I took a ride on Monday to the airport. This was my first time since the beginning of all the COVID-19 stuff. I was a bit hesitant at first to fly, but figured it would be okay (Alaska blocks middle seat...). John picked me up (on time as always), and I was happy to see that he installed Plexiglas barriers in his vehicle for our mutual safety. Naturally John had his mask on (as did I). The conversation was a bit muffled through the two masks and barrier, but isn't that the "new normal" (unfortunately)? Bottom line, I felt safe riding in the vehicle. John Allen of America's Finest Shuttles is LEGIT--licensed and insured. He also doesn't charge your card until your trips are completed. He's reliable and on time, the vehicle was clean and comfortable. His website needs updating but he's solid and trustworthy. He also had the best price of all the quotes I received. OUTSTANDING! There is no other word to describe the service I received by John Allen, retired Navy Chief and owner of America's Finest Shuttles. John's price was the lowest. His service beat every other airport shuttle company I have previously used. He picked us up at the exact time he said he would. When we messed up his schedule by having to go back and get a forgotten item, he did so with no complaints. He also was very helpful when our 5 year old spilled his drink in the shuttle. When we arrived at the airport he sought out someone to help us with our luggage. Just a class act. On our return flight we were delayed by four hours. He guaranteed he would be there or he would send another company at no additional charge to us. He was there of course and very helpful with a smile on his face. Without a doubt, the most courteous and professional delivery service I have ever experienced! When you're traveling, the last thing you want to worry about is transportation. John, a local of San Diego, is the owner and was our driver to the airport. He is incredibly outgoing and passionate about what he doing. A retired military veteran, he paid attention to every detail of the trip (e.g., emailed receipt the night prior, hard copy the day of, booster seat for our toddler). I have never posted a review for any service, ever, although I use Yelp often- however I do want to post that I found John A.'s America's Finest shuttle service from Poway to the San Diego airport to be excellent! I had to book at the last minute, the night before-however he immediately sent me a text and email confirming my appointment, and he was at our designated meeting spot 10 minutes early. The transport vehicle was spotless, and I arrived early to the airport despite commute hour traffic. John was very pleasant and professional and I will definitely call on him again. When I arrived home in Marin County-and had to take a cab home-- (twice as expensive for distance, and in a dirty, hot, completely unsatisfactory car-) I realized it is rare to have such excellent service, as I did with Americas Finest. These guys are kick ass. I had a flight this morning and had totally forgot to set up a ride to the airport. I called these guys and they set up a ride within the hour. The man I spoke to was very friendly and extremely professional on the phone. When the driver arrived (in a beautiful Mercedes which I wasn't expecting when he said "sedan") he promptly greeted us with a smile, loaded our luggage for us, and opened our doors. Conversation was pleasant, ride was smooth, and price was RIGHT! I couldn't believe the service I received for the price I paid. It's rare to find services like this where the driver is American and your not paying an arm and a leg. He seemed to know a lot about the area too.
