AVOID THE HWY 371 BRAINERD LOCATION!!! I started out as a customer with the previous company....Lake Region Storage.... before US Storage bought them out. Lake Region was a professional, affordable, good storage facility. Then the greedy, incompetent liars of US Storage took over. First, they tell us about the change of management and assure us there will be no change in rental prices. Literally, days later....we are informed rental prices will go up! They promised all kinds of improvements to the facility....that never happened. But here's the kicker.....US Storage raises rental prices every 6 months! What company in America does that?!! Look at their website....not only are their prices RIDICULOUSLY HIGH....but they actually charge more money for smaller units! What retard charges more money for smaller space? They constantly nickel and dime you with insurance and other fees. I talked to the Regional Mngr who claimed he uses an algorithm to decide if prices will go up or not. He told me maybe my price won't go up every 6 mos.....that was a lie. I've endured 4 cycles of my price going up each time. He claimed he needed the money for improvements and higher costs which was BS. A company raising prices 4 times in 2 years is just blatantly greedy! So, I had had enough of this shitty company and left! Oh, but the horror-story doesn't end there! I give my new address to the office receptionist for my deposit check to be sent to. She never put the address in the computer and their acct. dept sends the check to the wrong address! So we get the right address to the acct. dept and they're too stupid to write down my address correctly and the check doesn't get to me again! Still waiting for the deposit check now....the 3rd time! If it doesn't arrive again, I'll be taking these worthless assholes to arbitration! Avoid US Storage and the 371 Brainerd location AT ALL COSTS!!! Always remember....anytime a company you pay a bill to gets bought out, your bill will go up.....guaranteed!! I've seen this with US Storage, Directv and countless others. These greedy a-hole companies make the customer pay for the buy-out with the bill-increases. Congress should put a stop to that! read more
