Made an appointment, showed them the quote on my cell phone and they matched the price! Going here was better than costco as you can make an appointment at one of their slow times and minimize your wait. Plus their waiting longe is more comfortable as Costco has none. In addition they have several sales people to accommodate customers as Costco has only one and there is always a wait because their counter person is also answering phones. This location always has a line but that is a good sign as it shows high customer volume. Not to worry, get their quote and come back at a more convenient time for all parties and installation. I clearly explained that the flat was on the rear right tire and noted--based on my own familiarity with vehicles--that the nail appeared to be outside the sidewall, making it a candidate for repair. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, Tom chose to correct my wording with, "you mean the shoulder?"--a distinction that felt less about accuracy and more about asserting authority over a customer. It immediately set the tone. He then informed me the tire tread measured at a 2 and needed replacement. While I acknowledged that replacement was likely imminent, I explicitly stated I wanted to explore repair first and discuss full replacement after reviewing options and pricing. He dismissed the request without meaningful discussion and ended the interaction abruptly. Within minutes, I returned ready to move forward with pricing on new tires. His response--"we're the biggest tire company in America, chances are we have it"--was delivered with a level of condescension that was both unnecessary and unprofessional. I wasn't questioning your inventory; I was asking for a quote. It's not a riddle. I asked again, simply, for a quote. I was then told to wait in the lobby. Despite having a 12:00 appointment, I sat waiting while he proceeded to assist multiple walk-in customers who arrived after me. After nearly an hour with no follow-up, no communication, and no acknowledgment, I left. Just an extended lesson in how little my time mattered. I contacted American Tire Depot immediately after. Within five minutes, they confirmed availability, provided pricing, and offered same-day service--everything this visit failed to deliver. Efficient, respectful, and refreshingly free of ego. This experience was defined by dismissiveness, poor communication, and a clear lack of respect for a paying customer's time. It was defined by condescension, poor communication, and a surprising resistance to simply doing the job. If the goal was to lose a customer, mission accomplished. Buyer beware. Over the Christmas break, I stopped by to get a free air service. The younger gentleman told me that my rear tires were at 3/32 (time to replace soon he said) and front at 5/32. Tonight, I went to Les Schwab for a free tire rotation (even though I didn't buy my tires there - it's their business model to earn your business); the rep measured my tires at 7.5-8/32 front and 5.5 to 6 rear. I have a RWD EV, so that type or wear is normal and needs to be rotated. Get a second opinion before listening to these guys. Les Schwab has zero reason to lie, as they sell tires. I was leaving work and the TPMS system said front passenger tire was low. I physically checked and the tire looked fine. But the sensor showed PSI at 24, instead of the recommended 34 psi for my vehicle. I decided to bring it into America's Tire for quick evaluation. I arrived here 10 minutes prior to opening on Wednesday morning, approximately 0750. No appointment and no real answer. Tom greeted me and said he'll check for a nail, faulty TPMS, or another issue. After a quick glance he saw a tire dead center between the tread. He said they can patch the tire for FREE because the nail was in the middle of the tread and not on outside walls. They serviced the vehicle and patched the tire and I was on the road by 0900. An hour of my time and $0 out of my pocket. Many place charge $20 for a quick patch and the places that charge $0 are hoping the leak is on the side wall so you must purchase a new tire from them. Regardless, I'm satisfied with customer service, speed and service, and price in this specific case. read more

Had to bring my car in to America's Tire after getting a flat from a valve stem leak--ended up leaving it overnight until they opened. As soon as they opened, they were on it. Super quick, friendly service. They got the tire fixed right away, took care of the valve issue, and had me back on the road in no time. Only hiccup? They forgot to return my lock release for the tires, which is kind of important. Not a huge deal, but it's something to double-check before you leave. I was having such a bad morning rushing to work today. Immediately, I noticed my tire was flat, pulled into a gas station to put air in my tire thinking it was just low. I got to work and it was flat again and I notice a screw in it and a hissing sound. On my lunch break I took my car to americas tire shop, they came out to help me right away, a young gentleman named frank. He assessed my car and told me I could leave it with him, I did. I woke close so that wasn't a problem. My car was ready within the hour and the service was amazing. I'm so thankful for franks communication and thoughtfulness. After being a customer for many, many years and even recommending this place I have to say that the great customer service wasn't there, I got a quote from an associate and I made sure he gave me a quote all inclusive of fees and when I got there the person that greeted me I could tell he was not having a good day but it soon escalated when he was trying to charge me another $40 for the service I was quoted, he conveniently said there is no quote saved after I told him that I had a quote already and even mentioned who gave me the quote, he was more focused on trying to explain to me that if they damage a tire they are responsible and I just told him to ask the associate which he did, he said he made a mistake and he has to charge me more, he even had the nerve to say it doesn't matter how many vehicles you have here with us, I told him to have the other guy helped me since it's obvious he is not having a good day, he adjusted everything in his screen and gave me another run at we usually charge this much. The bottom line I told him that I wad told there would be no balancing charge and looking at his computer since you can do so, after I took out the balancing it was the exact amount including the $3.95 for each tire disposal fee. I told him that is cool he doesn't care how many cars I have with them but his customer service should be priority over his: "what happens if we damage the tires" speech. I would hope that they do their best job taking care of the tires and their customers. I've been a long time customer and have frequently visited several locations from the OC to the IE. they've always been consistently excellent! My interaction with Ian was pleasant. My initial contact was by phone. I wanted to know if a specific Falken tire was available. He informed me that he could order the 4 tires and they would be delivered to the store within 3 days. I placed the order with a $25 deposit. The next day after placing my order, I was advised by Ian that my tires arrived early and suggested I reserve a tire installation appointment. Unfortunately, appointments were unavailable for the following few days. However, I was told that I could walk in anytime and wait or drop off my car. I opted to wait as I desperately needed new tires especially since I would be driving in the rain. There's never hidden fees at America's Tire. They are transparent about costs. I love the protection policy offered. I've used this to my advantage several times. If my tire is unexpectedly damaged by road conditions, they will prorate the used tire and apply the credit towards the purchase of a new tire. My wait time was three hours. This was my choice after they provided me other helpful options. I came prepared with my tablet to watch Netflix, snacks, & a drink. Ian provided frequent updates and ensured my visit was appreciated. My car is driving smooth and quiet with the Falken 60,000 mile tires. They offer higher end brand tires as well as more economical types. I usually go with a brand above average and Falken has always been good to me. If you're looking for new tires, be sure to give America's Tire a chance to satisfy your vehicle needs. Especially the Compton Ave location! read more

I don't recommend going here if you don't have an appointment. I hit a pothole on the 91E and then drove the 15 and felt I had a flat tire. It was not repairable but I was so happy there was this Americas Tire 1 mile from where I had triple A change my tire. Tom is a great employee, efficient but unfortunately this place can't handle you if you had an emergency. They will make you wait. I was told it would take until 1 pm and I decided to wait . I got a link and when I checked it says it will be around 12:19 pm and I was happy. But when at the time they were supposed to be working on my car and nothing was happening, I asked about the time and they said that the promise time is not guaranteed and it's not even updated. I made a decision to call A tire place in Alhambra near my house and drive my car back home which took me 1 hour and went to the new tire place. By the time I arrive, it took them 30 minutes to take care of my tires. So if you have appointment , This is a good place but if you have an emergency, go elsewhere or you will wait a long long time. I explained the situation to Rudy, and he helped me out by finding a used tire compatible with my car. This let me get back to Long Beach safely, where I could use my warranty to get a replacement. He came out right away to greet us Ms let us know what we are going to do once the spot opens up. Once it was our turn to go, you drive up to the assigned spot. 2 cars at a time can park. Tom provided me with finest and most professional service I have ever experienced. I got a flat tire on my way to work early in the morning and was able to make it to America's tire. While the store opened officially at 8am, and I was there well before the opened, Tom made sure I knew he saw me and even came out a little early to get me going. I made an appt for install after confirming the approximate delivery of the tires. I received a call confirming the tires would arrive on time for the installation appointment. A day later, another call to let me know the tires have arrived and confirmed my appointment. As I arrived for my 8am appointment, the parking lot had around 6 cars waiting for the front door to open at 8am, to my surprise, an associate walked to my car and confirmed todays appointment, checked me in and I was driving away on 4 new tires at 8:35am. read more
