I was looking into a HELOC and calling around. We decided to go in a different direction, I let them know and asked them to remove me from their call and email list. Over a month later and I am STILL getting multiple calls daily from them. I have blocked their phone number multiple times and they will call from a new one. I am writing this review as they just called from yet another number. I have emailed them in writing and told someone over the phone to remove me, that I am no longer pursuing a HELOC and they won't stop! The last guy I told over the phone to remove me acted like I was an idiot and surely I could be convinced to take a HELOC. They deserve a 0! Don't waste your time, even if your credit is good, documentation submitted, and your closing date is listed.. they will still decline your loan. They have you submit alot of documentation, call you everyday, change dates, as well as request unnecessary documents to decline you in the end. Save yourself the $500 loan lock in and use your local credit union. Terrible experience. Interest rate is high, took $500 as lock-in fee or as an advance in closing cost according to them but added a lot more in closing costs. I did not continue my application and demanded to reimburse my $500 but they did not reimburse me until today. I feel like I got scammed. Also they were asking for impossible documents from over 5 years history and bank statements that are not produced yet by the bank. When I told her it is not yet out and that I could give her the transaction date of current payment, she raised her voice and said how can she tell if it is not a payment for past due and compared me to those "liars" according to her. After six weeks of submitting all the necessary documents I was declined on the portal with no explanation. What was the point? I over $600 worth of equity with a credit rating of 780. This company is completely full of sh$$! They took my $500 and made me believe I would have no issue getting refinanced and coming out with cash in hand. So I did all the things. Signed the stuff the told me to sign. They sent an appraiser and appraisal came out a little less than previous numbers. However, I also informed them that I was having a new rook installed among other things. They did not care. Then all of the sudden, they changed the numbers on my loan. Payout amount was significantly less than what was first told to me and they were not going to include all my debt. Then they gave me problems about the deed which I had no issue with previously obtaining a mortgage thru loan depot. So I had a new deed drawn up. They told me once I got that, we would speed along the closing. Sam Verriano insisted he wanted to close this loan quickly also. I kept on being told we would close within the week. Then nothing. A week came and went. I tried to contact them and nothing. Finally I received a call back. Kenedra Bennett insisted she had no idea what was taking so long or what the hold up was. Then I heard nothing. This all started in July, mind you. Then about the first week of October, Sam Verriano called me and told me the numbers changed. They were no where near where we started or what they had changed to after the appraisal. Instead now, I would have to bring money to closing. Now they are sending me a bill for the appraisal. I chalked the $500 up to the game, but another $875 for them to make me think they were here to help me?? Then to keep slowly changing the numbers? Then drop the last bomb, probably knowing I would decline. Why would they want that? I'll tell you. Because they make a good $1800 for yanking my chain. This is wrong to do to people and the shadiness of these people to simply drop off the face of the earth then hit you with owe you need to pay money now. I feel taken advantage of and completely disappointed in this company. I will encourage anyone and everyone I know to NOT do any business with these people. Scammers! I am a single mother. I woud like to update my review. After going through the BBB my situation was still not to my satisfaction. They continued to dispute and ignore my concerns. When I posted on this platform Meghan contacted me about my concerns and was able to get my concerns heard. While doing so I received another bill for $750 for the appraisal because they said I backed out. I contacted Meghan and she immediately let me know that was in error and removed said she would get that taken off. The company horrible but keep Meghan. She's the bomb! I never applied for a loan or contacted AmeriSave. However, I received a "denial" letter saying they had run my credit and my loan was being denied due to insufficient information. A loan number was provided in the letter so I went to their website and logged in with my phone number and sure enough I had an account that I never set up. I've never even spoke to anyone there! I never authorized this, and don't need a mortgage. This is VERY shady! Their business practices need to be investigated! read more

I had to pay a $500 fee up front to lock in the interest rate, with the assurance it would be deducted from the first loan payment. Afterward, they denied the loan (essentially flushing that $500 down the toilet) because we used a po box instead of a mailbox. I foolishly believed that bills, tax forms, and the deed to the house showing the address would be enough, but they felt otherwise. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if they had told me about this before burning my money. Oddly enough, the first time I sent over the forms they asked for (which showed a po box) they had no objections. So, I wind up emailing the loan agent about why I can't get a refund, who directs me to someone else, who directs me to the first guy. They give me the runaround, being rude and condescending in their emails and ghosting me for weeks at a time, refusing to answer why the po box concern wasn't raised until after I had given them my money. Amerisave added an extra $ 3730. near the closing of my loan after telling me over and over that no more fees would come . and when that fee came in Kelly Porch denied ever saying that but all conversations are recorded there. you should probably record the conversations your self. when asked to talk to someone above her I was told we will ask if the fees can be removed but pushed me towards either excepting the add on or ending the loan . the lock in fee and the inflated price of appraisal was to be taken out of the loan . I was lied to with a bate and switch type of scam and others should beware they've done this many times in the past . if they record you, then record them. to protect yourself from being lied to read more

My experience with AmeriSave has been deeply frustrating and far from smooth. From the beginning, there were repeated communication delays, and I was asked to re-sign the same documents multiple times on their platform. The notary even forgot to have a required document signed, which triggered additional back-and-forth just to get that corrected. Worse still, AmeriSave sent an incorrect payment amount to Wells Fargo. I raised concerns multiple times, flagging that something seemed off because my Wells Fargo account wasn't reflecting the payoff. Despite my warnings, the issue persisted--leading to a situation where they were asking me to pay $6,000 out-of-pocket for an apparent property tax payment with only a possibility (not a guarantee) of being reimbursed from the escrow account. Ultimately, I was able to get them to cover this fee with the title company. Because of AmeriSave's continued errors, I did not receive the standard one-month payment break typically associated with refinancing--something that should have been a given. This experience has been deeply disappointing and I am left feeling that I made a mistake refinancing my mortgage loan with them. I cannot recommend AmeriSave based on how my loan was handled, and urge you to look into alternatives. read more

They will ask for a 500$ deposit (most places do not do this). They'll over promise and not deliver. You'll go weeks without any communication and they seemingly intentionally call right at the end of their business day on Friday. They'll get the SAME information multiple times and they must be rocking with 1900's technology because if you have 2 separate banks they can not add the amounts together. Then They'll say you have an inadequate debt to income ratio... which would be reasonable if this was mentioned one of the fourth times prior you've given them all info. My income is nearly 3X the amount of the mortgage they were working with and that wasnt sufficient so Im unsure what the expectation is. Save your time and go literally anywhere else. read more

I spoke to a loan officer last week and gave him all my information for a refinance. He was having difficulty getting the income to debt ratio to work and asked if he can call me back in about 10-25 minutes. I was ok with that. Here it is 4 days later and still hasn't called. This place is the most annoying place if you apply for any sort of mortgage or line of credit somehow they get your information even if you don't even apply through them, they call obsessively 10+ times a day somehow even get your work phone number through your job and even calls that nonstop. I've told them to stop calling me multiple times and all they do is just keep calling. I have blocked at least 20 numbers and somehow they still can keep calling from other numbers. My experience with Amerisave was not a pleasant one. I don't even know how they got my information. But they kept calling me so many times I had to have them blocked to prevent future calls. It took a very long time to do that as well. And, it didn't work the first time. I was shopping for mortgage rates so I guess it's my fault for not knowing I was putting my information out there for companies like this to contact me. But, the worst of it was I attempted to work with them but the seemingly have the most unqualified and/or unprofessional people making the initial calls. You know, people who don't have a strong handle on the English language. After that, you get transferred to a 'Concierge' which did seem to be an improvement. But, all I was doing was trying to get information about rates and payments and all they wanted was my life history and all documents. I gave up after waiting several days for someone to reach out to me for the information I was looking for but the Concierge could not give me what I needed. Yet, they wouldn't stop calling and harassing me about information and documents they wanted to give me the information I was requesting. Bunch of morons. I do not recommend working with this company. After the fact, I did some research and found out there's a pending Class Action Law Suit against them. Again, my fault for not researching first. But still, what a terrible company. Zero Stars if I could. And, if you do not believe me, just look at all these other one star reviews, which I'm sure everyone would give them zero stars if possible on this format. read more

About a year ago I inquired about the rates for a Heloc loan. Made no application only provided my contact information that's it. A week latter I received an email requesting information to complete a mortgage application that I did not make. I blocked them after letting them know that another call or email would be forwarded to the FTC and BBB. Two weeks after that until now I have been undated with calls three a day seeking information about a loan I applied for most coming from overseas all robocalls. Today official looking documents addressed to my wife showed a loan number that she was declined. She never applied for a mortgage with Amerisave as we have been in our home for over 15 years both she and I having FICO scores over 845 and they showed her scores in the low hundreds.ridiculous . Amerisave is unsafe . There are no limits to which they will go to garner money from everyone who makes an inquiry if only to sell your information to scammers. And now it appears someone has acquired copies of the paperwork they use to make it truly official looking and if this is really from Amerisave they could not have garnered my wife's Social as it is not on any application which may answer the question why they said not to contact the credit bureau for her report that they didn't report it. AmeriSave literally saved my divorce payout! Yes, there is a $500 lock rate fee, but the amount of interest i saved with their quote over 1% lower rate than any other vendor (bid the loan to multiple lenders) easily outweighed the rate fee. read more

I fell for the 500.00 lock fee to secure a interest rate. I was unaware it was non- refundable. I was told I would get credit for it when I got said loan. Last week Michelle emailed me on the 24th of March to say the loan is in final underwriting and it should be done "this week" (4th or 5th time I've heard that one)I emailed on Friday of last week to ask for an update. No response. I emailed again Monday. No response. I emailed again yesterday. No response. All of these emails were to all 3 of you. All I'm doing is going off of YOUR words and asking for an update based on those words. This is approximately the 15th time that I reached out and have gotten no response back after multiple days. Today I find out after calling Michelle that on the 24th the underwriter put in a note that it needs to be restructured. I didn't get any communication about this at all. And from what Michelle told me, no one took action on it, making this a entire week delay a totally avoidable, a delay upon delay that's already 8 months into this. This shouldn't take longer than a pregnancy. I have no choice now but to call each of you every single day since I have zero trust or faith that anything will be done or any of my messages will be responded to or even read. I also have no choice but to start filing BBB complaints and leaving detailed honest reviews about my experience with your team and you as individuals. Dishonest, slow, and ridiculous. The $500 fee is a shady compulsion to stay with them despite being terrible. I forfeited my $500 to go with someone else. It took 3 days to get an updated pre-approval letter. Thankfully, the seller did not have any apprehensions about us not providing it before they accepted my offer. Then, they were refusing to order the appraisal until I could get them a paystub from 7 months ago despite the fact that I had given them my W-2 (I changed jobs, and the only HR person at the old place was on vacation). I had to go with a different company to get the appraisal done on time, and the new company was fine with just the W-2. It turns out, they could have validated my employment themselves the whole time, but chose not to until after I told them we were finished. I asked if they could open up things to allow me to upload the documents I knew I was going to need and to which I had immediate access, but they refused. Still, they sent me more emails, this time asking for proof that I am going to be employed after I move. Since when was this a thing? I've never been asked for this by anyone else. I'm not sure what world they live in, but they will blow up an appraisal deadline over an old paystub despite loaning me hundreds of thousands of dollars without my ID or bank statements.
