The guy on the phone was not at all friendly and somewhat dismissive, but yes, they have it. We drive the 20 miles in a rush before they close. The same guy at the paint counter (older, acts like we are bothering him) say they don't have that particular paint. He didn't listen to me well enough on the phone!! Now everything else is closed and we are SOL. Maybe if someone calls, instead of acting like they are stupid, you listen to the details of what they actually need????

Needed a 3/8" PIPE tap. I'm 50 miles away, but I have a friend driving through Brainerd this…read moreafternoon on their way here. They agree to stop and pick up the tap. I text her what I needed, capitalizing the word PIPE so there's no mistake. When she shows the text to the kid working there, he asks a lot of questions about the length of pipe she wants. She calls me and puts the kid on the phone. I explain I need a 3/8-inch PIPE tap. He seems to understand, but when my friend got to my place, again FIFTY miles away, it was a standard 3/8-16 tap for a bolt, not a PIPE. Big difference! I suspect that this store hires kids to fill shoes at minimum wage, and they don't need to know anything about hardware, just have a nice smile. I'd return it, but I'm not about to drive a hundred miles round-trip for an eight-dollar tap. I'll order one from Amazon, and wait a couple of days. This place isn't worth the hassle and grief to deal with the incompetence. Even Home Depot does a better job. BTW, the new ACE Hardware in McGregor is ON THEIR GAME! Unlike this place, those guys KNOW the hardware business! Pop

They set you up with consultant and network you with a group of workers so the whole job is done at a fair price and Home Depot backs you up! not a sketchy contractor that can hop town when the job gets dirty! The first week of April, we ordered composite decking to replace our old deck boards. The product…read morecolor was Forest Brown made by Fiberon. The order was delivered two weeks later. The entire bundle was the wrong color, even though the wrapping said Forest Brown. I called the guy we worked with at Home Depot and sent him the picture of what we received. He agreed it was wrong and handled getting it returned to the store. Apparently before the product would be returned, a Fiberon Representative needed to come out and see the problem. One week later, he showed up. Saw the color was wrong (told us incorrectly the product had been discontinued 7 years ago) One more week later the boards and hardware were finally picked up and returned to the Baxter Home Depot. The total we had paid them for this product was 3,279.49. We received a partial refund two weeks later for 1,712.33. We called the store a number of times, at some point we were told they held off a total refund because they thought we were going to reorder. This is late May. We already lost our contractor due to this long delay. We were told we would not receive a full refund until Home Depot was refunded the money from Fiberon. There was no way we were going to pay another large amount of money to order another product from them, then pay interest on a credit card on a refund we should have gotten since they had picked up the product. We decided to just go ahead and finish the old deck since now its full outdoor season and we needed to get things ready and enjoy our space. after several weeks and no additional refund we finally talked to the store manager. They seemed concerned about how this had been handled. Ha guess they thought a refund of 443 should placate us. Today, June 16, the supervisor from Home Depot left a message that the final payment was paid. That was for a whopping 351.00. We have a problem here. They still owe us , 1,223.00!!!!!! We will never ever step foot into another Home Depot store again. What kind of rinky dink kind of place would have such terrible customer service. No apology, no action no nothing except to drag getting us refunded for this long.
