I've been coming to American Tire in Ventura since I owned my 2001 Lexus IS300, so I know this location well. They're always busy, and for good reason. If you're coming in, make an appointment and come with patience. There are always a lot of customers, and they stay booked. On this visit, I purchased LT285/60R18 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO3s, and they fit my truck perfectly. I have a 2-inch lift and had already done an alignment. On my first visit, I wish the initial employee had taken a little more time to walk through my questions, though he did say the tires would fit. When I came back for the install, Jose completely turned the experience around. He was professional, took the time to come out, listen, and double-check everything. He was honest about a possible slight rub and made sure I felt comfortable before moving forward. That customer service made a big difference. There was a small appointment mix-up, but nothing major. Wait was about an hour, which didn't surprise me given how busy they are. Overall, great service, tires look great, and I appreciate the team. Thanks to Jose and the American Tire crew in Ventura. I took my car in last Saturday. I thought I had originally made an appointment with the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone over a week ago, but I was not in their system. But that didn't matter because Jose, which I believe is the manager there, still accommodated me. I got a tire rotation and I will tell you that from the time I got there,dropped my car off. I had a really good experience. He made me feel comfortable. He still took me in to get my tires rotated, and I am a very happy customer. This hurts to put 1 star, I have been coming here for years for both my cars and the wife's. We bought a set of tires online and made an appointment to get them out on. Show up early for the appointment only to stand there with no help until almost 10 minutes after my appointment. They say the car will be done in a hour and a half. I come back then to see my car just going in? Then they tell me they don't have my tires in stock we purchased? Then charges me the difference, what happened to this place, extremely disappointing. read more

Relocated to Ventura County after losing Altadena family home of 25 years in Eaton Fire on 1/8/25. Had repeatedly low tire pressure in one tire on 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. America's Tire in Ventura allowed me to make an online appointment. The entire experience was top-notch. Lovely, professional service lobby, knowledgeable staff, upfront pricing, nice waiting area. After inspecting tire in question, service tech came to inform me that leaking air culprit was a nail in tire. They patched the tire. Because it was a repair only, there was no charge for the service. I will be returning to America's Tire for any and all future tire needs. What a find! read more

Americas Tire truly deserves its name. It should be, if not already, America's go to tire shop. Service is consistently amazing across all their store locations, and each one of the employees makes sure you're taken care of. I came in for a complimentary tire rotation and had a question regarding my tire that was losing air from a nail and supposedly patched by a different tire shop. I was greeted with smiles and respect, and was in and out within the hour, no appointment needed (even though I had one). The employee notified me that they usually do a plug and patch, and that my tire was only patched, which resulted in the patch failing and losing air. Now I know to not trust any other tire shop except this one. They also helped pump my tires up to the OEM spec without me asking. Keep this company in mind for all your tire needs! read more

Came into town after driving three hours to pick up an item. Right before leaving my location, my indicator light flashing on with low air pressure from one of my tires. Located America's Tire with less than an hour before closing time, drove down told them about my tire, less than an hour later, I am driving away with a repaired tire. I had recently had a new set of tires installed on my car here on 7/28/25, to which the technicians who installed my tires subsequently damaged/scuffed the rims of my vehicle in the process. I immediately notified the manager upon noticing the damages to which he would attempt to downplay it by telling me directly to my face "that was there before they put the tires on" which that was completely false. The manager was generous enough to refund me $100 for the damages after spending ~$1200 for my tires, but this is still absolutely unacceptable to have happened. I will NOT be returning & will be sure to inform others to stay away. read more

America's Tire Store went above & beyond on 4/30/25. My husband and I were in downtown Ventura when as we were preparing to leave and drive home we noticed a nail protruding on the side of our back left tire. We were afraid to drive too far. Fortunately there was an America's Tire Store nearby. When we met with, Robert Padilla, at the location on Main St. in Ventura, he said the tire would need to be replaced because the nail was protruding from the side and not the tread. We asked him to replace it and was prepared to pay the $250. for a new tire. When the car was on the rack, Robert came to us to show us the nail and say that it hadn't penetrated the wall of the tire, wasn't leaking and they were able to fix it without us buying a new tire! It's so refreshing to find someone like Robert who is HONEST. He could've easily given us a new tire and no one would've been the wiser. There have been many times that I have stopped in an America's Tire store to have air put in my tires. Their employees are always so courteous and helpful and they don't charge anything for that service. That is why when I need tires I ALWAYS buy them at America's Tire Store. read more

Warning!!!! Do not bring your car to this place unless you want them to pretend to fix the problem by just resetting your low tire pressure light. Warning!!!!! My light came on in my car telling me that one of my tires had low pressure due to a possible leak- the lazy people working here, instead of actually checking the cause of the light turning on, all they did is reset the tire light without actually fixing the problem. These people should be sued for negligence. It's absolutely irresponsible and one day they will cause someone to die to injure themselves in a car accident because of their lazy, inept behavior. How this place has such high reviews is beyond me. If I were the owner I would fire the people who "worked" on my car immediately. Absolutely abhorrent behavior. read more

The employee who we talked to was rude when I said we couldn't afford to replace all the tires and he commented "well you're adults youl figure it out".. that's extremely inappropriate and uncalled for. Not only did it take two hours granted it was a walk in appointment they didn't even put the right tire on the car. They gave us a tire with completely different tread pattern. I've been shopping here for years, after searching and trying different stores for several years. I find America's Tire to be the best when it comes to the whole package. They have a great selection of tires, competitive prices, friendly and knowledgeable employees, and clean and comfortable waiting areas no matter which location. This last visit was no different, except that I ordered the tires online under a special promotion. Once they were delivered, the next day, I was called to notify me of that fact and asked if I wanted to come in a day earlier than what was booked online. I did and arrived at a busy waiting area, but they moved us through quickly. I was quoted a time, and the car was delivered on the button of their estimate. After so many years, this location has gone down, the new manager Edgar Rivera, is not a very caryy store manger. I went there for a simple fix of my tire and ethan was not very helpfull at all he only wanted to sell me a new tires, only because he said my tires were to old. The tire was in good shape, so he got my flat fixed. Then I odered a new set of tires, and made an appoinment, when showing up my tires were not there. Why u said they would be, so I made another apponitment with Ethan, for !0: 45 A.M. I sat there for 30 minuntes, till I got servive. The they lost my hub cat, at that is a whole nother sorry. Edgar Rivera is the worst store manger I have ever dedt with, I even call corpaerate to step in. They put the wrong size tires on my wife's pathfinder. Wasn't noticeable at first but then we went took it camping and the wheels were rubbing inside the wheel wells. The shocks were old so we replaced those but it keep doing it then I finally checked the tire size with the sticker on the door and the tires that they installed were too big. Before I could take it back someone hit my wife and totaled the car but I will never go back here. read more

I went to put brakes on my wife's car when I removed the lug nut. I found that the stud broke off because it had been cross threaded and installed with the ZIP gun America's tire had installed those tires a year and a half ago, but they stood behind their mistake. Gave us a voucher to have it repaired at another shop since they don't do that type of work and it cost us nothing.
