Worse gas supplier in the country! Delivered gas and then disconnected my service claiming no one home, which there was. Left the notice in the underground box and not on the door like it says. Then they charge for reconnection, what a racket! Can't contact them because they use a South Africa answering service for the local number. Don't deal with this HORRIBLE, DREADFUL sinking once good company. Worst customer NO service on the planet. No one to contact at local office. Call center gives babbling script reads and never get answers from anyone. Call center foreigners don't speak the English I speak. 2 days I have taken off from work for appointments and they never show up for service, no phone call to let me know they are not coming or will be late. My last appointment setup from man at corporate office. On phone all day with many call center people and supervisors trying to get answers if they will show up or not. Who can take off from work for the hell of it and not have someone show? Only way to get someone in US is call the emergency gas leak line. I don't understand how you can run a company like this and stay in business. I guess they are so big they can lose customers and its ok with them. If a zero were available it would be a zero. After 19 years in using this company for our Osteen, FL home I have waited 30 days for a delivery or a phone call. This company shut down all their admin offices and moved the customer service and delivery scheduling to Manila. I could write a short novel but will Amerigas isn't worth additional wasted time. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. first we paid $80 to get a "safety Inspection" done before they would deliver any propane. for the last week and a half I have been trying to get a technician out to determine if there is a working designated propane line to allow installation of a gas stove. There appears to be but we can't order a new range until we confirm it. so an appointment was set up for yesterday between 12-4 For a technician to evaluate. no one ever showed up i called numerous times and you can only call their 800 #. The local office number takes you to the 800# which takes you to a person in god knows what state! Their customer service sucks. Took me a week to get this appt. and they want to give me another appt. in mid July! Worst company I have ever dealt with! read more

This company is the company from hell. They are billing for deliveries they never made. Let alone for amounts of propane that won't even fit in the tank. I have called at least 5 times. Each time the person I talk to claims they will "Investigate" and get back to us saying it will take two or three weeks to resolve. I never hear from them again. However, I continue to get overdue notices for gas I never receive. Legal actions appear to be the only way to resolution. read more

I called almost a month ago to ask about residential service in Flagler Beach. I was told that the ticket would be transferred to their engineers and to expect a phone call back. Crickets! Absolutely nothing so I called again today only to have the operator tell me she could try to 'reopen' the ticket. Why bother to offer services if you don't want to provide them. Worst customer service ever, call center in India for Amerigas, really!!!! They barely speak english, went to our local office, they do not accept customers even though I could see a guy sitting in the office, rang the bell and knocked he knew i was there never even looked up. they were supposed to deliver my gas on Wednesday then i got a text message stating delivery would be on Thursday, so Wednesday I was running errands and got a text stating my delivery was cancelled because no one was at the house, called again was on phone/hold most of the time for 27 minutes to rescheldule, worst customer service ever.!!!!!!! read more

The absolute worst customer service of any utility vendor I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. We have been waiting for over a month for a tank refill, and after nearly daily calls, we are told the gas will be delivered tomorrow. The result is - no gas is delivered, and I have to go through the process over and over again. You cannot talk to anyone at Amerigas except their customer service advocates that are all polite but nothing more than mere robots asking the same questions and giving the same answers with no results. Lots of apologies - numerous times - but still I am waiting for gas with a small 250 gallon tank at less than 15% full. Amerigas in GA was a wonderful experience, but the district run out of Holly Hill should be shut down! read more

I called today and said I needed to get on autopay yet again (i should already be on it) and the woman (very polite) said I was already on auto pay. Yet my assistant called in today to pay my bill earlier and they took payment so obviously I am not. I patched both of them in together to figure this out, as this is not the FIRST time by any means I've had problems. They said maybe the credit card # was off and that is why it's not going through. So we had to give it to them again. They did apologize for all the problems we've had which include them telling me I had two different size tanks and no one could figure out what size tank I did have etc. Each time they were nice about it, but still. They also questions why, when I got a form, i wrote one star. Well today she said they got new workers in there and it would get better. The problem is I see two years ago people were saying they got a new manager who would help. I'm feeling let down and hope they remedy this situation. Now after ALL we have gone through they said we could sign up online to see what is going on with our bill and never mentioned that before this. I'm still confused if the bill we got is really a bill or just a statement what is supposed to be due. There is just so much confusion from gas tanks, to size of tank which they told me 2 diff sizes, to the news tank I got to billing. It's crazy. We had our tank filled on Thursday 1/20/2022. We smelled gas pretty strong after they left. We called amerigas to inform them and they demanded we leave the house right away and they would get someone out. We left the house as instructed, and a technician came by and rang the doorbell (ring) and they didn't reach us so they disconnected our gas. We called Amerigas and they indicated it was a normal smell and nothing was wrong with the tank. My question is if that was the case, why did they disconnect us? They were suppose to come back the following day to reconnect it. We called again, and they said they didn't have info on them needing to reconnect it and now it wouldn't get taken care of until Monday. Well today is Tuesday and we still don't have our propane connected. This is terrible service. They told us they disconnected it because we weren't here, but they told us to leave the house, so we took our dog and left as instructed. I've been on hold forever, and trying to get it reconnected. I'd like to look for another company but have full tank of gas? Monday, they didn't even show that we had a request to get them back to reconnect it. Unbelievable! SMH read more

Worse customer service in any industry within Ormond Beach. They have changed management teams 3 times in eight years. I have a rental tank and they never bothered to send an invoice for two years. We had an emergency repair and upon completion, I asked how much I owed, in order to write a check. The repair technician used a calculator to figure the charges, which I immediately paid. Three weeks later, I received an invoice for ONE CENT, in the mail. My wife and I immediately drove to their office with a shiny new penny, and requested a written receipt. Another propane dealer was offering rental tanks for 60% of Americans. I called and told them to remove their tank, in that I had a better deal. Amerigas finally agreed to meet the lower price, to prevent incurring the removal costs. read more

I'm not quite sure how the local branch of this runs but every time I try to reach someone in the local branch, I just keep getting sent into another hell loop! They refuse to give you the local branch's extension number as if they are the FBI. I am a building contractor and have been just trying to schedule an install for a propane tank for new construction...should not be this difficult especially since the Homeowner has already set up an account and all. I'm not sure what's going on in this business but they are the absolutely worst customer service I've ever received. Not speaking locally but whomever is in charge of "the vault". Spent more than 2 1/2 hours on this. Still have gotten nowhere. If I would have known this, we would have gone with a different company. Amerigas is the worst company ever! I paid over $1000 in advance for them to install a tank, pipe and connect my gas stove. One month later, still not connected. I expected much more from a company as large as this. They rarely return phone calls and when you do talk with them, they claim everything is on track to finish soon. read more

I contracted with Amerigas the first week in June and was told by the salesman (Ty) that the ETA was about 4 weeks. The installation actually started August 30. To date it is not complete. All of the staff are very polite, while not necessarily helpful. My Electrican was unable to install the battery because Ty ordered the wrong size. I contacted Amerigas expecting some follow-up. Instead Ty informed me that the battery could not be returned to Generac. (How does that become my problem). I contacted Generac who concurred with the Electrican. I gave this information to Ty who suggested I might get one from Walmart or return the incorrect battery to his office and pick up the new one and thus install it myself. I told him this was unacceptable. I paid them for the installation and someone should deliver, install, pickup the wrong battery and show me how this generator works. I should add that the final payment was deducted from my credit card before the job was complete, without giving me any notification that the charge was going to occur. Additionally, I received a bill in the mail a few days later with a balance due instead of paid in full. I was told that I'm on a schedule for a technician to pay me a service call. If the pass inaction of this company holds true I will start calling daily to see if I'm really on a schedule, while I pray that the hurricanes presently threatening don't get to my house before the technician. read more
