Well it was not what I had expected but that's not to say someone else may rate higher. The food was ok - we are picky so we asked for like sour cream and some spicy sauce in the side. Asked twice and never received. The Air conditioning was not on and it was our first day in the 80's so wasn't to uncomfortable just wasn't what we were looking for. They brought out grilled cheese when we asked for a kids cheese quesadilla . I have to say though that the kids grilled cheese looked good! The chicken taco was bland but the steak taco and the pork taco was great. My son had shrimp tacos and the shrimp looked good. The food itself was alright just wasn't comfortable after working outside all day - I will update as I am in the area A lot. Food is ok - give it a try!

New Venue Alert! Americanos in Edison Park is a must visit destination. With inviting décor and a festive atmosphere, the Margaritas are wild and made with all natural ingredients. The presentation of the food was beautiful, we had the following: Ceviche and chips. Highly recommend. Arrachera Served with rice and beans, knob onion, and jalapeño. The skirt steak is fantastic! Tostadas We tried steak and pork; both were delicious. Tacos We had the fish (deep fry battered cod) (my favorite) steak (skirt steak) al pastor (marinated pork) Salad (Brussell Sprouts Ensalada) I loved this! It's big enough for 2 people and really delicious! This is a great place to have a drink and watch your favorite sporting event. Have a wonderful meal with the family, or just come in for some chips and salsa.Or ceviche.

If you're ever in Edison Park and craving something bold, fresh, and full of flavor, you have to check out Americanos. This spot is known for their Mexican-American street food with a modern twist and they definitely deliver. I started with their guacamole, and you can immediately tell it's homemade because it's creamy, zesty, and super fresh. Then I tried the flautas stuffed with chicken Tinga and the seasoning was on point. But the real surprise? A fried chicken torta. I don't see this often, and it was so good --crispy, juicy, and loaded with flavor. I also went for three different kinds of tacos, and honestly, each one held its own. Flavor-packed, well-balanced, and just the right amount of kick. And if you're in the mood for a drink? This month they're featuring a blueberry lemon margarita--it's refreshing, a little tart, and the perfect pairing for all that spice. Americanos is definitely a solid go-to when you want street food done right

Just visited Americanos in Edison Park. The margaritas Fresca are a delicious treat with tropical flavors such as mango, pinaple, watermelon, strawberry, and more A good selection of beers 13 bottles 4 cans There is no on tap beer here. Yeah! Tequilas to satisfy any taste: Blanco, anejos, reposados, and premium, we counted 30 in all. A good selection of bourbon, and scotch and wine are also available. Ceviche Mild marinated shrimp with lime, a perfect companion for your Margarita!... Arrachera Served with delicious customary rice and beans, knob onion, and jalapeño. The skirt steak is the star, and it shines. We added shrimp (5.00 extra) but worth it; make sure to try a bite with a bit of each ingredient, i guarantee it won't be your last. Tostadas We tried steak and pork; both were delicious. A taco is just a taco unless you are at americanos; here they are an indulgence & a must try! Tacos We had the fish (deep fry battered cod) (my favorite) steak (skirt steak) al pastor (marinated pork) Salad (Brussell Sprouts Ensalada) It's big enough to share, but I doubt anyone will, not willingly at list. We added chicken and made for a full meal any time of the day. A few lovingly, but prominently displayed family pictures let you know this is a family restaurant, and the service is the same as a host welcoming you into their home. WE LOVE AMERICANOS! Tacos are SO GOOD (coming from a Texan who eats tacos for breakfast, lunch, AND DINNER) (and i'm not obese im pretty thin actually!) Doe is the best bartender, he makes us giggle, and he makes us the BEST skinny spicy margs every time (keeps me thin! take notes ladies! we also had horchata bites let yourself indulge every now and then) This is second time I've been here when I come visit my twin sister in Chicago. I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO TACOS!

The best Mexican restaurant around! The quality of food is amazing and the margaritas hit just right! We come here for tacos (pork belly and shrimp are my favorites, hubby likes steak too), but today we ordered Fajitas (steak / shrimp) and a Taco Salad. Wow! So much food and flavor. Come, you won't regret it!

Chicken flautas!

Food was amazing! I have been on a quest to find faultas equal or better than Puesto's in CA. The cocktails, delicious! Service was almost nonexistent. Please hire an experienced server or gentleman if you plan on being the servers watch a YouTube video on proper table service.

The tacos were tasty. The vibes are good. Friendly staff and tvs showing sports. The food wasn't very hot. Particularly the soup which was lukewarm warm. The drinks were good.

Casual spot, parking lot and really good tacos. Haven't tried the margaritas, but will be back. Great addition to the neighborhood.

It was before 6pm so we were able to find a seat. I think they have seats for only 25 people so prepare to stand when it gets busy. Our bartender was Edward and he was really nice. I ordered a Tiramisu Martini and then a Porn Star Martini. They were both good, but I preferred the Porn Star one. We also ordered a Smash Burger, which was actually from Holt's, connected to this bar. That burger was tasty - brioche bun & onions = yum. The chips it came with were crunchy. The Bacon popcorn was good but way too salty for me. Im glad we found this little bar and plan on coming back in the future.

We went out with Park Ridge friends last weekend and they took us to this charming bar. I read a…read morefew reviews that said that Pines Room has a small town vibe. I disagree--I am a Chicago boy and it has a big city hidden gem quality about it. In fact, they promote themselves as a speakeasy. Of course you can get any cocktail you want, but my husband and I both opted for a special strawberry cocktail made with Hendrick's gin. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and garnished with a dehydrated lemon slice. Perfect! Our friends both ordered old fashioned cocktails that looked equally as good. It was a Saturday night and this tiny bar was jam-packed. We had to stand, but it was okay because we had only stopped in for one drink before heading to another restaurant for dinner. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. Prices are not inexpensive, but average to what you'd find in a downtown Chicago restaurant. If you''re looking for a cool place to hang in Park Ridge with a craft cocktail and have a small bite (they have a limited food menu, too), Pines Room is the place.

The prices were high, I got the souvlakia for $24 assuming it would be 2 meals for me (I'm a small girl) and I was able to easily finish the plate. I think it would've been a fair price if it came with 2 sides instead of 1. The server was nice when we got there, but that changed when my husband walked to the counter service part of the restaurant (Mully's) to order a burger. We thought the Social 18 menu was table service and the Mully's menu was counter service. When the waitress realized he had gone over himself to place his burger order she got very aggressive, saying it "takes away from front of house money" (aka her tip). It was uncomfortable and weird and totally turned me off to the business. The lady working the Mully's counter was the person that brought all our food out and she was very nice. Overall I'd say 4 stars for taste, 3 stars for price, 2 stars for service. I definitely don't want to see this place fail, I just hope there can be some adjustments to make it a better place to visit. I personally won't be back.

When I was a kid I use to go to the Des Plaines Theater & watch movies for 60 cents (ahhh nostalgia trip down memory lane), but I digress The speakeasy inside the Des Plaines Theater is an awesome idea. The show was awesome but the one MAJOR MAJOR issue I have is the bartender who continued to serve my sister's friend. He was obviously very very drunk to a point where he could barely walk wo/stumbling. He was slurring his words. Both my sister & I asked the bartender not to serve him anymore alcohol but she kept serving him drinks even after we asked. She continued to serve him even after we asked her not to. When he and my sister left she told me he tried to put the key in the ignition 14X's before she convinced him to let her drive. Your bartender's need to be aware of a persons level of intoxication. Both my sister & I asked her not to serve him anymore drinks but she continued to serve him. Thank God my sister was able to convince him to let her drive home otherwise what was an excellent evening could have ended tragically. Please have your bartenders be more conscious of a persons level of intoxication. While I gave Bourbon & Brass a 5 star review I need to down grade that for over serving someone alcohol even after both my sister & I asked her to stop serving him
