Be sure to arrive during the week after morning and before noon. That will ensure you have little-to-no wait times. For your information: When you use Google to search for the Georgia DDS (Department of Drivers Services), be aware that many options that show in the results are kiosks at Kroger. These are only useful if you are already a resident and simply need to renew your car tag. For those transferring an out-of-state ID or car registration/title, you need to go to the DDS, not the kiosks.

A total loser. The officer on duty patiently explained to me that this was a civil matter and I should hire a lawyer or take it up with Kickstarter and Indiegogo. They couldn't have been more polite and informative. It wasn't just me, either. There was this old guy in line in front of me complaining loudly that his business partner stole a bunch of the equipment from their store. The officer tried to explain: "Where one co-owner takes property from another co-owner, can the taker be charged with larceny? The answer is unequivocally, NO. This is a long-standing common law rule and law that has been established over time through the case law." The old guy wasn't having any of it and claimed to be a lawyer. Some lawyer! I think this cop knew more about the law than this guy. I think they relented and let him fill out a report just so they could take care of me and the other people in line. Awesome service! Will definitely come back again!
