UNRELIABLE! My husband and I own a construction company and reached out to American Sliding Door for a specialized project in their local area, to explore partnering with them long term for our clients projects. They did not show up to the appointment set. We had to call 4 different times and always got the same response "we will communicate with the main office and they will reach out to you". Nobody contacted us to update us on an ETA or a rescheduling. read more

Spent over 4k on a poorly built door that took months to complete. They took it back to make repairs and still have not gotten it completed. They won't answer or return my calls now are full of excuses and very unprofessional. Stay as far away as possible read more

used them at 2 different homes, and very very happy. Saved thousands of dollars and frustration. Very friendly.

On time clean and efficient a bit expensive but worth it door slides effortlessly. I would recommend them . Thanks Ted

Ron was amazing, super quick to respond, communicated clearly, and did a fabulous job. Fair prices, he discussed all of our options, brought samples so we can see what we were getting. When it was time to install, he came on time, worked with a wonky floor and odd closet sizes and made everything look amazing. Before working he set out a drape to protect the floor and when finished, he cleaned up after himself. 100% recommend American Sliding Door. read more

Our sliding glass door and screen became very difficult to open. The first company that came out said the glass door needed to be replaced. We wanted a second opinion and are so glad we did. Ron came out the next day and simply replaced the rollers and railing and the door slides like smoothly again! It's disappointing that there aren't more honest folks like Ron. He was professional, took the time to explain everything, and was fair with the price. I highly recommend Ron! read more

I just had my sliding glass doors repaired. The door was hard to open, had a cracked railing & needed new rollers. I had no idea you could repair an old slider of 14 years! This guy is amazing! My door slides smooth now, I love it!! I called & left message then got response same day. The following day job was done! What a Great guy!! By the way, I was not asked to post a review, I did it on my own. I'm a happy consumer! Thank you!! read more

Felix and Kevin came out an installed new rollers on my hard to open sliding glass door. They provided excellent work and went through their process and the various options with me. Timely and professional is how I would describe their work! Would highly recommend. read more

I'm not one to be over-enthusiastic, but in this case I would give 6 stars if I could. This is the best experience I've ever had with a service provider. I think it was made even better because I had just tried someone else (a different repairman) who couldn't get the job done. I needed the rollers and latch/handle replaced on my heavy sliding glass door. The job was extra difficult because my door couldn't be taken out of the existing frame. Ran knew exactly how to address the issue (that confounded the previous repairman) and did it quickly. He and his wife were very friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job. I highly recommend them!! read more

I did not think that my sliding doors could be helped. They were always hard to pull. For 15 years it took two hands to get them open. Wow. What a difference! I can now slide them both easily with one hand! read more

Our patio door was getting harder to open. I contacted Ron at American Sliding Door. He had me text pictures of the door and hardware so he'd know what door he would be working on, a great planning idea so everything gets done in one trip. Ron fixed the door wheels and track, and the screen door lock. Highly recommend Ron!! read more

Excellent work. Friendly, prompt and efficient. The door was SO hard to open and now it's like we have a new door!

Ron is an up most professional. - Easy to schedule - Arrived on time - Fixed sliding door that was stuck - done in an hour - cleaned up (like really sparkling clean) 100 percent recommend. read more

Ron fixed four sliding doors with varying degrees of difficulty in opening (and replaced two glass panels where one of the panes had broken) last summer. He communicated the issues very clearly, was upfront throughout the whole process about timelines/cost, and very diligent in fixing the doors. The day he was scheduled to fix the glass doors wound up among the hottest days of the summer. No matter, he worked through the 100+ degree heat until the job was finished. Once he was done, doors that I could only barely open myself were now not only easy for my young kids to open themselves, but rolled so smoothly that our cat could push them open himself when not locked! After the winter, I guess our house settled a bit, because one of the doors that had been opening smoothly started to stick pretty badly again. Ron came out a day or two after I asked him about it, and fixed the issue at no cost. All in all, it was a great experience having him fix our doors, and highly recommend his services. read more

Ron was absolutely fantastic! Showed up on time and was super efficient. My (very old) sliding door had a warped frame and he was able to fix it within an hour and a half while also taking care of another small issue with a window. It used to take my entire body weight to get the door open and now I think I could slide it with a slight breeze. Would highly recommend and definitely contact again, if needed! read more

I have a 41 year old house with sliding door and busted wheel track. I was bracing for bad news. It was not going to be a simple fix. But new door would cost thousands at minimum. Ron was able to make the door as good as new within 90 minutes. I also live in San Ramon and he came from Martinez to give a free quote. This old house will probably need other repairs in the new future. I know who to call. read more

Made the appointment and they came on time and explained everything, walked me through the process and they made the repairs in about an hour. New handle, lock, track, wheels, etc. for my patio sliding door. I asked for a quote for another project in my home and they were able to take measurements and give me a quote right on the spot. Prices are reasonable. Love to support small businesses and this is definitely one of them. read more

I had my patio sliding door rollers and rail replaced because it had gotten to a point where I could no longer open/close. Ranko and the team had those parts replaced and I'm so happy that it's now a single finale operation to open and close the door! He put floor protection down on the interior side of the door before starting the work and vacuumed the track. Highly recommended! read more

We thought our patio door was a bit hard to open and close so we had the wheels replaced. My husband and I can't get over how nice it is to open and close it now, especially since our dog likes to go in and out so often. So much better! read more

On time. Nice guy. Wife was working with him. They did a great job. No problems. Doors work great. He was slightly less expensive than some of the bigger companies but they all charge quite a bit. That said, I'd bring these people back in a heartbeat. read more

Thank you Ron for coming out today! We had more issues to our door then he could resolve. Love his honesty.

Ron was great. Got back to me very quickly. Very knowledgeable, quick, efficient. Good price for the work done. Both our sliders now move with a finger versus our whole body pushing and pulling them. Had no idea the old doors could work this well! Thank you Ron!! read more

We had three pocket doors that were in various stages of impossible to difficult to open. Ron came out within a day of my texting him photos of the sliders. Even though we have extremely heavy, tall pocket doors, he was able to get them working again, even the one that I thought would never leave its pocket. He was the consummate professional, very clean, very efficient and very effective. I give him my highest recommendation. Thanks Ron! read more

We contacted American Sliding Door regarding a repair. Ron texted us back right away and said he could meet us today. We were out of town an rushed back to meet him at 330pm. We stated the door was old, 1973, and we were worried it might not be able to be repaired. Ron told us if it could not be repaired, difficult to open, we would not be charged. We were able to get the slider open before Ron arrived and he spent about 10 minutes working on the door and advised us it could not be fixed. We asked him to help us carry out a full box spring before shutting the door which he did. I thought there would be no bill since he said we needed a new door. I was planning on giving him $50 for his time however, he demanded $195.00 which I paid. I said "Don't you think that's a little steep?" He said I spent my time coming to your house. He also said he was going to retire in a week. I have text messages where he stated no charge if the door can't be fixed. I felt ripped off. read more

Ron was great! Very responsive and detailed in replacing the rollers on two very heavy sliding doors. They work like brand new! Highly recommend Ron and American Sliding Door! read more

After putting up with a very difficult sliding door for ten years I had the gentleman come over. Opens with a couple of fingers now. I did not expect him to fix the non working lock as I just use a broom stick but without being asked he spent a half hour getting the lock just right. Very nice man. I was completely satisfied which is a bit unusual these days for me. read more

Our sliding door stopped working, I called late at night. Got a voicemail that they were busy but they world call or text back. Since I have a crazy schedule myself. They were super accommodating and fixed the sliding door. If you are an impatient, impractical person... just don't bother them since you can't fix it yourself. Thanks again! read more

We had difficulty opening our patio sliding door and thought the only way to resolve this issue was to replace them. I contacted Ranko who assessed my patio door issue and then repaired them to a like new condition! We could not be happier with his repair work and the time he took to get the job done. In the end, he saved us thousands of dollars and we now love our doors! I highly recommend this company for patio sliding door repair and maintenance! Thanks again Ranko for a job well done! read more

Ranko is a craftsman. I am an engineer and decent DIY guy, but a 58-year-old aluminum sliding patio door was a daunting puzzle. It had become extremely hard to slide over the years. I had done all the cleaning I could, even lifting the door off its track, but was afraid to damage it by further disassembly. Ranko had me text him a photo so he could determine the door type, then gave me a quote & a money-back success guarantee. He arrived on time 2 days later and in 2 hours completely rebuilt the door, including a track overlay and replacement rollers. His work was excellent. It was a pleasure to watch him work. read more

Our sliding glass door was so difficult to open that I was afraid we would hurt ourselves if we didn't get it fixed. I called American Sliding Door and had him fix it. Amazing! It slides easily now and is a pleasure to use. It's been three years and the door is still working like the day he fixed it. read more
