My husband I arrived home on the evening of 8-26 around 8pm and immediately noticed our home was unusually warm. I checked the thermostat and realized the unit was off-line. The error message read there was no power to the unit. We called several companies that advertise they are 24 hours and not one of the could or would provide emergency service. We have a 17 month old daughter who was quite hot and fussy, so you can imagine our urgency to get our AC working asap. As we continued to search for a technician my husband came across Americool. Mr. Johnny immediately answered. My husband explained what was going on and Mr. Johnny asked several questions in an effort to provide a few reasons as to why there was no power to the unit. I have worked with 4 different AC companies in the 9 years since I bought my house. I finally found Johnny F @ Americool. Out of all the companies I have worked with he had the BEST customer service, was willing to come out early mornings and evenings and worked with me patching my system until this year I was able to replace my system. He gave me the best quote by far and 3 weeks after installation he followed up with a free in home visit to check on the system. Woke up on Tuesday Morning Jan 7, 2014 in a house that was 51 degrees. Found Mr. Figueroa's company on Yelp and called him shortly after 8:00. He returned the call in less than 15 minutes and we scheduled a time for him to come that day. He called an hour before the appointed time to tell me he was running behind, which was understandable since it was 6 degrees outside! He showed up when he said he would after the second call and quickly pinpointed the problem and fixed it. He explained a lot of things to me that I didn't know which I appreciated so much and got everything furnace-wise up and running. The upstairs AC was not cooling as it should have and called AMCOOL that evening. This was a Sunday and I left a message. Johnny called back within the hour and offered to come out that evening. I told him that the AC would be fine until the morning and he was out first thing Monday morning. Johnny showed up at 8AM the next morning and saw that the freon level was low in the two units. Kudos once again to Johnny at AmeriCool! I discovered an issue with a M-4 water tank, which Johnny installed at my house a year ago. Johnny promptly responded and, as it turned out, the problem was not with the water tank but with a hose that had become dislodged from the tank.
