Taco were large and tasty. Fast service being right off Duvall too. Would come back for more!

Service was good and the ambiance is just right , food was good too. Not our favorite by a long shot but good. Disappointed that there is no draft beer, also only soft tacos. Not a huge fan of the salsa either read more

Amigos - 3 tacos, shredded beef, steak, and chicken and a quesadilla, chips and salsa - Mexican Near Me - Key West, Florida

I was disappointed in my experience here. First, the service was horrible. We were there in the window for more than an hour, so, thankfully, there was people watching. Otherwise, we would have probably gotten up and left. The server left our drinks empty for long periods of time, and she rarely came to check on us at all. M the food is very mid. We started off with chips and salsa, but to be honest, the meal went downhill from there. I got a three taco platter, refried beans, and white rice. The beans were nasty, the rice was fine, and the tacos were good, but the shells were a little overwhelming. the chicken quesadilla was as expected. Honestly, honestly, the best thing that we got was the potatoes! They had great sauce, and it's really hard to mess up french fries with cheese and a sauce. Like I said, I enjoyed people watching from the window as all of the cruise ship goers walked past, but all in all, we probably won't be coming again. read more

One year later, still a fun spot to have a great meal and people watch. My favorite is the veggie burrito bowl, tasty veggies cut just the right size, buttery jasmine rice cooked perfectly, plenty of seasoned beans. Service is always great, not rushed but attentive, waters refreshed. Decent beer options, although they were out of the first choice. No wine or other alcohol. They do have margaritas on the menu, they don't have tequila in them. Plain lemonade is super sugary. Parties of 4 or less are seated quickly. If your party is larger it may take a while for that many seats to free up during busy times. There is a 3% "convenience fee" if you pay with credit card. Cash and debit are not subject to this fee. read more

This place had the best soft tacos I've ever had. I had the chicken and beef taco with corn tortilla. Just a lot of good flavor. We ate outside under an umbrella so there is good shade. read more

Missed advertising, it says tacos and margaritas, in all reality, they do not have full liquor license, and they don't have real margarita! it's all wine based sangria and beer only. Tacos are good! read more

Great place for tacos and a few beers. Great location to people watch. It's been here along time too

When I tell you to run to run to this place for the corn. It's out of this world. The carnitas quesadilla was delicious too. Very slow service, but the food came out fast, the young guy running the food, clearing tables, cleaning was so hard working and fast. He was so polite too . I wish I had him at my work! I posted the menu and several pics but Yelp doesn't show them, sorry read more

Looking for a terrific hole in the wall Mexican place? You've found it! We actually wanted to find a Celiac friendly Mexican place - when I mentioned Celiac, the waitress immediately showed us what was gluten free on the menu and explained how they properly manage things in the kitchen (changing gloves, etc.). Can't tell you how awesome it is to find a place that immediately gets it. So if there are any kind of allergies in your family, you should be able to eat here safely. They know what they're doing. The food was on par. My husband ordered a burrito that was basically the size of his head. He only ate half and had the rest as a breakfast burrito the next morning. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos while my gluten free kid LOVED the gluten free beef quesadillas. He was in heaven (which doesn't happen often for him). It's an open air place, so just enjoy the atmosphere and the ceiling fans - no air conditioning. I also enjoyed a margarita on the rocks with salt. Yum! read more

Great drink assortment. Super flavorful tacos! I wish I had room to try more but I will say these are the best corn tortillas I've had in a while. This was my 3rd visit to KW and last time when I had a taco craving I went to another popular spot and felt pretty let down so I came to Amigos with low expectations but pretty hopeful. And I'm happy to report that I was actually impressed, between the value and quality along with atmosphere I was happy as a clam. I ordered the 3 taco platter special which was alot, next time I probably would just get the tacos. Everything was sooo flavorful and delicious I was actually upset I got full so fast. The service was friendly and consistent well worth supporting. As for the environment they offer outdoor seating, indoor seating and quite the space. I would totally recommend and plan on making this mainstay lunch/dinner spot when I return to KW. read more

Wow, wow, wow this place was exactly what we hoped. Really great tasting food and excellent service from a place that fills every seat from the moment they open. Had various dishes, Quesadillas with shrimp, Baja Tacos, Carnitas Tacos and bunch of other things I can't remember. Now if you are drinking on Duval and need to get some grub this place is the spot. Now I wasn't drinking and for me .... This is the spot! read more

After a snorkeling and sunset cruise, we decided we needed a bite to eat and went to Amigos. Best decision ever! We sat outside which was a prime location for people watching, a truly great experience in Key West! The roasted corn is off the charts! A must for sure. Fish tacos were tasty and the carnitas quesadilla was a tad greasy, but otherwise delicious. The veggie tacos were the only ho-hum item that was ordered. I wish I lived locally so I could get that roasted corn regularly!! read more

This such a fun place to sit at the inside outside bar and watch everyone walk by. I would pick the bar area over any tables. I tried my friends chip and salsa. The chips were great and the salsa was good but a little different for me. I got a carna asada quesadilla. I loved the carna asada and sour cream, the tortilla was good, but I did not like the cheese at all...not my thing at all. I would go back though to try a bowl. read more

Delicious! The refried beens were very tasty, a little spice taste to them but these are the best tasting refried beans I've ever had. You can mix and match the tacos you get as part of the platter (you get 3). They also have 2 special hot sauces. Both are spicy but definitely have different flavors to them which add an amazing taste to the tacos. The service was very fast and efficient. It's a small place but has tables inside and seating that also faces the street as well. It was nice and cool inside even though it was open to the outside. read more

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. We had been eyeing this place when we wanted to try Mexican while visiting the Keys and got here for a dinner time. The restaurant was quite packed with both indoor and outdoor seating offered simultaneously and luckily we were not made to wait at all. We were quickly attended by the waitress Tamara who was nice to offer suggestions based on our vegetarian diet. There can be no complaints on the quantity as the food came in large portions. We tried the nachos with chips, roasted corn on the cob, veggie tacos, cheese quesadilla and a veggie bowl. Needless to say the taste was pretty amazing. I rate this place a star lesser as it mandates customers to wear masks as we enter but they don't practice social distancing by making us sit apart even by 2 ft if not for 6 ft. They need to be more serious than just that hanging out a board for a place where wearing masks is impossible while eating and when it's packed to the atom. read more

Apparently this is a hidden gem when you want late night good Mexican. After a day of hard work (yes, people work while visiting KW) it was time to wind down. You always need a place where you can soak up the alcohol and people watch at the same time. We sat at the bar facing the street, as it was closing time and they were gracious enough to feed us. I would give it 5 stars if it I hadn't eaten at El Castello in Jax. I'll definitely eat there again. read more

Super cute place! Great menu. Fast service. We decided to split the chicken nachos - since we walked past another table that had them and they looked delicious. Came with corn, choice of meat, Pico, jalapeño and sour bream and black beans. When they say black beans they actually mean 2 cans of black beans and don't rinse them so they soak through all your nachos. Honestly it was gross at how much beans they put on them. Ended up ordering chips and guac once we dissected through the nachos. Guac was warm but good. read more

Unfortunate to say that the food was so below average that we would never return. Great location and fun vibe but that would be all. Beef burrito was small , over priced and the meat was dry. Originally asked to include some vegetables but none were added. Wife order a bowl and wow talk about a very small size and it looked like a small child put it together - some rice - small amount of protein and some beans. Looked and tasted bad. For four people , no alcohol ordered and no appetizers the bill with tax reached 90 dollars Save your money and find something else - so many better options read more

Mahi tacos were fabulous! Fresh guac with chips is worth starting with. Salsa was thick and flavorful!

Went in to buy a t-shirt on our last day. Got no customer service and we had to flag down 3 employees to pay for it. When the slim brunette arrived No conversation was exchanged doing the transaction as if we were invading HER day! Not even a thank you nor have a nice day. She just walked away, no bag-nothing but I did get my receipt. Was expecting at least a TY or smile as we gave her. This left us questioning about our purchase and the restaurant. We visit every time were in Key West! We were there 1/28/23 @ 12:33pm. Sad because we did pay $35 for a cheap long sleeve t-shirt for our son who couldn't join us on this trip and he only asked for another one of your shirts. read more

Amigos was our last dinner in key west and I was not disappointed Many of the restaurants we came across seemed touristy; with the same items and very similar (higher) price points. We were looking for a good meal, substancial amount, and a decent price. They were able to seat us quickly here despite it appearing crowded. They seem to move people out of here quickly even though the service wasn't very swift. They seemed a bit overwhelmed with the rush. We ordered the 3 tacos platter which comes with rice and beans. Get the flour tortillas. We accidentally received the corn tortillas for our tacos to go and they were soggy and falling apart. Not nearly as good as the flour tortillas. Baja fried fish taco - really good. Great sauce and the fry on it was light Grilled shrimp taco - amazing. The sauce on it was really good and the shrimp were plump and juicy Grilled fish taco - least favorite. Still tasty but they didn't put enough fish in there it seems Black beans- delicious. Lots of flavor and a hearty amount The rice was nothing special but pouring the beans over it along with a few squirts of the really hot green hot sauce made it pretty good. Chicken quesadilla - standard. Nothing to write home about but if you order the large it is packed with meat. Mexican fried potatoes- really good. The sauce on top would have been a nice addition to the quesadilla. The potatoes were crispy but not too hard and they tasted fresh cut and fresh fried. Like they just made them. They had lots of beers options and always margaritas. We stuck to water this time but would definitely return when back in key west! read more

We stopped by around 12:30 on a weekday and it was busy but we got a table right away. We order a round of drinks while we decided ehuch of the many tacos we should try. Their menu advertises that they are the only place that used square corn tortillas which can hold more filling and it definitely seemed true in my case. I got the grilled shrimp and potato & chorizo tacos. They were very filling but held together well. Both were delicious but the potato & chorizo was particularly flavorful. We also got and order of chips & guac and a side of hot salsa to share. The guac was fresh with big chucks of avocado and the salsa was a thinner style with a nice heat. A great lunch! read more
