My husband and I were incredibly happy with our experience here. We have had pretty bad luck with larger bands. We couldn't find any stoves in stock anywhere or get them delivered to us. I reached out to Black's for inquiries and he had a great variety that checked off all of our preferences. We showed up 30 minutes before they closed, found what we loved within 2 minutes, everything was shockingly very reasonably priced and were out before they closed. I believe we received a suitable discount on our product because the floor model was the last one available and he didn't have the box, but we were totally fine with that. The clerk helped us load it into our trailer and it now sits perfectly in our home. Also, they provide in-home technical services with your purchase. Thank you for the great experience and I look forward to buying our future appliances from this local business. read more

A few weeks back we lost our Kitchen Maid washing machine and after 20 years, the Dryer was tired too. Kitchen Maid was a great brand, no longer in appliances. Several repairmen told us, LG is the new star, quality and price. So we went to Blacks Appliance in Yreka, who carries LG and at a price that equals any of the big box stores; and when we factored in the service and fees, there was no comparison. Blacks delivered and installed the washer and dryer, and installed both of them well, for no fee. They also removed the existing units, hauled them off for $35 which is the dump fee. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive, answered all our questions simply, and made several suggestions about additional features and warrantees without being pushy. All in all, dealing with Blacks Appliance was about as pleasant and productive as you're going to get, and confirms small town living. Matt and Gigi Ryan Mt Shasta read more

We went into Blacks for the first time as our washer broke. Not only were they super friendly and had tons of knowledge about the products they carried when I price checked the washers with the big stores in Medford and Redding Blacks was CHEAPER! We will definitely be going back for any appliance needs! read more

great customer service!! we have bought a stove and a refrigerator there and everything went great and was delivered quickly!

Jayden! I thought they made a mistake but it was on my end. They came to check the very next day and Jayden helped me figure out my problem. Even when it had nothing to do with their installation. I have my hands full and was EXTREMELY thankful he came through. Thank you for your kindness and help! read more

GE referred me for a repair on an error code on my oven. I paid them handsomely to come fix it and it worked for a few days but because I went out of town and called them after 30 days they refused to come back out and even look at it again and warranty their service. I urge everyone to find another service company as they are gouging in prices for labor and parts, and clearly have no ethics in their business. read more

Basically the only reason why this business still exists is because it's the only place in Yreka to buy an appliance. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced, their stock is an absolute joke and their prices are 25% -%50 higher then anywhere else that you could buy appliances from in Medford. We ordered a washer and dryer to be installed at my disabled mother's house totaling nearly $2,000 and the installer left her with a leaky faucet and water on her floor. When I talk to the management he was condescending justifying the installer and said he was as best employee and then hung up on me LOL. That says a lot for their company. Steer clear of this business you'll thank me later. read more

Horrible place to buy anything!!! Bought a piece of crap platform bed that looked good on the floor until they delivered it and the installers damaged our floors that were newly installed. They wouldn't let us return it without a 20% restocking fee, such a joke!!! We will NEVER shop here again! My advice is don't waste your money here they are not about customer service, we give them zero stars! read more

We discovered *after* moving in to our new place that our range had been improperly converted from natural gas to propane, and I'm so grateful to Black's for helping us first diagnose and then replace our faulty oven. They replaced the damaged range with a beautiful new one for an very reasonable price. Service staff at our house were fully masked upon request (which doesn't necessarily matter to everyone, but does matter to us) and they were extremely quick and professional. As someone who loves to cook, having a nonfunctional oven and a barely-functioning stove was a real source of misery and stress for me, and I really appreciate all the patience and help I got from various Black's staff members while I wrangled with our home warranty company to try and get the replacement cost covered. They're clearly extremely busy folks, so I was especially grateful to them for going above and beyond. read more

Worst customer service of any appliance store I have ever used. They insisted we owed money that they had already been paid by the manufacturer. When they discovered the mistake .. no apology. Travis is a horror of a person. Workman who fixed our brand new washing machine were polite. read more

Just had a washer and dryer installed. Very knowledgable and friendly. Best customer service.

I bought a recliner here that was defective. I returned it after having it for less than a month as it was so bent up it would not close I asked for a refund and was told by the owner he would have to wait until the representative reviewed it. Months went by and when I inquired was told that because he Hadi heard from me he disposed of it . I had not received any communication from him. He tossed it and I had neither the refund or the recliner. read more

Do not purchase from them... Blacks Appliances in Yreka CA, next to Walmart, sold me a used product that had documented warranty claims from 6 months prior. I believed I was purchasing a new dishwasher from the showroom floor, as I stood there pointing at the one I liked, but after multiple problems, such as a damaged front, missing hoses, no warranty book... I called Maytag Corporate and learned that I actually purchased, at retail price, a used item that had been sold to someone else, had a problem, was sent back to Blacks, and then after repairing the claimed/warranty item, they sold it to me as NEW. Fn bastards... They spin'd a tail explaining that the reason the item was not in the original box was because they didn't trust Maytag and that all of the items received from them were most likely damaged, and therefore they were doing their best to protect me. Wow, these guys are bold on their lies. What they didn't take into account as they lied to me, was that at the same time, I also purchased a very expensive Maytag broiler/oven built in range. - I think that's what it's called... Regardless, it came completely boxed up, totally factory, yet they didn't feel obligated to open that box and verify everything was okay, being a Maytag product as well... The bottom line, is that these people will burn any customer to ensure that they make profit. Even if it's someone who already spent thousands with them prior to ending that particular relationship. Do yourselves a favor and save the stress. There are way better appliance stores if you are willing to look. Thanks again Blacks, Chuck read more

Never actually been in the store. Have done all my business over the phone and via internet with no problems. Responsive organization with good folks. read more

If you have a product fail ( furniture) they make you feel like somehow it's your fault. A recliner not even 2 months old and the release mechanism breaks. How is that my fault?. It's under warranty and they have to fix it, but guaranteed I will never shop here again. read more

An alleged rebuilt stove was delivered by Blacks to our home this week...the stove was filthy with grease, dried on food, and the inside oven so dirty it would have taken a forest fire to clean it. Besides being in an unusable condition, the burners were worn thru to the point of being dangerous to short circuit and ignite. Inside the oven was roaches and mice/rat droppings...which can cause fatal Leptospirosis. I wouldn't even give Blacks Appliance one star if I did not have to, to write this review. read more

What an awesome place and customers service was outstanding!! Above and beyond by far!! I purchased 2 TV's and they came out to install them within 2 days at my business. 2 installers showed up and a few minutes later the owner Richard showed up to help with the installation. I was unsure where I wanted them. While Richard the owner was there he over heard my conversation and frustration trying to find a new water heater that went out the evening before. Well long story short, Richard got on the phone and located me a new water heater that was in Redding. Richard also offered to go with me at 5am to pick up the new water heater and also let me use one of his trucks. I was up and running the next day. I could have lost a lot of business as business could not open with out hot water. These guys Rock!!I will Continue doing business with them and refereeing people-Love to support locally owned small businesses. read more

I started to look at my mother's clothes washing machine because the spin cycle was not working. I unhooked the water supplies and drain and decided it should be fixed by a professional and so my mother called Black's Appliances to fix it. The repairman, Travis, supposedly fixed the problem and left my mother with the washing machine not hooked up. When my mother asked why they didn't hook it up they said they are only responsible to fix what was wrong and not to hook it up and refused to come back and help her. I am now traveling or else I could help my mother. Is this what you call poor customer service? Leaving an elderly woman with her washing machine not hooked up and only supposedly fixed since she can't use it, I think so. read more
