Dogwood Canyon Nature Park - Little church that you can rent out for weddings

Dogwood Canyon Nature Park

There is guided or self-guided fishing and guided tours via tram or self-guided tours via bike or walking. There is a restaurant on site in the mill building. There is wildlife along the way and there are herds of Bison and elk as well as some Texas longhorn cattle. The park straddles the Missouri - Arkansas boarder. It is well worth the time you spend there.

Feeling a bit hesitant at first to do it on bike but it was the best feeling. It was a perfect 68, clear skies and lilac blooms along the way. The perfection was almost overwhelming. A tram is also available for a round trip adventure but the bike was just too fun to pass up. Along the way we saw all kinds of little critters, snakes, fish and birds. Stopped at the tree house, chapel and most of the waterfalls. On bike with all the stops about 2 hours, walking could easily be 3+. Bikes are $15 each and I highly recommend getting there early so you have your pick cause the good ones go fast. Some have baskets and you should get one of those and then fill it with a picnic lunch. Little under $20 per person for entry, with discounts for veterans, seniors and children. Large parking but the place is popular, so again if possible arrive early.

Sycamore Creek Family Ranch - Sweet hubby at the Bluebonnet.

We stayed in the Glamping Covered Wagons with four of our grandchildren during the Fall Roundup…read more The stay certainly exceeded our expectations! The wagons were very well designed and the kids loved it. Sycamore Creek thought of so many great details - s'more makings, firewood for the fire pit, popcorn and even games. The farm animals were a big hit as well. The Gathering Place was great for pickle ball and they had plenty of other games too. Everything was very clean, well kept with attention to details! The staff were all very helpful. The grandkids were already asking when they could come again before we even left, lol. I definitely recommend the Fall Roundup as well. The kids were 3-10 years old and had a real enjoyable time.

I was extremely disappointed with our experience at this venue. Everything had been progressing…read moresmoothly until the wedding day itself, when management's actions nearly derailed the entire event. They repeatedly threatened to shut down the wedding over minor issues, creating unnecessary stress for the couple, guests, and planners. Without the wedding planners' intervention, the day would likely not have been able to continue as planned. As a guest, I felt constantly under surveillance. Staff members circled the area throughout the event, which made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. They also entered guest rooms, moved personal belongings, and went through bags without clear explanation or prior notice. Compounding the frustration, none of the venue's rules or restrictions were communicated until we had already checked in. The venue enforced a strict no-liquor policy and required the event to conclude by 9 p.m., which felt overly restrictive for a wedding celebration. Overall, the policies and atmosphere were more suited to a retirement community than a wedding venue.

Inside was very spacious and had a big dance floor. You were able to move around from table to table very easily. Dinner was great and the bartenders were quick.

Let me start off this review by saying how incredibly gorgeous this location is for a wedding,…read morereception or other important event. It is a top of the line facility, and you can see the thought that Rob put into it as it was being built. That being said, brides BEWARE! Although this is a beautiful place, the service staff you will encounter throughout your planning process is very unorganized and unhelpful. Integrity Hills is VERY difficult to work with, especially the on-site "wedding coordinator" Kim. Limited thought is given to each couple, and after signing the contract this fact is made very apparent. You will begin to feel like a dollar sign rather than a guest. Unless you are hoping for a 'cookie cutter' wedding, steer clear of this venue. They like each event to be the same, to limit the additional time and though that could be required. Requests are met with dismay and laziness. Make sure to have IN WRITING any special requests or ideas you hope to have on your big day. They will make sure to tell you they will fly to the moon and back just for you on your big day, but this is a commonly used sales tactic. Once the contract is signed, they become very difficult. It is obvious that the coordinator has no previous experience in wedding planning or coordination and is a new to the facility. Many vendors warned me of this before committing to Integrity Hills, but once I saw the property I just couldn't help myself because it was so beautiful! DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! The property is new and growing fast. Be prepared to be treated like a dollar sign, just another bride, and not as a serviced customer but as someone who should be appreciative you were allowed to hold your event on the property.
