Food was way over cooked and quite bland. The white pizza we ordered might as well have been cardboard.

It is great to have a place that serves upscale food but isn't stuffy and pretentious. Service is always friendly and efficient. I love that they have a rotating seasonal menu. It is on the higher end price wise, but you get what you pay for. And that means nice portions, quality ingredients and excellent taste. If you are looking for a place for a great date night or a special occasion, this is a perfect place.

Got a Pinot noir wine and waters Starter=soup of the day: tomato w/ chickpea and chorizo- bold tomato flavor and lots of arugula in it. Not so much chorio but flavor was very good, not overly salty. 10/10 After the soup we put our nit-picking goggles on as we knew this was a pretty sophisticated meal. Daily special- pan seared mahi mahi with asparagus fennel kohlabi and arugula salad citrus buerre Blanc. Light citrus flavor is found thru the mahi mahi, its sauce and the salad. Very congruent. Asparagus was a neutral addition. Not flowing with or against the mahi. Fish was cooked well. Just lots of raw red onion on the salad was a little overpowering. 7/10 Red wine braised short rib- didn't ask how well done, so seems chefs choice. We have a preference towards med rare. This was cooked well done making it a tad tough-stringy. Mashed potatoes with some larger pieces of potato, but very neutral plain flavor, great with the beef sauce. Carrots cooked well, just neutral, natural flavor. Overall a very classic flavor combo that works.7/10. Would stop by again to try more dishes. Ps- when paying we noticed final bill to sign was more than first bill at table. When we asked why the difference we were told it's the credit card fee of $3. This was really the first time I've seen this at a restaurant, yet alone at a decent place like one. Would have been best for them to tell us this upfront.

Great authentic Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients. Nice Italian style decor with a family friendly atmosphere. The service is always on point, fast and friendly servers. Our go to appetizers are usually the homemade meatballs with ricotta cheese and crab stuffed hot peppers, both are delicious! I haven't found something I don't like here. All the chicken dishes are great including the Parm and Marsala are my go to dishes. A nice selection of seafood and veal as well. I've had catering from here and the chicken and beef dishes were great. The meal included mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I especially love to support small family owned businesses. Highly recommended! The only problem I usually have here is what to order! Hahaha! Salute

We were greeted and seated quickly, then waited about 5 minutes before our server came. She was very professional and pleasant. After one bite of the Chicken Marsala I had ordered, I just couldn't bring myself to eat any more of it. The gravy was awful. There's just no way to describe it. Our server kindly suggested alternate meals. I chose Chicken Parmesan without cheese. It was delicious. That red sauce was scrumptious, though a tad on the sweet side. My husband ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and thought it was mediocre. (He judges restaurants by this meal.) Then he ordered the Chocolate Bavarian cake. He thought it was light and tasty. Not too sweet at all. Yummy. The Christmas music playing was wonderful to listen to but played too loudly. We prefer the music be in the background so we may have conversations. I had a headache until I left the restaurant. I absolutely loved how they decorated for Christmas throughout the whole restaurant! Their service is not fast, so this is not a place for a quick meal.

Unfortunately, over the past few years there has been a steady decline in the food, and the service. Tonight, my family ordered take out. A family bolognase was one of the dishes & upon picking It up and taking It back home, we opened the container to find literally no sauce. The manager Dan offered the explanation of an "inexperienced chef" and "credit" toward the next meal. Additionally, the staff person who took the order, was simply unkind. To make matters worse, just recently I had a business meeting and had It catered by Pasqualino's. They failed to provide any dressing for a 20 person salad and made another large mistake with the order. They didn't offer to refund and also refused to deliver any of the necessary items to complete the meal. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because i know there's potential in this restaurant, because It used to be good. I hope they can figure It out.

I would like to try it some time. Also, the manager and chef both asked us how everything was, which I thought was nice. My only complaint is that it was really loud inside. We were in the main dining area (there's a lounge as well) which has nothing to suppress the noise. It's concrete flooring with metal chairs. Not a good mix. It didn't help that we were seated by the area where they prepare your drinks and clang dishes around. Next time I would like to go on a nice day so I can sit in their outside space. It is next to a trail so it would be a good spot to take a break at if you're walking or biking. Overall, the service and food were great, but the ambiance could be better.

My mom the matriarch, myself and my very Irish guy who loves Italian food too stopped at Shrodi's for an early dinner. Yes, I've been seeing the many posts and comments on social media. Yes, I know the very long family history and know the infamous shrodi from his restaurant back in the good ol' days. So that is my prelude to this dining experience today. We walked in and were greeted by Natalie who also lucky for us was our fabulous server. Italian. Authentic. Tradition History What is better than a quaint stone restaurant with a Basil garden thriving as you walk up? Well, a family tradition and staff who all welcome you as family .. yes, we know the family history of Shrodi. The menu was plentiful and the selections took much time to choose and with the outstanding help of Natalie we made our picks! What is cool is my mom is not a big eater anymore and chose off the senior menu which is very clever to have available and still had enough leftovers for lunch today. The stuffed banana peppers with Sunday sauce were amazing. Three served generously and one went home! Veal piccata was delish with a nice zest of lemon. Large portions! House salad with their house dressing to add according to our taste. Many kalamata Olives. Cherry tomatoes Fresh mushrooms. And freshest mixed greens Our Irishman picked his favorite penne with vodka sauce. It was the best he's ever had. And he's super picky. I have to agree! The added prosciutti and seasonings were truly mouth watering. The chef is masterful in the kitchen and believe me, every mouth watering taste was worth the wait! Natalie was fabulous and attentive to us from hello to see you again soon goodbye. Everyone waved goodbye as we left. Oh I forgot to mention they are making a bocce court out back to really add to its authentic Italian tradition and flair. It's a little bit of Heaven tucked away in Penn Hills! Do not pass it up!

Stuff your face but in a more elegant non-buffet feeling. However, this location has lost most of that nostalgia at this point. The breadsticks are never as fresh. The salad is questionable. It is good that they provide such a large quantity, so when you remove the giant butts of inedible lettuce... you still have a normal amount. Olive Garden always has new items and I tried the new Steak & Shrimp Bucatini. Unfortunately... or maybe fortunately.. the steak lump was not cut into pieces, so I could see that it was a piece of roast and not a steak. The lack of sear on both proteins indicated that the cooking is most likely just sous vide.. boiled. My wife got the Fettuccine Alfredo. Nothing to write good or bad about. It was just average. PRO TIP: Always extra for extra sauce! They are just scooping from a large pot, so it doesn't cost any extra to get an extra cup. Takeout does have its perks. Olive Garden keeps you updated on the order readiness and provides parking spots for curbside. Just like Target, tell them you arrive and they bring it right out to you!
