I went ahead and ordered the fried fish with three sides and was quoted a 20-minute wait. Since the space is on the smaller side, I chose to wait in my car. Twenty minutes later, I came back in and was told it would be another 20 minutes, and that they'd bring my order out to me. After no one came out, I went back inside to find the restaurant had completely cleared out, and my food still wasn't ready. They apologized and offered a complimentary drink, which was a nice gesture, but I ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half for fish and three sides. That's simply not acceptable, regardless of how busy it gets. I get it, a rush happens. But transparency goes a long way. Had I been given an honest wait time upfront, I would have made a different decision. I truly want to see Black businesses thrive, especially right now, and I hope they take this feedback to heart and work out the kinks.
