This is the absolute worst company my husband and I have ever dealt with!!! We called because we had a gas leak. They came about 1 hour later with any parts or equipment to repair the leak. We were told they would be back the next day. No one showed! My husband had a hose made and we called and let them know it was repaired and needed to be unlocked so we could have heat. Approximately 13 calls we made to them and we were told "be there tomorrow ". 7 days later still no heat. We called another company on the 8th day a they came within a few hours, installed a new tank and we had heat. We called Amerigas and told them to pick up their tank and end our service. They now want $430 for early cancellation. Mind you we have been a customer for 12 years, pay early And we are 66 & 76 years old!!! read more

A very unreliable business. Been trying to work with them on propane delivery. Two months later still no propane with several appointments. They no showed 5 times! No phone calls or updates. They're call center has no idea what they're scheduling. Don't waste your time and $ like I did. Early on they came 2times. Both times to look at set up. Both times it took them not even two minutes to look at what they needed to and that cost me $238 for them to peek at pipes. Months of wasted time and $$$. read more

Called in an emergency fill up because they missed their fill up appointment and I ran out of propane: it's been two days and they still have yet to fill up. The worst customer service. Everytime I try to call the office it routes me to a call center that has no idea what's going on. I was told threee times today someone would be here to fill me up as I am without heat now. What a nightmare!!! I ordered my usual 100 gallon minimum delivery, and AmeriGas delivered me 287 gallons instead. Phoned them several times to resolve this problem that was not my fault, and each time was an hour total with being on hold or more. They kept telling me to wait for a "rebill" that didn't come until 3 months later, and after at least 12 phone calls. Also came with late fees, and was sent to a collections department. Unbelievable how this business can even still be up and running. Horrible management, and customer service does not know how to resolve anything. They just keep transferring you to the next agent. I found a great new gas company. Campora Gas in Stockton. They help you right away. No issues. Very nice, and professional service. The way a successful company should run. read more

I am really frustrated with Amerigas.  I am selling my clients home which has a propane tank serviced by them.  We requested a safety inspection which took almost 3 weeks to get scheduled!  I had to follow up no less than 5 times, got repeated unreturned phone calls, and to top it off when we finally got the inspection scheduled they demanded I be at the property.  The reasoning, it is the policy.  Are we not in a COVID impacted world?  Why would I need to be at a vacant home when I have a combination lockbox there for access?   I have spoken to many of their employees, and while they have all been nice enough, the results have been downright pitiful.  I honestly do not understand how Amerigas remains in business with the practices I have been exposed to. read more

DONT EVER EVER RELY on AMERIGAS to delivery propane. We called in an emergency to have propane delivered as they let our tank run dry despite being on auto fill contract with them for years. this is the second time they have left us dry and freezing in single digit temps in Tahoe area with no hot water, no ability to cook and a freezing house. They are a risk to health and safety. PLEASE DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THEM. We filed complaints with the better business bureau and this company is negligent and total fraud. We are firing them and going with a new propane company. The CEO name is Paul Ladner btw- operating out of Ohio with some random "customer service" line that is a human who does not and cannot help you if you need help. They suck read more

The absolute Worst. Hand written on the top of agreement: "$200.00 deposit required" This would of been a metered account. The meeter was already attached to the property when I purchased the home. I called corporate, they do not require a deposit on a metered account. This is something the local office decided. I do not just hand over $200.00 to a company to make them feel better... We used Amerigas for our propane delivery for 5 years. We never missed a payment or asked them for anything. They wait until your tank is nearly empty then refill it to the tune of over 700 dollars. They never scheduled their service just showed up and filled it. Then demanded full payment with in 10 days. We would only need refills every few months during the cold times and never during the summer. As you can imagine this was hard on a working family living paycheck to paycheck. A monthly payment option would be much more money. Now we switched over to electric heat with a kick but solar panel system. We told them in Nov 2017 to come get the tank off our property. Now's it's July 2018 and it's still here. Every time we call yo inquire we get an answer of we will be out this week. Oh and the $500 worth of propane in The tank, we get to eat that cost. They don't refund anything on it. Anyone have a way to transfer the L.P. out of this tank? read more

Horrible service. I called on a Tuesday (after waiting over an hour on hold) to have my tank refilled, the person said someone will be out Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday afternoon comes around, no one came yet, so I called to check the status (again waited over an hour) then they said they had to transfer me to the escalation department. The escalation department said someone is scheduled to be out on Monday! I said why did the 1st person tell me Wednesday or Thursday? If I wanted someone out earlier it would cost $200! So I have no choice but to wait until Monday, I tell the person that the gate will be open for them since my mom is elderly and it's hard for her to go outside quickly. Well my mother fell and went to the ER and when she got back home on Friday, no one showed up! The gate was open! So here it is Friday at 4pm, I call them and was on hold u til 510pm, the hold music just shuts off! I work in customer service and before stop answering calls they should take care of their customers that have already been on hold! Their website doesn't say their business hours, so I'm hoping they are open on Saturday for me to be on hold for another 1+ hours read more

Not necessarily from concord location but America's has the WORST customer service I have ever seen. I scheduled a delivery on November 12 and paid $400 upfront. Delivery estimated dates were November 13 through November 23. No delivery so on November 24 I called and waited an hour and a half online only to be told that my delivery hadn't been sent to the courier. She said don't worry I'll send it over you'll get your gas by Thanksgiving. No delivery since then and today is November 30. I just spent three hours on hold with two different calls at 92 minutes each only to be hung up on each time.I've sent emails to which the only response I got was an automated response. No response from any person. So now I am 18 days out from original order. We are out of gas which I told them both times I spoke to a human after being on hold forever. I would love to cancel my order and get a refund however I'm pretty sure I could never get through to anybody to get the refund. They have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately I don't have any other option than AmeriGas. As other people said I wouldn't give them one star except that I couldn't write a review with zero stars. Good luck to whoever else has to deal with AmeriGas they are terrible to deal with. read more

I give them no stars one star is too much for their shady service. Twice now we pay before they deliver and they promise us a time frame and do not deliver we have run out of propane twice now . Our old service used to check up on us as we forget to check the level. We were promised a delivery this week we paid on Tuesday here it is Friday we are almost out of propane AGAIN and no sign of them. I am a new owner in Pine Mountain Club and I was using my gas until they came and locked it without any notice and my 1 year old kid had to take a shower with cold water for a week, because they wouldn't come to unlock it. This is the worst company EVER!! Started off with me trying to set up an account, emailed them thought I was good to go. Months later I find out it was never set up and they told me there was no record of me talking to anyone. I proceeded to send them my email application and correspondence with their representative. Fast forward about a year and half. I filled my tank in November 2020. In April I had an awful smell in the house (propane leak). Service guy comes out and says my tank is leaking and I have no propane left. They fix/replace all the valves and refill the tank. I asked for a credit because there is no way I used all the propane in the tank in 5 months and since their equipment failed I should be entitled to a credit/refund. They proceed to tell me my tank wasn't leaking, it was just empty. Interesting, then why did the tech say it was leaking and use the emergency shut off AND replace all the valves the next day?!?! So I cancelled my account with this company. Now today I call 2 times to see what the refund will be for my tank rental as I paid it 2 months before I canceled my account. I have been disconnected both times I called. I'm sure I will never see a dime back from this God awful company. I highly discourage anyone from using this company! read more
