Went to the front desk and asked for a refund as my wife has asthma and she cannot breathe the mold. His answer was I can't check you out now, but I'll check you out in the morning because I'm doing night audit. We won't make you pay for a room since you're not staying here. Then he went to the back room came back out a couple minutes later and says I can't do anything to help you. I can't guarantee we're gonna refund you. The manager will talk to the owner, but you paid for the room and we might not be able to refund you, it's up to the owner. Apparently, the best Western Aberdeen thinks that people should stay in moldy rooms and deal with the smell (or simply open the window). Horrible customer service for a horrible hotel room.

My mom would get cold so she had the heater on in her room. The Cabin we were in was dog friendly and easy to keep clean with linoleum flooring. The cabin also had a 2 chair table inside as well as 2 adirondack chairs outside to relax in. It was perfect for 3 people (my parents and me) They got the bedroom and I slept on the pullout couch. I loved the the couches had covers on them so it would be easy to wash if the dogs were on it. There is also an area for the dogs but wished there was a fence for it. But that's ok. The cabin had pots and knives, cutlery, bottle openers, glasses, 2 mugs, plates and bowls, a single coffee maker with little creamers and sugars . I didn't see pans. But I'm sure you could ask if they have some or use the pots. For the fisherman, there are 2 areas to clean your fish so cabin 16 was right in front of there which was convenient. There is also a stand for a pot for a crab boil on the other side of the fish cleaning station across from Cabin 16. The cleaning staff were helpful when we needed supplies like more towels. or letting us know where the ice machine was located. I didn't see any laundry areas so I just walked 2 min to the Westhaven Laundry. It was clean there too. Parking was non covered and next to each entrance of the cabins or you can park across the way. Lots of safe parking. Not really wheelchair friendly for the cabins and the area since it's rocky ground with some patches of grass.

STEVE SCHWAB'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE-FAILURES AT THE JUDITH ANN INN IN OCEAN SHORES, WA: 1.) ZOMBIE STAFFING. There is no front desk during our 3 day stay. The property operations manager assigned to the Judith Ann Inn, Lindzie Theurer (425-287-7230), did not return our call regarding the wifi code given to us that didn't work but is needed to access services offerings like WATCHING TV OR LISTENING TO MUSIC WHILE ON VACATION. 2.) REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE: Called the tech vacation company's corporate at 800-544-0300, the # posted on our rental refrigerator. The poorly trained, unmotivated (meaning poorly paid), customer service (of course there was a 10 min. wait for someone to answer the phone) who informed us they had no information about the Judith Anne Inn in their database. 3.) 45 MIN. WAIT TO ACCESS THE UNIT THAT WE BOOKED: With no front desk at the Judith Ann Inn, we had to call "a number." This meant leaving messages for Judith Ann's customer service and then waiting for a return call. Steve Schwab's customer service we finally reached did not initially understand that the code that was texted to us upon booking to unlock the vacation unit was wrong. We were texted a 4 digit code when the door key code was actually a 10 digit code - that, according to Steve's customer service, said "must be entered quickly and accurately with no pauses." When my friend said the code she was giving by Steve's tech platform did not work and she then said that she will need a refund of the rental fee because the code does not work and we can't access the unit. Then Steve Schwab's customer service said - in the strongest voice possible - that it was too late for a refund. My friend was stunned about to hang up, then Steve's customer service asked us to hold on and then provided a 10 digit # code for the door without amitting Casago's tech texted the wrong door code. 4.) "DAMAGE WAIVER FEE." Read the small print because if Steve's zombie cleaner company finds anything wrong without telling Steve, then you are on the hook (to quote: "You may be liable for the cost.") 5.) Steve's zombie cleaning company's posted note also said theyt appreciate if you load the dishwasher and turning it on for them - because this saves multi billionaire (I'm guessing what his weath is) Steve Schwab money on unit cleaning costs. FINAL WARNING: The unit is Home Goods/Target 1990s era shabby chic. It was clean but needs cosmetic repairs (chipping paint and poorly done home repair work that should be professionally done but is was cheaper not to.) The grass under the balcony area is full of stickers. If you are not into zombie tech customer service (it's not customer service, it's just cheap patches to problems that remain unsolved) and you prefer keys instead of 10 digit door codes and you do not want to spend 2 hours trying to get a TV entertainment system to work by scrolling through reams of instructions on a TV screen, then I recommend SPEND THE MONEY FOR A HOTEL MANNED BY HUMAN BEINGS AND HAS A PROFESSIONAL MANAGER ON SITE. Now that I have experienced a Zombie Hotel, I know the warning signs to look for to avoid it and not give these "there is no management" businesses (particularly hotels with zero customer service) any of my hard earned money. And of course there is only frustration and being ripped off.
