Called 2 days ago about another tank re-fill. Specifically asked what the charges would be and any extra fees or delivery fee. Was expressly told "just gas and tax" "no delivery charge". Invoice left for me shows FUEL RECOVERY FEE, HAZMAT FEE, and DELIVERY FEE (see image). THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WAS JUST TOLD ON THE PHONE! Called to give them a chance to resolve. Girl who answered the phone sounded half asleep. No resolution or even a call back after being transferred and leaving a message for whoever I was transferred to. Emailed them explaining the issue, again trying to resolve, but again received no response. I see also "Business Owner" is posting right here on yelp saying they do not charge those fees. Clearly this is not true at all. Owner post on Yelp: "we charge no additional fees", "charge...taxes...and cost of propane" My bill: 3 additional fees Ideal Gas just expressly stated they do not charge (See my images showing both.) On the Idealgas invoice is a "Refer a friend" offer for $50. Who would refer someone to a business that behaves this way? Dishonestly and outright lies to customers by a business is not acceptable behavior.....Ever. Very Disappointing from a company I thought was honest and reputable.

Buddy Dingman gave me some good advice about a year ago even without me being a customer. He treated me kindly then and so when it came time to switch companies, IDEAL was my first choice. I look forward to saving money with them but I am already enjoying the benefit of feeling like I am dealing with good people. My hat's off to the owner for his approach to business.

They carefully dug the very long 14" deep trench to the generator and installed the necessary piping. They were careful with the sod, removed it carefully and replaced it nicely., Courteous workers, excellent self propelled equipment, and they hauled off the extra soil that' was displaced by the tank. We ran out of gas completely and called for an emergency delivery. they gave us a 2 day window for delivery but delivered same day. we received an email that gas was delivered and a bill for $1500. They failed to communicate with us that they found a faulty regulator that was leaking gas and so they placed a lock on our tank. They also failed to tell us there was a lock AND failed to turn the gas all the way off. This culminated in the belief that we had an issue with our hot water heater, as the pilot light would light but not stay lit. we had 2 different plumbing companies come out and both thought this issue was with the hot water heater, as they could see SOME gas was coming through. Long story short, we ended up replacing a perfectly good hot water heater to the tune of $1000 in labor (luckily it was still under warranty). it was only after replacing this and SIX days of cold showers that we discovered the gas was the issue. we flagged down a tech that happened to be in our neighborhood and he looked at it and found the lock and faulty regulator, which he then repaired and restored our gas. For this we received an extra bill for $400. He wrote the whole thing up and HE recommended the company comp our whole delivery. since then we have called many times and been promised a reply in "3 days" each time. still no response 2 months later. This company is criminal!!!!!

A buddy of mine recommended me to go to Courtesy Gas, which is a bit distance from the marina. Steve (the owner) was super knowledgeable and very friendly. He diagnosed the problem right away and offered to replace the nozzle, fill up the tank, and deliver it to the marina in couple of hours. He also did not charge us extra for the delivery. We were super happy with this service and his help. I would recommend courtesy gas to everyone. If you are a boater and don't have the means to get to their shop, I would call them. Who knows, they may come and pick it up the same they delivered your's to the marina.

He checked his schedule and booked an appointment for me to have a guy come to the house for a site inspection the next week. The site inspector showed up right as scheduled and looked my situation over. He advised me what I needed for my application, and answered all questions I had. He sent his findings to the office and within two days I received a detailed estimate via email. I was ok with the estimate and called the office with the go ahead. I had one thought on the type of tanks I wanted, but after discussions with the D&D folks, I went with their recommendation and have not been sorry. A few years after the generator installation, I installed a pool and had D&D provide a hook up to the tanks for the pool heater. Because of the pool install I had to have them disconnect and reconnect to propane supply lines. Their installation & maintenance team is very competent, and the office has been very pleasant to work with by answering all my questions.
