This organization absolutely deserves a "0" when it comes to Customer Service. I stayed on my computer and phone for 1 hour and 2 minutes in order to "cancel" our account due to moving and sale of a Condo. I called three times on the 800 numbers you can get and not one time does a human answer the phone. After the computer prompts you for information you get put on hold with miserable music and no one ever answers the phone line. I finally reached something or someone, a/k/a "Customer Experience Advocate", who via "Chat" told me that they had closed the account for me, yet they never sent me the confirmation via email as requested. Never did speak to any live humans. Unbelievable that a company could allow this type of poor customer service. Competitors should find it real easy to take their market share! read more

This is absolutely the worse propane provider. we own a small business and was on autofill and auto pay for some reason they took us off and did not notify us and we ran out of gas, they couldn't give us a ETA on a delivery nor would they take responsibility for their actions. we trusted them and they dropped the ball all the way around. There customer service is so bad I called and spoke to a supervisor in the resolution department and she hung up on me. Still with no answers, they left us sitting at our business for 12 hours just waiting on A delivery and all they can say is I apologize. It's a joke! They don't even deserve one star if I could put -5 stars I would read more

I wish I could rank Amerigas zero stars as they don't deserve one star. Avoid this company if you want dependable and timely delivery of propane. On my most recent attempt to get a fill up, they scheduled two different delivery dates and missed both. They did not reschedule after either missed date, I had to call to reschedule. The "customer service advocates" (NOT local) seemed unable to do anything except read what I could view online myself. I called attempting to get delivery rescheduled, and ultimately I spoke with a supervisor. They blamed icy roads for failing to deliver, which is absolutely false as icing only occurred AFTER both missed scheduled delivery dates. They then changed the delivery to urgent status, assuring me that I'd get a text when delivery was rescheduled. No texts were received. After at least 10 calls, and after 18 days, they finally delivered (still with no text received). I've had three deliveries from Amerigas over two years and had similar experiences with each delivery. I will NEVER use them again, even if their prices are lower than the competition. I've found a local company where the phone is answered by someone there in the building. I'll be using them going forward. No matter how cheap their propane, the low price at Amerigas is of zero value if I have to wait weeks for delivery and worry all the while about running out of propane for heat and emergency generator. If dependable and timely delivery is of no concern, you can go for it, but do so with eyes wide open. read more

Terrible company! Notified them when my tank was at 31% for a delivery, they scheduled a delivery then cancelled and rescheduled 4 times til I finally ran out! Scheduled urgent delivery and they never showed up! Only people i could talk to were overseas (imagine that) and they never helped. i will never use this company again. read more

If I could give Amerigas zero stars, I would. We contracted with Heritage Propane and we were very happy with their service. Then, Amerigas happened. Their customer service is lousy and located off shore. Finally cancelled the service and asked to have the tanks removed. They couldn't give me an appointment or tell me when this would happen. They were picked up WITH gas still remaining in the tanks. Needed a refund. Still hasn't happened even though I have been told several times it would be 7-10 days. Reported them to BBB and got contacted by Amerigas and told the refund would take 7-10 days. Still waiting. Use absolutely anyone for your propane service besides Amerigas. read more

Make sure to check your tank and take photos before and after delivery. They will charge you for gas they didn't fill otherwise. Pretty dishonest company and impossible to reach any one in the United States for customer service. read more

Horrible. company wide communication problem. Call center overseas with no connection to local providers. Switching to Blossman immediately. we've been without gas for 5 days. No oven, no hot water. Pitiful! read more

If i could give less stars i would. This is the sorriest outfit I have ever seen. I switched to Blossmans gas. Today is 2-1-24. Called 3 weeks ago asking for gas at my dads residence and they wouldn't/couldn't bring any unless the owner of the place, (my dad) called and verified it. Then when you do reach someone, they barely speak any English. Dont go with this bunch!!! read more

on automatic delivery, gas tank is low need delivery as it is supposed to freeze tonight. Sent email last week no response, have been on hold for 30 min. New website has no place to request delivery if on auto delivery. TERRIBLE service read more

This is a sorry excuse for gas company. Paid an extra $300 for emergency 24 hr service they took the money out of my account and it's been 4 days now and still no gas. They know we take care of 2 elderly parents and still no hot water. read more

Would give a 0 rating if it were available. Terrible Customer Service. Very high rental fees if you do not use an a very high percentage of gas each year, should be the other way around. read more

No propane! Ordered for weeks. nothing. Promised delivery date is a joke. It's bad enough dealing with covid but now with no fuel, our business is dead in the water. read more

Been with Amerigas for 15 years. But been having nothing but troubles from them for a couple years or so now. Don't even know why they make delivery dates because they're never right. My propane tank that I pay rent on is a big joke it's from like 1960 and you can't even close the lid on it covering the gauge and if it wasn't for a tree it's fell up against it would be rolling down the mountainside and they won't replace it. Not only that D&S propane prices are much lower than them I'm I'm talking like $0.90 a gallon different and I'll be switching over to them real shortly before winter gets here because last winter I was basically out and my brother had to come and hookup a 100lb tank to get me thru until they decided to finally come. Then the last delivery I scheduled the guy came and then just left he said the tanks were full and he wasn't even checking the correct big main tank now I'm having to reschedule another delivery just because their stupid driver didn't know how to do his darn job. Last December I put in for a delivery and they left 15 gallons in some tank still don't know what one but definitely not our huge tank for the home heating. So here it was winter and was down to like 10% in tank. Had to wait for them to come back again. I don't know what happened to this company but they need to get their stupid crap together or D&S Propane will be getting all their business including mine. read more
