Super pleased with the job they did. Jim and his team were awesome and designed and installed a great backyard.

Very clean and although it's crowded, it doesn't feel overwhelming at all. The only downside for me…read moreis that outside food and drinks aren't allowed. But thankfully, there's a nice little cafeteria with affordable prices, okay for lunch or snacks. We'll definitely be back tomorrow! It's a great spot both for families with kids and for adults without children. There are slides, inflatable toys, and even an Olympic-size pool. There are plenty of lifeguards around, and one big plus for me: they play music! It really lifts the mood. We loved it!

First, I really think it is tacky on their part to charge a separate $4 fee for the obstacle course which requires a wristband. Especially given that you then have to queue up just for a turn. While it is a cool feature it is annoying that you have to oay an entrance fee then this additional fee. I suggest they Just up the fee a couple of bucks and let anyone use it. Gripe number two, the lifeguards. Bros... chillll the F out! While I admire and respect their commitment to safety, they are a bit overzealous in regards to their enforcement of the rules. I wonder if because there are so many of them that they need to find any little thing to jump on to but the vigor that they use to address even the most minor violation such as kids running or hanging on the swim lines is so out of proportion that it is a bit absurd. I can't help but mess with them a little bit just out of spite. Aside from the issues mentioned it is a pretty cool place with a variety of options (waterside and kiddie area) that make for a fun way to beat the heat.

Lifetime Folsom is not a gym... it's a full-blown civilization…read more Met a friend here for a workout, and since she's not a member, we had to do the whole guest pass process first. You know... the "tap here, sign here, acknowledge that squats may humble you today" routine. But I've got to give credit where it's due -- the front desk made it ridiculously easy. They were handling a phone call and getting my friend squared away at the same time, and somehow still made it all look smooth. No chaos, no confusion, no "uhhh let me get my manager." Just straight-up professionalism. The second we walked in, she looked around and said, "Is this a city or a gym?" I said, "Honestly... both." Because Lifetime Folsom is not for the weak or the directionally challenged. This place has everything. Pool, spa, cafe, workout floors, recovery zones, pickleball, tennis, locker rooms that feel fancier than some apartments... at one point I'm pretty sure if you turn the wrong corner you accidentally enroll in a wellness retreat. And my favorite part? The confidence people have before a workout. She came out of the locker room with that movie trailer energy like, "Alright, let's do this." Looking at me like, "Bring it." And I did. I coached her through the workout, and for the first 20 minutes she was hanging in there strong. Then somewhere around that 1 hour and 30 minute mark, the spirit left the body. By the end, the look had changed from "I got this" to "I would like to formally unsubscribe." And honestly? Respect. Because the workout was solid. We laughed the whole time, had great conversation, and got after it. That's what I love about Lifetime -- whether you're going hard or just trying to survive the stair climber without seeing your ancestors, it somehow still feels fun. After we wrapped up, we grabbed our stuff and headed to the cafe because recovery was no longer optional. She needed a pick-me-up, and honestly, probably a new set of legs. We grabbed shakes, sat down, and started coming back to life. Then out of nowhere she goes, "Ummm... tacos?" And I looked at her like she had just spoken the Lord's language and said, "Yes." Then she hits me with, "I got the spot. Follow me." Now THAT is elite leadership. So basically this place gave us: a killer workout, laughs, smoothies, and the launching point for Taco Tuesday. What more do you want from a gym? A zip code? Actually... Lifetime might already have one. In all, Lifetime Folsom continues to prove it's way more than just a gym. It's an experience. It's a fitness amusement park. It's where confidence goes to get tested and where post-workout taco plans are born. And honestly... that's beautiful.

I regret not being able to fulfill the 3 day (verbal agreement) free trial, as I was recommended to go else where/denied service for seeking to grieve some concerns or complaints (with that of Freedom of Speech but without slander, as such was in my opinions). But, been at the other gym for a couple of months and doing okay, it's getting a little more busy now. But still a spacious/clean gym with great amenties for such a great price, even points are given when I check into to get discounts or freebies as a smoothie at the juice bar. Been meaning to do rock climbing but did use the Jacuzzi/pool and looking forward to using there indoor courts and even recently been getting a tan with also a chair massage and then will be trying to be more active in there group classes that focuss on a variety of things. The outside B.B.Q. for socials with outside work out strongman station and dip bar then a punching bag with chin up bars are a nice extra too.

After relocating to…read moreSacramento CA from NYC and then AZ I was highly disappointed in the gyms in Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and Roseville. Then I found In Shape in Folsom and felt like I found my gym... finally. Things I look for in a gym are: Punching bags (there's 2 one outside and one inside) the inside one has been removed the last few days... I hope they fix it. I also look for a steam room and sauna, and of course a pool. I also love that they have a smoothie bar with great ingredient options which are fairly priced.

You have accomplished what decades of New Year's resolutions could not: you've made me less excited to come to the gym. The rich maroon and blue walls gave this place personality. They made it feel energetic, comfortable, and welcoming. Now I walk in expecting someone to hand me a clipboard, ask for my insurance card, and tell me the MRI machine is down the hall. Did someone lose a bet? Was there a clearance sale on "Corporate Beige Despair?" Did a committee gather around paint swatches and unanimously declare, "Let's remove every ounce of warmth from the building"? This gym has always been one of the reasons I've stayed a member for years. It had character. It felt alive. Now it feels like the waiting room where enthusiasm goes to die. Whoever approved this color scheme owes the old walls a formal apology. Please. Bring back the warmth. My muscles don't mind the workout, but my eyeballs are filing a grievance.
