The park has two play structures, swings, and even an obstacle course structure. My kids really enjoyed the three story tower with three different slides. Looked a little intimidating but kids are fearless. There's a generous amount of grass area for activities and a full basketball court. Parking wasn't a problem for us but there isn't a parking lot. There's no restrooms so plan accordingly.

Our visit was in July 2025 to this cute Fair Oaks park within a small neighborhood. The park has a…read moresmall splash pad, and two playgrounds one for younger and older children. My granddaughter who is 8, loved the splash pad & the younger kids playground. The park is not gated and is adjacent to a walking path. Be careful if you have a little runner. The splash pad has a high water bucket dumping water in different directions. There was only one working water spout for the little kids when we came and the frog sprays water but you have to click the yellow button on the blue pole to make it work once it turns off. The older kids playground she loved the round rope swings but did get rope scrapes on back of both legs from swinging on them so be careful. Next time will use a towel under her legs. The big net play structure is fun if you want to just climb around but to get to the slides there is a big gap between the net structures that you have to go past in order to work your way across the rope bridge then to the slide. She was disappointed she couldn't get over to slides as a big gap she couldn't reach other side safely. Really wish there were rope stairs going straight up to slide area so kids can play on slide that can't do rope structure. The younger kids playground was nice. Multiple climbing structures that included a slide, rope hammock, a turning swing type activity. Parking is along the street only. Park has Drinking fountains and clean bathrooms. There are two picnic table areas. One down by the playgrounds and another by the splash pad.

Kids going down the slides could get burned- recommend putting up shade to avoid future liability issues. Overall a beautiful park w a good amt of shade, multiple parking lots and multiple picnic areas. Too far for us to come regularly but likely coming back for the train ride during holidays when I think they usually have a Santa there. (You need advance tix for this)

A few chairs are available for owners, plus a little swimming pool filled with water for the dogs. The grass and shade trees make it extra inviting. It's clear this park is very well cared for.

Although I didn't see a bathroom but there might be I just wasn't looking for one. I did see a homeless man where the picnic tables were. Just keep a close eye on your children. LOCATION & ATMOSPHERE:  Across from the river access point on Mira Del Rio Drive. Spacious open setup with trees lining the boundary and an open field large enough to play fetch with any size dog. AMENITIES: -Large open field -Picnic tables -Tennis court with 2 nets -Basketball court with 2 goals -2 jungle gyms -Swing set with adult and toddler seats -Standalone book exchange -multiple trash cans -Sidewalks circling the interior of the park and leaving from one side to the other to separate entrances EXPERIENCE:  I love coming to this park. I walk my dog here daily and she has plenty of friends to play with and that huge open field. The neighbors are friendly and the families are fun. The kids are well behaved and there's so much to do and so much space at the park You can say hey passing by or avoid people all together just by choosing a direction to walk in. The park is well maintained by the recreational crew from the state. They come out in and pick up fallen debris from trees, and replace and replant trees. The trash cans are always emptied and there isn't a lot of trash around the park anyway. Randomly I'll see a plate or a can, but looks pretty pristine on the regular. The park is green year round and most of the trees maintain their leaves. The ones that do drop their leaves present the most beautiful fall colors. Making snow, I mean leaf angels is movie-like. The sidewalks that lead around the interior of the park wrapping the tennis court and leading from one side to the other are quite large. I'd say they were about three people wide if not for. You can walk with two people side by side and someone riding a bike past without any worry. Definitely an amenity of the neighborhood that is underrated and overlooked! Only true downfall is that this park doesn't have a bathroom. Could be five stars with that addition, but it's hard to stay here for a long period of time without the ability to relieve oneself.

This lovely park is 1.5 acre in size and is located within the Capital Village Development. Large grassy area for multi-purpose use, one half basketball court with benches, a play structure for younger kids with slides , swings, and climbing structures . A play structure for older kids too with slides and climbing structures as well. Picnic area with shaded picnic tables. Paved walkways throughout the park surrounded by beautiful shade trees. Park hours are sunrise to sunset. Drink fountain is also available. A park that would make any neighborhood proud !
