I live in Los Angeles but I was here in the Henderson area visiting g my parents. My feet were long overdue for a pedicure. Like, almost 2 months overdue and I couldn't wait anymore because my big toes on both feet were starting to hurt due to ingrown nail on both. My nail lady back in Los Angeles did an ok job, but I was really never fully satisfied on how she took care of my two ingrown toenails. So, while visiting my parents, my husband suggested we take my mom to get a pedicure. We wanted something close since it was late afternoon Sunday and salons around here are either closed or will be closing at 5pm. After a quick search and reading reviews, I made an appointment at American Nails without any issues. Luckily they had space to take us. The nail salon is in a medium to large strip mall with plenty of parking space in front and around. The salon was noticeably clean upon walking in, they directed us to picking our colors, then sat us in our spa chairs as we looked at their pedicure menu. I picked the basic pedicure which is the standard anywhere...no sugar salt scrub, hot towels etc., because I was going to get gel polish which always bumps up the price. The basic is $35 and with gel polish it's $55. Which is about the same that I pay in Los Angeles. I really really enjoyed my pedicure. I was so impressed with how well she addressed and focused her time on working on my ingrown toenails. She even checked all my other toenails. She cleaned under and around really well and also did an amazing job on my cuticles. That's when I realized my nail lady back in LA, really wasn't that great after all and not just because she didn't do a good job on my two ingrown toenails. My mom was just as happy with her pedicure as well. When we first got here, it was just two ladies. One was holder than the other one and spoke better and less shy. I think she is the owner and the lady that did my mom's pedicure. Unfortunately, I forgot both their names and I'm sorry about that but I'm terrible with names. The older lady, that didn't speak english as good but she understood English well, was the lady that gave me the best pedicure I've had in probably 6 years. Sad, but true. After our pedicures were done, my mom decided to get a manicure and the lady that gave me my pedicure gave my mom her manicure. My mom was extremely satisfied she said. We came out of the nail salon very happy to have picked this spot and my mom said this will be her new nail salon that she goes to out here. And I, will come back here every time I'm here in town visiting my mom. Did I mention how sweet these two ladies are? They were very sweet, courteous and considerate of your feelings/insecurities of your nails, unlike lots of places I've been to. Don't get me wrong, they still speak in their native language between themselves, they just weren't rude and it's not like they would talk in their language as soon as you request something or point out something like as if they were talking about you because they didn't like what you said or requested. They were also very social, made suggestions and were willing to give a quick solution to something like when I thought my chosen color to be a little too blue instead of green like my moms was but her polish was regular, versus mine was the gel version of the same color (she offered to use a different similar color for the second coat to fix it being too blue, which worked out perfectly). During this COVID year, I purposely try out smaller businesses because let's face it, it's tough times out there and everyone's doing their best. I know there have been a handful of bigger and fancier nail salons crop up around the city, but sometimes it feels good to support the simple mom and pop shops. The man I spoke to on the phone quoted me $40 for a regular mani/pedi, but I opted to get gels on my hands, so it became $60 total. Not too bad considering a lot of nail salons have increased their prices lately. I forgot the woman's name, but she did a great job and would periodically take the time to ask if I was okay. My favorite part would have to be the pedicure -- sugar scrub and hot stones were included, super relaxing. The massage feature on the chair wasn't working, so unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy that part. I was probably there for a little less than 2 hours and no one else came in. I literally had the whole salon to myself, which was kind of sad, but peaceful. It's been about two weeks and my nails have held up nicely. I'll be back! read more

I was disheartened when I found out she has been getting slow business and only works by herself due to the lack of traffic. I would hate to see her go through any hardship. My first time experience here was amazing! I called to see if I could get an appointment, and they weren't able to get me in until 1. I was on a time crunch since my baby was being watched by my sister. They took the time to call me back & even texted since i didn't answer the call & was able to get me in by 1045! Super appreciated that. Ha did my dip nails and she was the sweetest!! Super patient with me since i didn't know what kind of design i wanted & even gave me her opinions since my nails were too short at the moment. Loved how my nails turned out! I called before i came in. Early like 11:10 Am on a Saturday. I was the only customer in the whole time. My first impression was the relaxing music and relaxing smell. I was asked to choose a color and where it's places is kind of weird or odd i should say. I could tell from looking at the polishes ( regular polish ) i was just going to have to go with a simple pedicure. The pricing is hand written above the polish neatly and when i asked for something specific he made sure i knew how much the price was, so i was happy about that. My water was not hot at all, but the lady quickly fixed that ( i like her by the way and I'm sure I'll come back, i say that before I'm even done lol ) she really took her time with my pedicure and made sure i was relaxed which was beautiful. She even complimented my feet which made me feel really good. The guy he was funny and nice. He's actually finishing up my feet right now. The polish i chose i don't think it had much left so they added what i THINK was acetone. He is also taking his time with his brush making sure everything is perfect and there is no polish on the skin, making it look really neat. They offered me water twice which is nice as well. I just love feeling pampered even though it's a small gesture. The inside is nice. Nothing fancy. I see a sign that says $80 for lashes and $35 for the fill in, but appointments only. The chair is pretty comfy, but not the best. The massage i didn't like at first, but it got so much better. I think the reason for 4 stars is because i really liked the woman who did my feet & i can tell she was trying to give me a great experience. She took care of me. I wish she would have scrubbed my feet harder and maybe just a tad bit longer but it felt good when she put the hot stones on which i think she did as a courtesy. I love the way she shaped my toes though. If i come back next time I'll probably just bring my own polish. I hope later in the day it's more people as well. I may come back to get my nails done. I'll update my review with pictures of how it is a few days or weeks after. read more

My cuticles are everywhere and my polish isn't even. I told the girl I had cuticles around my nails and she said "it's ok" She could've put cuticle softener and then soaked. Instead she drilled my nails and the skin around my nail. Then she puts the smallest amount of cuticle oil and a tiny drop of cheep lotion on my hands. Today I went in for a gel pedicure and I tried the CBD infused pedicure. The pedicure consists of five different packets of CBD product which is used while soaking the feet as well as in different parts of the pedicure. My legs were massaged with CBD lotion, mask, exfoliants and a CBD serum. The serum and lotions are applied with massage and ends with a hot stone massage as well as a paraffin wax for the feet. Last minute trip to Vegas and I didn't have my nails done. Found this shop on Yelp was able to book an appointment for 2 immediately. What a pleasure this salon was! A very nice gentleman gave me a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure- I think his name was Khao. He had wonderful customer service, did an excellent job and was so thoughtful and meticulous. Not usually in this area but saw a sign saying this place was re-opening under new management and had promotions so I thought why not give it a go. They've been open for about two weeks and I've been there twice now... first time just for a gel pedicure and now hard gel on my nails (Anna did them both times). I was SO happy I had to share. I like to keep my nails pretty natural and clean but it feels like that's so hard to come across at nail salons. They can never get the shape right and the "natural" never looked all that natural. Haven't heard of hard gel before but Anna suggested it since I asked for a natural look but something durable. Nothing really lasts on my nails longer than a week I've tried dip, acrylic, and normal gel. It's been a few days and we're still going strong! Let me start this by saying i enjoyed Ha! She was talented, sweet and kudos to her! My problem with this salon is that i have had 2 appointments, 2 separate times. The first time, they started my nails, then walked away for 15 minutes to start a walk in. I didn't want judge based on one incident, so I made an appointment for 11:30 today. I was a few minutes early. I have been taught to be punctual and respectful of people's time. I was immediately led to a pedicure chair with scalding water and sat there for 42 minutes. I asked when i would be seen because i had other errands I had to do and saw that this caused confusion. I left with nothing done. Time is the most valuable thing anyone has and for a business to be so disrespectful after i made anappointment is a deal breaker for me. I would rather walk around with feet that look like Shrek thanwaste my time like that again. Epic fail and wasteof my only day off. read more
