Several repairmen told us, LG is the new star, quality and price. So we went to Blacks Appliance in Yreka, who carries LG and at a price that equals any of the big box stores; and when we factored in the service and fees, there was no comparison. Blacks delivered and installed the washer and dryer, and installed both of them well, for no fee. They also removed the existing units, hauled them off for $35 which is the dump fee. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive, answered all our questions simply, and made several suggestions about additional features and warrantees without being pushy. The person in the appliance section was SO SWEET! when the washer and dryer were delivered our delivery team was the best. They were careful, but fast with our new appliances. They had them installed in under 30 minutes, no scratches or anything! We realized the oven that came with our home had a broken heating coil, so my husband took the part over to home depot. Instead of asking if wed like to finance, she IMMEDIATELY swiped my husbands card. We had to ask her to remove it, so we could discuss financing, and her whole personality swapped the second we brought it up. The guy next to her was VERY nice and understanding but the second we mentioned financing the woman kind of just stared at us. The nice facade disappeared. We were denied financing. She proceeded to try to pressure us to just straight up buy it. We're new home owners trying to make finances stretch... that wasnt happening, not for 2k. So we told her we'd be back another day after running numbers. The man at the desk was super friendly said it wasnt a problem but the woman, kind of just sat there and glared at us. Not a great experience. Not to mention the prices are insane. They had stools by the front door for over $300... we wont be returning. Home depot is cheaper AND has nicer employees.
