tofu dish was one of my favorites. Luckily, there were just a few pieces hanging around, so there was no risk I could overeat at this particular buffet. For dessert, I had a little white pudding. It was a generic dish you'll find in every Asian buffet, nothing special. We learned that the ownership had changed, but it seemed like it was still a family business. The children were supposed to clean up the dirty dishes, but they didn't. We were surrounded with dirty plates, and none of the employees seemed to care. This was my first visit to Shalimar BBQ & Grill, and I can't compare my experience to previous quality. I can't complain about the taste and flavor, really, but the entire buffet was missing something. Maybe the food? :)
