A couple weeks ago driving from AZ to Santa Monica in my new-to-me Ford Escape, my tire went flat about an hour away from Indio. Lucky it happened very near a gas station. It looked like it was going to hold when filled with air and it did to the next gas station. However, when I arrived at 2nd station, not only was tire flat again, but the air pump nozzle was missing. My car was fully packed so accessing the spare wasn't easy. To my dismay there was no tire iron in trunk! Borrowing one from the sympathetic station attendants and a fellow traveler was of no use either as there was a lock nut on tire with no key and the other lug nuts were stripped. All this happening past midnight. My remaining option was to get towed to next town's tire shop and wait for them to open with hopes they would be able to help. I spent rest of the night in my car in their parking lot. Aldo, the store manager, arrived way before official opening time and quickly assessed my situation. His technicians arrived a little before 8am and promptly went to work on my car. I don't know how long I waited, but in what seemed to me only a few minutes Aldo told me my car was ready. They had fixed my flat, returned the spare to its place, unloaded and neatly repacked all my things in the trunk! I was very happy my tire was fixable and didn't need to be replaced, but mostly thrilled with level of service received after a challenging night. Indio is very fortunate to have Aldo and his team to help everyone with their wheel and tire needs. I am writing this review from Green Bay, WI after a safe 2,500 mile journey. I wrote a review of this place earlier before any work was done to my tires. Now that I've had chance to review there work I see why this place is at a shade part of town. They lure you in saying that they will patch up your tire for free. So I came in with a nail in the middle of my tire that both my husband and I saw. They take your car in the back and wait until you write a review then they come back saying that there was another small nail in your tire. They told me I had two nails in the tire the one I clearly saw and some invisible one. And because of the other nail that did so much damage I have to buy a tire. They quoted me 270 for a new tire. My husband texted me to have them put on the spare and run from that place. They at first said I had no spare. Then I told them every new car has a spare tire. They put it on. I drove away and went straight to my dealership. The dealership looked at the tire with the nail. They said that there was only one nail hole and that the tire shop did a very poorly done patch up job that they needed to clean the tire of all the mess. The dealership was able to fix the tire for 15 dollars. Could you imagine a free tire patch turned into 270 dollars and just 15 dollars at a good dealership turned to a working tire. These American tire Depot are not to be trusted run from that place and go to a well known tire shop and not at this run down shady place!! read more

Highly reccommend this shop. Our car needed what we thought was tire balancing and front end alignment. We made appointment and got in right away, surprised as it was a Saturday. When we went to pick up the car, we got the news they changed the oil, but when did the front end alignment, found we had problem in front end that required parts to be ordered and another repair. When we were trying to make arrangements to bring it back, The manager Noah offered to help out by taking us home after dropping off the car. We were not expecting this kind of service a but were grateful for it. We felt the shop went above and beyond to provide great service and did an excellent job of explaining not only the work that needed to be done, but gave us what we felt was a really good price for the repairs, and kept in touch with us throughout the day, on the progress of the repair. We are new to the Indio area and really appreciate knowing this honest repair shop is not only close to home but provides excellent service in a courteous respectful way. Dont let the name fool you... they do much more than TIRES ... We feel like we have a brand new car with the new front end repair and tires... so glad to have found this shop! read more

I love these guys. I bought a set of 4 tyres last November. I bought the extended warranty at the same time. But the reason why I went here, They offered the best value by far. They were fast and efficient with excellent customer service. Truly great people. Further to this, I recently had a wheel problem. My partner damaged a wheel and it needed replacing (the tyre was fine) The guys at the store told me exactly what kind of wheel I needed. When I located it I brought it in and the guys swapped the tyre from the damaged wheel to the new wheel under my extended tyre warranty which includes free life mounting balancing and rotating. I bought their own brand tyre and let me tell you they're a very decent tyre. Low noise db. Great feel. And fantastic price. I just want to thank all the guys at the store who didn't look at me as a disabled woman and a way to make a quick buck. You guys were amazing and I'm genuinely grateful for your help. I've recommended you to all my family 3 of which have since last year been to buy tyres from you. My new by far favourite tyre shop. Incredibly competitive on price and customer service is off the scale. Great job guys. Keep up the amazing work and thanks again. read more

I give them 2 star is because they did give me a discount when changing the whole 4 tires after my 1 tire gone flat, the rest should be OK but I decided to change to they can match. My car was 25k miles, literally new. After changing the tires the car started to vibrate on the freeway, i suspected they didn't balance it well when replacing the tires. So i called and have the tires balanced, once, then twice, the vibration still persist. Making the car a massage cabin at high speed. After believing their excuse i stay with the condition for another 5k miles until i couldnt stand the vibration, finally brought to the dealership, pay them the exact amount of saving to get the tires rebalanced correctly. So i wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't have a choice. read more

What can I say about the mechanics they are the best. Very quick and efficient make sure my cars run perfectly. But I'm very disappointed in American tire depot they hired some new guy named Andy (the guy who answers the phone and watches tv inside) This guy is very rude and thinks he owns the company. I call to get a price.... check gets me the price than I tell him I like the price but want to shop around.(nothing wrong with shopping around) he doesn't Evan say bye or ok just shuts the phone in my face what kind of customer service is that. I bought tires from here before that gentlemen was very nice think his name was nick or something like that. Someone need to get this guy in line before they start losing costumers as soon as possible. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I felt that this had to be known. It was a Saturday and I needed four tires put on my car asap and I called around to get quote and one of them happened to be American Tire Depot. I spoke to Josh and he said he could get me tires today at the best rate I had found. Unfortunately only Cat City had them and he said he would go and get them so I didn't have to worry. Unfortunately they didn't end up having them like it said on the website so I ended up having to pay more somewhere else because thats how bad I needed them. Josh then followed up with me Monday morning telling me they have the tires now. HE went through a lot of trouble to keep me happy so I would definitely recommend!!!! read more

I had to express my appreciation for the way I was treated at the American tire Depot. We all make mistakes but David Bacenas the assistant manager went out of his way to correct what the technician did . On 10/20/2017 I bought 2 tires . The technician put on the tires but one was the wrong size and went flat 3 days later because it cmame defective from the manufacturer. I came back to the store and David went out of his way to make it right. With very little waiting he replaced the tire. Plus he told me if I need an oil change on that car he would do it for free. Plus a discount on future services. I will recommend American tire Depot to all my friends. read more

driving out of town to san diego and needed four tires. called for 3 tires because i had a bad experience at america's tire which installed one wrong size tire. i figured stay with that size tire and save some money which is really tight right now. the manager nicholas was very curtious and gave me a great price on 3 new tires but had to get them from his other store. the other store apparently said they had them and when they went to pick them up, they could not find them . nicholas then got me into four matching tires for the price of three to still get me on my way. wow! what great service. i will continue to go back for all my auto needs. read more

My wife and i had some issues with a wheel and tire install at a Big Brand Location. We were closer to this tire shop and were referred to them by the 'umbrella' of Big Brand tire stores. We arrived later in the day, after i had spoken to Mario earlier, who had understood our situation and was very accommodating for the circumstances. Long story short, Mario and his right hand man Robert, were absolutely life saving for my wife and I. We are located in Morongo, but will travel to give business to Mario and his store in the future! I was a customer yesterday where I was treated like a guest! Your staff was totally cordial and that included everyone I talked to. I had a slow leak that apparently had been previously repaired and was now failing to hold air so they gave me a "loaner" tire that was used until I was ready for replacements. From the moment I registered with them, they found that I've been a customer in another state and they treated me very kindly throughout the entire process. Was feeling very stressed out, just got back from vacation to this hot summer heat low on cash and bam there goes my tire, lucky I was right across the street from American Tires Depot in Indio. Mike, The Store Manager, IS the man! He was not only as professional and polite as you could expect, but he did his job extremely well. We got a flat tire on our family trip on Sunday and after reading the reviews of the local tire shops we decided to wait for American Tire Depot to open on Monday morning, and we are glad we did. This is the best place.Nick& Allen are EXCELLENT managers they helped me out with my car.and Also my moms car.they were friendly and willing to go the extra mile for there customers.
