I have to say first that the American Range that my wife and I have is the best range either one of us has ever cooked on. We both enjoy cooking and our American Range is a pleasure to use. That said, we had a small issue that we wanted to take care of... living in the mountains of Montana away from the city makes it necessary for us to do most of our equipment service ourselves. I needed help with this one so I contacted American Range Service and Guillermo Melendrez responded to my request. He requested a photo/video to help him understand what the problem. It took a couple of email exchanges where he sent me detailed instructions with photos showing me how to make the repair. He was responsive and patient during the entire process which ended with a successful repair. It was fantastic to work with a company that places such a high value on providing great customer service and hires knowledgeable staff like Guillermo to provide that service. Thanks again to Guillermo and to American Range. read more

A really good commercial grade rangetop for residential use, so why the 1 star rating? Because their customer service is non-existent. Kind of a moot point for consumers since they stopped selling to the residential market in 2025, but if I was a commercial buyer, I'd stay far away as well. I've contacted their customer service 3 times over the years to try to resolve issues; they completely ghosted me twice and gave me the wrong info another time. read more

Buyer beware, their residential products are cheap and inferior! They have major design flaws with cheap components and they just don't care. Happy to sell you new burners and igniters yearly though. We bought their double oven with propane gas and electric oven. Both products are inferior. Electric oven burns everything on the bottom or middle rack, even with a baking stone - takes 35 minutes to get to 350. The gas burner and igniter goes out every year, in less than a year! In our 75 mile radius all stores are no longer carrying their products due to poor quality read more

I've purchased the ARROB - 4482GR stove yup $12,000 Cdn. The valves on the burners work with precision, that's the good part. The large oven igniter fails on a yearly basis and the grill igniters about every couple years. After calling a service tech in the first time to replace the parts at $500-600 a crack, and watching them drag the stove out from the wall to get to the wiring to change to igniters out was too much. I've got to the point where I rent an air lift (works like a hovercraft) and do it myself. Still the parts aren't cheap. Truthfully for the price I expected a lot more from the design, would I recommend this..Nope. I had a Five Star range prior and no issues in 6 yrs read more

I've been dealing with this issue for almost a month. Our infinite switch broke off and the oven knob and was replace but broke again as the technician was still on our street leaving our home. Per Rafael at American Range instructions, the silver ring behind the knob "should" have been removed before it was installed even though the the technician was told that it was installed correctly. By not removing the ring it causes too much pressure on the knob which makes it breaks easily. Clearly this is not suppose to happen after spending $180 for one part. Rafael said he will do a (1) time customer courtesy replacement. He would not provide tracking information or ETA. I've had my stove for 14 years and I've never had any issues until now. Rafael was extremely RUDE and spoke to me as if I knew how to install this part. If/when my oven needs to be replaced just know I will NOT purchase another American Range. Customer service is horrible and that speaks volume of your corporation. After reading the other reviews, I see others are having issues with this company as well. read more

The worst appliance company in the world . Worst quality appliances specially the ovens very flimsy always breaking down super expensive parts . This company seems to make more money selling super expensive parts for their equipment than selling their products . Absolutely stay away from all American Range equipment you have been warned this is a very scrupulous company very shady practices . Horrible customer service all around horrible experience huge mistake buying their products will throw all their equipment in the garbage and invest in new reliable equipment. How these companies stay in business is beyond me Before you buy their products price out some parts do your research before you buy anything they are outrageous no conscious just so you can see what your dealing with . read more

I was sold a defective range and American Range will not take responsibility. I was offered a floor model at a discounted rate, 5%, and it was not disclosed that there were problems with the range. Upon arrival it was noted that the range was bulging on both sides and that the quality control inspection was never signed off. I contacted Customer Service and was maneuvered between various agents without resolving the matter. I asked for an exchange and there was no response. I even contacted Shane Demirjian, the President CEO of American Range, and he never replied. I have not used the range as using it would be accepting an item that arrived faulty. American Range has terrible customer service and has not accepted responsibility for selling a defective range. I am looking into this further with the Better Business Bureau and an attorney because they have obligations as vendors to sell effective products and remedy a matter if their product is defective, especially since quality control was not conducted prior to selling and shipping. read more

Super neat and clean! Their showrooms are huge and very impressive. A guy named Guillermo walked me through everything and helped me find the perfect thing for my church kitchen. They are a tad expensive but totally worth it and the moment you come in the front door, you feel how professional they are. Plus they have this really cool history wall that tells all about how they got started. It's a bit dated but it kind of works for a history piece -- Update: I came back to finalize which range I'm getting and figuring out how I'm going to get it fitted. They didn't initially have the exact thing I was looking for, but get this, the owner came down and brought the lead engineer with him to meet me! They offered to build me the exact thing i wanted with specs and gadgets to match all that I want! If you haven't checked them out, you should! They will literally make your life so much easier. If you are real picky like I am, they will work with you and hook you up! Only draw back... you'll have to pay for it. But even so, still cheaper than any other custom job, most others won't even do custom!!! read more

I want to thank you for the excellent technical service I received from Guillermo Melendre.  I love my American Range Oven; however, I have found getting a repair challenging with shelter in place orders.  Guillermo patiently helped me to identify the broken parts that I needed to order so we can minimize any back and forth with the repair person.  Guillermo graciously accepted my request to send him pictures to help in this process of troubleshooting.  It was a very effective way to quickly identify what I needed. As a pastry chef having a working oven is essential for me to deliver on bread orders.  He has working knowledge of your older oven AROFS230SS which I installed in 2012.  I truly think you have a valuable employee who helps to build brand loyalty and I know my next oven and stove will come from American Range. read more

When we decided to invest in new home oven 7 years ago, my wife insisted on top quality and long term appliance that is reliable and had consistently positive reviews. In comes American Range model ARR-530. Mind you, we do not own a bakery and use the oven 2 or 3 times a week for an hour. For the first 5 years it worked flawlessly but over the last two years, the igniter needed to be replaced 3 times! Our technician claims this is a known issue for the manufacturer and that it happens to many of his clients with similar ovens. Little did we know we were investing in an oven that had a shelf life of 5 years. I am reaching out to the company to see where they can help but am honestly disappointed that I need to deal with this time and again. read more

We have had our American Range 60" stove for about 6 years now and all I can say is "RUN" We may have gotten a lemon but what a piece of Garbage. In the time since it was delivered we have had this stove serviced at least 10 times. The ovens are extremely problematic. How can so many things go wrong on a stove that was over five figures. Our initial experience was so bad the dealer gave us a five year warranty complimentary but since it ran out we have already shelled out an additional $2000 in repairs. Would not wish this stove on my worst enemy read more

My American range is 2 years old and I'm on my second oven ignitor. This time around i ordered the part on May 5, its now May 22nd and still no sign of the ignitor. I just got of the phone with Angie. She told me the part shipped on the 21st but couldn't supply me with a tracking number. Her phone manner was horrible. She was snippy and very short with me. That aside, maybe she was having a bad day. The bigger issue here is I paid over $10,000 for this range and its already problematic . Looking at other reviews it appears I'm not the only one. I consciously purchased a product that was made in America. DISAPPOINTED. read more

DO NOT BUY a product made by American Range. They have no commitment to quality or customer service. I have purchased a high-end, professional American Range, ARROB-436GR. The range, upon its arrival, had significant rusting and other manufacturing defects. I have been in touch with American Range, talking to various managers - including a plant manager, VP of Sales, and finally reached out to the CEO, requesting the range to be replaced in the face of these defects - but they refused. It is especially unfortunate since their "commitment to quality and perfection" is stated on the website. It is simply not the case. read more

Fantastic 30" gas range. I bought it based on reviews *and* my very, very strong need to have a range that does not blow out hot air after being turned off. I live in the Sacramento area, which is a pretty hot place in the summer... and after leaving my range on nearly 600F for an hour or so, the last thing I want to feel and hear is hot air blowing out of it for a while after I turn the damn thing off. Turns out American Range products don't have any circuit boards (which could burn out at high temps), so they don't really need any forced cooling mechanism when turned off. I've had mine for 10 years and it has mostly worked great, with three complaints. 1) I'm a bit bummed that I'm now on my 3rd oven ignitor. The first one when out after about 6-7 years. I replaced the 2nd one around 6 months or so ago, and now I need another. And I believe my broiler ignitor is shot now, too. I wouldn't mind too much, but the ignitors are between $100-$130... 2) The oven is REALLY HOT (which is great for my pizza-making), but it is SO HOT that it has literally caused my adjacent kitchen cabinets (creamy white) to darken over time - and the wood closest to the oven has been singed - yes, actually singed by the heat. I'm really not afraid that my house is going to burn down... but I am concerned about how damaged my wood cabinetry will get over time. 3) The ignitors need to be ordered. I tried to find them in the Sacramento area - nope. Partstown didn't have them, either - so I had to order direct from American Range. That means I can't use my oven for several days while I wait for the ignitors to arrive. Service is great. Guillermo helped me today so much during my effort to diagnose my broiler and oven ignitor issues. And when I ordered the new ignitor, Angie shipped it immediately - same day. Nice! read more

Apparently, I am not the only American Range gas range owner with faulty ignitors. I purchased the range in March 2019, replaced the first ignitor in summer 2020 and another will be replacing the second ignitor soon (early February 2022). It's my firm belief that, perhaps, an ignitor should have a longer lifespan (than a pandemic, for instance) than 18 months or so. read more

American Range's wall oven was a perfect choice for us when we decided to update our kitchen. My wife has been baking up a storm since the last quarantine and we've been obsessed with our new toy. After having a series of gas valve issues with our prior drop in range top, we decided to get a replacement appliance. We ended up getting the American Range brand, five burner, Vittese model. The range top has performed as advertised, with strong adjustable flames, and superior cooking results. The range seamlessly fit into our existing opening without the need of a retrofit installation. We are extremely happy with this purchase, and feel as the American Range product provided the best price and value for a top end residentual range top. read more

I have been managing a home and broken AR oven for the past year- we had so many issues with the first oven, had it replaced, and then the second was a lemon also! 2 previous oven repair companies came out to fix the oven- with zero success and two refunded invoices. After having the oven replaced once already, American Range was able to come out and service the second "lemon oven", and fix it with success. Very grateful for the service that was done at no charge, even shortly after the warranty expired. I will continue to keep communication with them because of their loyalty and urge to fix the problem quickly. I work directly with the manufacturers of companies because they are always the ones primarily and truly concerned with customer service. Thank you American Range. read more

I bought a 4 foot and a 2 foot thermostatically controlled gas griddles. Spent a lot of money for what was to be premium premium units. these are far from premium i had Atosa in another restaurant which is a much less expensive griddle. the Atosa out preformed the American range. the American range their temps don't hold and their tech support sucks as well as their service venders. the only reason I went with American range is because they offered a larger griddle than the Atosa. I don't know about their residential products but stay away from their commercial units! read more

I was referred to American Range by my good friend who owns a restaurant. It is for my house but I cook quite a bit and make large batches of dog food for my animal rescue. I bought a house that had an American Range gas oven. The door hinges don't hold the door closed and American Range won't sell you replacement hinges, only a new door for over $1000. I have had my American Range 48" double oven for 5 years now. I love the configuration of the large and small ovens. It's reliable and wonderful to cook with, not to mention a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I looked at other top end brands and I'm very happy with my selection. I've even had my parents and my younger brother purchase them as well. In my primary home I have the traditional stainless range, but in our beach house I put a 36" 4 burner with a center griddle that is chrome and never stains or blackens. I also opted for a white skin to make it match the modern kitchen. It's beautiful and cooks like a dream! read more

Bought our dbbl oven in 2009 worked great! Then just before Christmas they said that there was a recall on our oven . The replaced the oven with the replacement oven . But try as mighty as possible to get the extended warranty transferred but we could not ( 200 dollars down the drain) Nothing but problems with new oven Now eight years later still dealing with the same ignition problems ! If I try to use the oven my house smells like gas and the only one side of oven heats up ,it never reaches operation temp . As of now the oven is not useable try to decide if I want to throw another 500 - 800 dollars at it American range during this whole ordeal was no help! My opinion is think twice before buying. Well there's good news American range came through with the correct parts for my oven. They set me up with Executive appliance service as the front office person Gina and their tech David Brennan and their installation crew all work together to solve my problem my oven is not working better than it ever has been and I am thankful to American Range and Executive appliance serviceis for helping me out read more

purchased an American Range propane gas range and an electric wall oven $$$$$ in 2012. The broiler in the range did not work initially. I had the igniter replaced and have been replacing that igniter every year since! I have also had to replace the heating element in the electric wall oven. The company gives me answers like wear & tear... but this is NOT NORMAL wear and tear. I know things are not built to last as they once were but this is ridiculous! As far as I'm concerned they DO NOT CARE once the product has left their facility. I posted he above review last fall 2017. UPDATE I'm doing research on a new range. The oven just went out... but the broiler still works. Anyone want the range? read more

We bought an American Range Performer series range about 5 years ago and absolutely love it. My wife cooks daily, and this unit has made life so much easier and more pleasant. We could never get the wok to sizzle with our old range, and the oven is amazing. We have owned two American ranges and have had excellent company service directly from the company. They actually answer the phone right away when you call. Nope. Never again. Two american Ranges, $6K then $7K. First one was awesome. This company does not care about private customers, only commercial ones. The oven cannot keep any consistent temperature, even on convection. I have burned almost everything I have tried to bake since it was installed. Had 2 service visits, still no fix. I should have looked at other ranges, but I loved my first one so much. Then I get a lemon and they don't seem to care. My bad - $7000 later read more

I have a 36" range, the first 3 years it worked well and I had no issues. The last 2 have been a different story. I have had to replace the ignitor in the oven 4 times. Each time it last less and less. I also have the electric wall oven. It looks so pretty, but takes 45 minutes to preheat. American Range said that is normal...my old $500 range used to preheat in under 10 minutes. Customer Service has been terrible. American Range not taking any responsibility. The issue is with the product and the manufacturer needs to help solve the issue. I have had 4 service calls on the range, each at $300 a pop. So these are beautiful appliances, but do not function as they should. I am at a loss of what to do as American Range is helpless. read more

Purchased two American Range units for our new Eatery. We ordered equipment through Bittners Restaurant Equipment, Vista California- One convection with 2 burners and a grill top and 1- 6 burner with a standard oven below. NIGHTMARE.. Neither have worked steadily since our June launch. The thermocouple literally goes out, meaning it moves slightly, which then doesn't allow the gas to come through, pilot does not engage, hence no heat, no oven. WE've had the gas company in 2-3 times a month (since last June) just to keep them working. Considering a restauranteur should not have to work like this (nobody should)- we forced the convection unit back on Bittners, they wouldn't give us a refund, but luckily we had an outstanding balance, so we declined to pay that balance in lieu of the faulty oven. Even though it was not an even trade, and we lost money, it was worth getting the faulty oven off our line. Now we have the standard unit, with the oven NEVER in use. Causing delays on our cooking line, longer ticket times, and when we are busy, pissed of customers. This really sucks, as a small family owned business, we can not simply run out and throw down a few grand on a new unit, and get rid of this one, and nor should we have too. We are FIGHTING with American Range to get this fixed. Literally jumping through hoops to try to get them to stand behind their product, have integrity within our commercial markets and support their customers that trusted them to begin with. If we acted like this as a business, I would BE OUT OF BUSINESS. How is it, a large corporation gets away with this kind of behavior. Honestly American Range, you should be ashamed of yourself. read more
