Susan was not only professional and reliable but she personally arranged delivery on our daughter's birthday but also followed up with the bedframe (which was available earlier than expected) and provided the credit she had offered two months earlier without my need yo do anything. Susan provided the best service I have ever received and I only had contact with her through the phone and text messages. I would give a higher rating than five stars if possible. I was quoted $386 and I told him I would dispose of the old carpet. Why did I end up paying $180 and $220??? I was told that taking up the carpet was not included. That was never explained to me over the phone. Yes, it was a few dollars, but that is not the point. It is the principle. Professionalism is what I expected from beginning to end. Not lateness without a phone call and no hidden fees. I am sure you will understand this review Gabe. I am sure you would not like this done to you either if you were the consumer.

I call again and again, shipping delays etc. etc. Haggled with the owner to give me some sort of discount, to which he finally agrees. In the end what was quoted as a 10 day project (from initial ordering to installation) turned out to be over a month long ordeal. To make matters worse, the receptionist 'Jordan' is completely unprofessional and beyond rude. She called less than 48 hours after the job was finally completed telling me I "still hadn't paid". I called her back to remind of how long I had to wait and that I would pay by the end of the week. Instead of apologizing for the delay, she yelled at me and proceeded to talk over me until I hung up on her. She tried to immediately call me back, which I obviously declined. She then left a message telling me I can't "disrespect her and that I can't talk to her that way" before placing me on a minute long hold...on my voicemail. Appalled is the only word I can use to describe the treatment I got from this business. I have told no less than 5 people to NEVER do business with this company and I hope 5,000 read this review. (Lynyrd Skynyrd) After we had our hardwood floors and steps sanded and refinished, we decided to pretty up those steps with a carpet runner, which explains why we visited Galaxy Discount Carpet Store today. That decision ended up being a FIVE STAR experience. Their two floor showroom is just incredible! Sample boards, rolls stacked on the floor in rows, area rugs hanging from the ceiling, gorgeous stuff everywhere. We met with Charlie and explained to him what we were looking for. He said that staircase runners can either be pre-manufactured in big rolls, or custom cut from carpeting meant for rooms. We knew we wanted a runner in some shade of gray to complement our wall color, and decided on a carpet runner to be cut from a big grayish roll and then finished with black binding along the edges, to complement the black stair rail and contrast with the white stair risers. It was installed 72 hours later, and that was pretty amazing in it's own right. Communication with Galaxy was great. Charlie was a dream to work with, the installers called us the day before install to confirm the date and time window, and the van with two workers arrived as scheduled mid-afternoon and did a neat professional job on the install. Charlie's price was $140 less than one we had from a flooring company out in our neck of the woods, and the carpet quality was better at Galaxy. Everything went well, and the stairs look great!

We scheduled a visit to measure and quote the room. It was an odd shape, so he gave some different options that would cover 90% vs the whole room. In the end it was only like $250 more to go with total coverage of the area. No pressure on the sale, either, more giving pros and cons for each option. Installation day the crew called to inform they were on the way. From start to end it was done in about 4 hours. Everything looked really sharp which is impressive given all the weird corners a New England concrete basement can have.
