While browsing at LX Factory, we had a craving for pizza and were lucky enough to find Pizzeria AMesa for lunch. Similar to most places in LX Factory, it didn't open for lunch until 12:30. The place is pretty large inside but we opted to sit outside and enjoy the great weather. Our waitress explained the concept of sharing pizzas, sitting at communal tables and not eating pizza with a fork and knife. Other reviewers seem to have problems with that, but I don't understand why. The pizza is cut in squares and it's easy to pick up. How else would you eat it??
We started with the garlic bread and it was good. We then had the Bairro Alto pizza - which had a salami (I believe) with red pepper jelly. The red pepper jelly was the standout and made the sauce absolutely delicious with a combination of sweet and spicy.
The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good with our waiter trying to teach us a little Portuguese at the same time. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a good pizza. read more
