I was able to walk in for a pedicure without problems. It appeared clean and well kept and smelled nice. I opted for the signature pedicure ($42) but was so underwhelmed and should've just gotten the basic ($32). The one I chose should've had a 10 minute hot lotion massage. There was no hot lotion nor 10 mins for massage. She nicked by skin multiple times with the electronic buffer she was using. The whole pedicure lasted about 25/30 mins and she left without helping with shoes. I sat for about 15 mins and then was yelled at by another worker for tapping my toes to see if they were finished. They also add $2 for a service charge. It was nice they talk walk ins and maintain their space but I won't return. read more

They did both my manicure and pedicure while I was sitting in the pedicure chair, which was extremely uncomfortable, and I wasn't really allowed to adjust positions without being told not to move. The pedicure experience was especially unpleasant. Instead of properly clipping my cuticles, the technician yanked at them, and she would physically pull or bang on my legs without asking or communicating with me first. There was very little professionalism or basic courtesy. The manicure itself turned out okay, but the overall experience was uncomfortable from start to finish. I was surrounded by loud conversations in English by the technicians that felt inappropriate for a professional environment, and I was repeatedly told to "close my eyes" or sharply told "no" whenever I moved or couldn't fully relax fingers. After breaking both my arms in an automotive accident a couple of weeks ago, one of the more minor inconveniences is the inability to clip my nails, because my arms aren't strong enough. It's the kind of thing that is weird to ask a friend for help with. Therefore, I figured I'd just consult a professional, and get a manicure done. This place is in the same shopping center is T.J. Maxx, so it seemed like a win. Now, I wish I had gone somewhere else. I explained the situation to the woman at the front desk, who pointed me to where I should sit down. The lady that came over to work on my nails couldn't understand English at all, with the exception of "hurt?" and "no hurt?". I don't need to have an elaborate conversation with the manicurist, but I would like to be able to express my preferences and expect to be understood. Instead, if I said anything, she didn't generally look up. For some reason, my nails are now very square and uneven. It seems like I just wanted the most basic thing done, and after that service was over, I seriously thought about going to a different salon to have it done right. I should have done basic. she did not do anything really listed in that one it included a 10 minute leg massage. Not given. I was there when the first opened so no rush. but she rushed. I have paint on my skin and she did not try to clean up my toes and did not scrub or cut the extra skin. I have ugly feet I know this but with a good pedicure the look decent. Upon entering salon, the nail technician Tina greeted me, barely lifting her head or a simple smile. She did not say hello or welcome to our salon. Another tech appeared, she was friendly and asked me to sign in and pick a color. Throughout the entire process Tina did not smile or engage in any conversation with me. She was having difficulty operating the whirlpool, didn't say excuse me while I consult with my coworker. After draining the foot soak, she started to clean the tub, while my feet were still inside. It would have been nice to say, please remove your feet , while I clean the tub. Tina did an good job on the pedicure. Tips for the staff, Clean after finishing with the customer. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My Mom & I visited 7-11-24. I should have known from the minute we walked in that it wasn't going to go well. When we walked in we were looked at like we were not welcome at all. All of the employees looked at one another and instantly started speaking in their language which was very clear that they were talking about us. Can't help but to assume that's it because we were African American. We were severely rushed and treated poorly. Not even given a moment to choose a color. And when we slightly changed our mind about the color we were lied to and told that the color was almost out. they had one person on our nails and the other person on the pedicure chair at the same time. It was painful and half done. Of course they continued to talk amongst their self clearly Talking about us again. The only place they didn't fail was charging us full price for half ass service and terrible customer service. I went for a pedicure a week ago tomorrow ( Thursday May 19,2022.) I noticed that the floor was very dirty, needed sweeping and mopping. There was a lady in a chair also getting a pedi and one of the employees started fussing very loudly at her for not telling them she had an appointment with a certain person. She kept on and on fussing at the customer and the whole room could hear her. It was embarrassing for all, especially the customer receiving the "dressing down". I didn't have nail polish put on... BUT I did have my SNS removed and I believe I have found a salon that actually removes it properly, with lots of patience. My nails were soaked until all was removed and then filed with just a block (no drill). Next time I go I will get a pedicure to see how that goes, and then a nail treatment. I recently went here for the first time because I wanted to get a pedicure and gel manicure to treat myself on Valentine's Day. Big mistake. It was absolutely horrible. During my signature pedicure, the technician was very rough with my cuticles causing the side of my big toe to hurt and start bleeding really badly. She continued to cut them even after I said it hurt and pointed out the obvious--that I was bleeding. During my pedicure, another technician worked on my manicure where I also got cut yet again on my cuticle. I had to tell him to just push down the cuticles on the other hand because it hurt so badly. My toe would not stop bleeding to the point where she couldn't even paint it and had to put a bandaid only after I requested one. It bled even after I left the salon. What a great pedicure with only 9 toes painted. All she said was sorry and made it seem that I was overreacting. The gel manicure looked okay, I didn't really have any complaints. However, three days later it started coming up on the sides and looks terrible. The icing on the cake was when I was only discounted $5 after my bad experience. It would have been nice for them to at least charge me for the cheapest pedicure if they were expecting me to pay seeing as I was clearly upset and in pain. read more

California girl on her first trip to the south. I broke a nail so my boyfriends friend recommended this salon. Well. It's certainly not California quality but the manicure's finished product was decent. The nail technician and the procedure she followed leaves much to be desired. Gel selection is decent, but not a lot of glitter gel colors available. They used an acetone soak, not wraps to get my old gel manicure off so my fingers were (and still feel) really dry. The nail technician working on my nails did not understand what rounded nails meant. I had to go back and re-shape my nails. She also did not buff properly and left many rough spots so I had to go back and redo all that myself too. Thank god I don't live here, I would go crazy if this was a regular occurrence. Also it is SO EXPENSIVE. $36 for a gel manicure are you kidding me? It's $20 at my local salon. Sigh. Beggars can't be choosers I guess. read more

I have been going to this place with my mom since I was 13 years old. I am now almost 22 and decided to go back with her since it's been a while since the last time we've been there. we had an appointment at 3:30 but ended up actually being seated around 4:20 which isn't too bad just a little frustrating. i normally get acrylic nails, and when i asked for acrylic, julie the main nail lady was basically yelling and bashing me because she said they only do acrylic nails on wednesday- how am i supposed to know that mam?? it's no where i'm your website- nobody specified over the phone that information either so I'm just supposed to walk in knowing that? every other second she would say something uber her breath or turn to her other coworker and say something clearly aggravated at me for wanting their business? so I finally get SNS done and they are so lumpy and two of my fingers are completely crooked:( it looks like a beginner nail tech did them for the first time. normally I wouldn't even be leaving a bad review like this because I get it not everyone knows how to do acrylic nail or designs but the fact that Julie was talking down to me and even yelled at me at one point in front of other customers for literally just wanting acrylic nails done it's completely unprofessional and she shouldn't be talking to customers like that. I came in wanting a black and white design and I left with bright pink and white nails and even silver in them... it's completely not what I asked for and they charged me $80 for them. when Julie was putting the pink on she was like oh how are these? literally all I replied was oh what about the white because we did finally end up on a completely different design after going through multiple and her telling me no to pick another one-but she yelled at me and said "THE DESIGN IS AFTER" so rudely i seriously just wanted to walk out and leave but my nails we're already half way done. and of course two walk ins come in after us and they get them seated right away? but i had to wait for horrible service and really bad nails after i made an appointment and waited an hour. stay away from here unless you're a white old lady who just likes getting one color on your nails read more

They over charge and every time there is a different price (for the same service) and ALWAYS a reason why they have to add on another $5 or so. I had an extremely bad experience today at this place. During my pedicure, the nail technician cut my cuticle so badly that it was hard to get the side of my toe to stop bleeding. Almost 6 hours later, you can still see blood on the side of my toe. I HATE when I get cut during a mani or pedi, but was willing to forgive until I walked out and realized that the gel French manicure was already peeling off on my thumb! I gave this place two tries. The first time, the pedicure was not very good. Very fast. They wanted to sell me something - only for $1 - I declined, but they charged me anyway. I feel bad leaving a negative review, but I feel obligated to warn people about this place. This was the worst experience I have had at a nail salon. I went in for a gel manicure and left with a mediocre manicure and three bleeding fingers. I'm now worried that my cuticles are infected and I will probably have to go to the doctor. The technician even sneezed on her hand and then continued perform the manicure without washing her hands or using gloves. So gross! To add insult to literal injury, the technician told me several times during the manicure that my upper lip hair was very long and I should let her wax it off. I'm so glad I didn't let this woman or hot wax anywhere near my face. There are lots of nail salons in Winston, you can certainly find better. I will never go back. read more

I went to this salon for a gel manicure because I had gotten a gift certificate for my birthday. I didn't have an appointment, but I didn't have to wait at all, which was great. The manicure itself was fine--not the best I've had, but not the worst either. However what really made the experience awful was the behavior of my nail technician, who coughed into her hands continuously during my manicure and then just continued working, which really grossed me out! She also kept pushing other services on me while she was working, which I didn't appreciate. Finally, when I went to pay the remainder of my bill, I tried to give her a credit card, but she saw that I had cash in my wallet and insisted I pay cash!! You have to make an appointment and they ask you to spend $1 extra on your first visit for your own file and cube thing but I keep them in my car so that when I return I do to repurchase. I have used this nail salon for several years both with this owner and the previous owner. The current owner made some very nice changes and it appears to be much better maintained and cleaner. The technicians are thorough and kind and provide fairly consistent quality of work. I, of course, have my favorite tech and always request an appointment with her. I typically go to a different salon, but this place is within walking distance from my work and I had extra time at lunch so decided to give it a try. I will not be back. First, I don't like the acetone soak they do to remove the polish. It makes my hands feel dry and it's uncomfortable, but forgivable. every time I've ever had SNS they've put a clean base on before the color, she did not do that, so that was my first red flag. The cut my cuticle (not in a good way) when trimming them. Second red flag. The final product was awful. The color is not evenly distributed on my nails, so I have light spots, there is a random blue dot on my ring fingernail.. not even sure where that came from, the polish looks pitted like the brush she was using for the top coat was old, and to add insult to injury she left some of the SNS attached to several to my fingers.
