Company was hired by USAA. Company was quick in arriving to my vehicle. Tech was quiet but efficient. Did not receive notification when the job was completed. Tech left key in vehicle instead of dropping off at a night box at service center. The customer service representative was "short" on the phone and acted like leaving the keys in the car overnight is acceptable. Rep hung up before even completing the phone conversation with me. Have passed information about the company to USAA in hopes that someone else doesn't have to deal with a non-communicative and unprofessional company. read more

To be honest I was concerned about being in a truck with a stranger, but he was super friendly and made me feel very safe in his care! Horrible Service!!! IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, DO NOT USE THEM!!! I was in a major accident after I just went grocery shopping, and taken to the hospital. I have three kids at home so was more concerned about the food in that vehicle then myself. I sent my mother and my sister down there to pick it up. They wouldn't allow them into my vehicle without paying $90 gate fee, talk about no compassion for someone that was just a major accident, and being hurt in the hospital. They proceeded to make it worse by not allowing them to pull up next to my vehicle to unload everything and made them walk in and out of the parking lot back-and-forth multiple trips while just watching them with smirks on their faces and telling them to hurry up they need to get out of there. To end it all, my insurance called 3-way to have my vehicle released and ask about the $90 charge. Because I have insurance but the proof was with me at the hospital. Whoever answered the phone was rude to the insurance company and I. Then passed us on to the owner who was worse. Then proceeded to hang up on us!! These are great people!! You get in a wreck your vehicle is a total loss, you go to the hospital and now out of work. These people are out for themselves and screw over the unfortunate! Starter gone on truck, geico pays tow in full and ordered tow at 730pm and by 910pm I was on phone w Joe claiming geico never sent dispatch info. Geico sent it 3x! And verified email address with the company...they just don't wana work! Can't count on these guys! read more

OnStar contacted 31 other towing companies trying to find us someone that would tow us at 11pm on New Year's Eve... Most quoted us at least a four hour wait or they would only take a $350 cash payment (Because families generally wander around with $350 in their pockets). Amesbury towing was courteous, fast, worked with OnStar and we were able to get home safely in under an hour and a half!!! Thank you so much!!! read more

After the job was done, they wanted more money then was originally quoted and held my keys hostage until I paid the balance. Rude and unethical. Do not call these people. Amesbury Towing is contracted by a Hyundai Roadside. I needed a tow from Haverhill MA to Salem NH, and Amesbury would not come and get me. They said I was too far! Hyundai didn't know and I waited 90 minutes (the expected wait time) before I called to find out what was going on. WTF!! I ended up using AAA instead. Just had a very brief towing experience in Amesbury. Needed a quick 5 mile tow, the driver was there before I was, and it cost me $85 which I feel is fair for that distance. The driver was polite and got my car back safely and quickly. 5 stars because they were efficient and make no mistakes. read more

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Salisbury. My car was towed by request and contract of Salisbury police. The tow driver was contacted that evening after he dropped the vehicle in the lot to come back so I could get my house keys. The driver said he was not even home yet so I was thankful he came back. The following day I went to get my car out of the lot and had a $385 bill for the tow. $90- towing, $90- service charge (to give me my keys), $21 miliage, $3.33 fuel charge, $35- clean up (isnt that included in the tow by state regulations? There were only a few pieces of plastic and some glass total hookup took 10 minutes) $20- admin fee (owner states thats on Salisbury and that they demand that fee for all tows and he never even sees that money??) $90- gate fee (this was to tow my car outside his fence so Pats towing could get my car off the lot the following afternoon. Yet, their website states they serve all AAA needs, I get informed they wont tow for my AAA plus but will gladly charge me $90 for another company to do the tow) $385 to get my car after an accident, and he has the nerve to inform me how lucky I am and how they are doing me a solid giving me my car??? I am new to the state and the area so having my family so far away I felt extorted and intimadated. I can only hope this is an isolated incident and not how local politics are done around here. read more
