Tacos Gobernador.
Jay B.

Really liked this place during a recent visit. Four and a half stars would be a more accurate rating, but I'll round up because I had good shrimp in the middle of northern Arkansas. Chips and salsa were pretty good, but my family was ready to order before I was so I felt rushed (it's a large menu). They had something called Tacos Gobernador, which was shrimp, cheese, poblano peppers and a creamy sauce. The taco shells had a great crisp to them. Man, was I glad I was rushed. Truly a great flavor on these bad boys. You get three, but I crushed one before I got a picture. Get these!

Liked: *Hours *Menu variety *Kind service *Food flavor *Clean restrooms with baby changing station *Artwork selection *Indoor & outdoor seating *Music Must try!! *Coctel de Camarón *Quesabirrias -- dip them in the consomé! *Torta de asada Could improve: *Aguas frescas, especially Horchata *Spicier salsa *Entrance waiting/seating area *Teamwork (when it started getting busy, other employees would just look but not offer a "someone will be with you shortly," people that came in would just look around for a while)

I came in with a large group for a birthday party and we had a blast! The food was amazing and the service was top notch! I got the flan for dessert and it was so good! Everyone had a great time and I'll be back the next time I'm in Arkansas!

Beef Fajita Burrito with white queso

My husband and I were amazed by the delicious Mexican food at Amigos! Our meal started with complementary chips and salsa. The red salsa had a very good flavor, fresh tomatoes, cumin, just exquisite. My husband said his beef and cheese enchiladas were fantastic. The meat was very tender and perfectly ground. The chili sauce had amazing flavor. I enjoyed my beef fajita burrito, it was stuffed full of beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, and the white queso dipping sauce was a great compliment! My husband enjoyed the Cadillac margaritas. I had the chili mango margarita which was fantastic and I also enjoyed eight jalapeño margarita, but I did ask with no jalapeño seeds and it was perfect. We are from San Antonio, Texas, where we have wonderful Mexican food so this was a surprise to find a delicious Mexican restaurant in Eureka Springs!

Tacos el pastor

Cute spot! They have outside seating also. Lots of seats inside. Service was pretty good. I got the el pastor street tacos. They were really good. Came with rice and beans. Portion is great. Very traditional. I like how they give one lime ‍ per taco and they are big so there's plenty to go around. Great place!

I am not one for Mexican food, I am the type of guy that gets a quesadilla. Amigos changed that for me. This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever had. Highly recommend!!!

Enchiladas de fajitas and Tacos Gobernador, both are delicious!

Excellent dishes to fit any Mexican cuisine tastes. Quick service, but we usually do lunch and it's been rarely ever crowded. Ambiance is nice as well! I highly recommend the Enchiladas de Fajitas and Tacos Gobernador.

The atmosphere and service is really great. We tried the nachos and the fajitas. The food was average, nothing special or worthy of going out of your way for

They added a tip on party of 4...I felt like I was in bogota Colombia!

10/10. Tl;dr. Excellent choice. You gotta try it…read more We're from San Antonio, so we're spoiled by options for great Mexican food. I was skeptical about a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of Branson, Missouri, but we were pleased to find this hidden gem. If this restaurant was in San Antonio it would be on my short list of top choices, at least based on the one experience. We all agreed it exceded expectations and if we're ever back in Branson, we'll return. The parking lot was empty when we arrived, not a good sign, but it was 2:00pm on a weekday, in the off season (early May with temps in the upper 50's) so we decided to chance it. We walked in and were the only customers there. Everything only got better from there We received a healthy servings of chips with a small carafe of salsa, so no need to ask for refills. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole. It was on point. We repeatedly remarked how fresh and tasty everything was. My wife had a mango margarita. It came with plenty of mango flavor, including some fresh mango chunks. I had the ground beef chili relleno with a side order of cactus (nopales). I've had many disappointing chili rellenos, but this one was perfect. The ground beef was well seasoned and not to dry or too sloppy like you sometimes get. Is was very lightly breaded, so if you really like a lot of batter, that might be a negative for you. It was served "open-faced ", sliced open so the ground beef, topped with plenty of cheese, was on top of, not really stuffed inside the poblano chili, but it was awesome. The cactus strips had been stewed with onion, tomato and jalapeños, so it was almost like a spicy warm salsa, or if you've ever had spicy green beans cooked with tomato and jalapeño, it was kinda like that - really good. My wife had enchiladas with a side of fried ripe plantains (maduros) and our grown son had tacos. Again, everything was great. The server was attentive and food service was quick (to be fair, we were the only customers). This is a small place They have a patio but it was chilly so we sat inside. There were only 5-6 booths and 4-5 tables but the decor was nice. They played mostly mexican pop music ( incl. Selena - Bailey Este Cumbia) with some American pop - a nice mix. I almost never post to Yelp. I had to recover my password to post this, cuz its been years, but I didn't want to let this pass without giving these folks credit.

Awesome Mexican food, very original, margaritas with a splash of grand marnier and the service is…read moreimpressive. We were visiting from Florida playing golf and ate there twice!
