i just moved here from colorado and ive never been to a nail shop in cheyenne. i went in yesterday i do like the nails that i got but i had a COMPLETELY different look i wanted and she picked the price of 120$ because i wanted gems on both my ring and my middle finger. i had to pay 90$!!!!!!!! just for the black french tips. one other thing is a couple of my nails look a little outgrown. but the lady that did my nails was nice we didnt really talk much but she did rush my nails at the end because someone that regularly comes in was after me... the second picture is what i wanted but was going to be 120$... also now reading these reviews it makes me a little mad that i was charged 90$ for these when a lot of different people were charged 60-70$ for simple nails like i got. read more

Coming from New York where we have amazing nail techs I went to several places out here in Chyoming that didn't do as well as New Yorkers then found American Nails leaving Walmart. My first visit to Cheyenne, Wyoming and this place has to be the worst I've been to. Service was confusing, the young man that did our nails was aggressive and kept giving me an attitude as if I'm not about to pay him for his services. My sister in law next to me had the same experience and was extremely unsatisfied. The vibe felt like we were a burden for coming into their pretty empty shop. Where to start. This is my first nail experience in Cheyenne and the expectations are set very low after coming here. Read the reviews. I didn't it would've saved me trouble. 1 star for taking me short notice -5 for being told my skin color on my nail bed was dark that's why the polish job was horrible. Then proceeds to talk in their language Im sure not saying pleasant things because I refuse to accept poor quality after paying. pathetic Mind you my nail bed is pink/white just like the average person.picture of my nails inserted for reference.. The last two times I have came home with cuts on just about every finger from the filing board and nail polish on the sides of my fingers. I've never been to a salon where they are so rude. I always try to create conversation but I'm basically given a one word answer. I'm scolded for not holding my fingers correctly. Other people come in and she very nice and chatty. If you're looking for a relaxing pedicure, this is NOT. The place. Everything is rushed and quality is minimum. I paid for a more expensive pedicure and don't even think I got everything done that was supposed too. Left a small tip because I was not happy with the work done and got a pretty crappy look because of it. Also saw multiple women come in for scheduled appointments and watched them be sent away because the people were prioritizing their walk ins over scheduled people... which from my view I would be extremely upset about. Not even sure why I'm giving 1 star as I had a nail break not even a day later, the shape was very mid, polish was uneven, and like I stated... pedicure was rushed and the most non relaxing pedicure I've ever experienced. read more

We called ahead to make an appointment and when we got there we had to wait at most five minutes and they sat us all together which was the first place that had ever done that. The review you need to read. If I could give no stars I would. I have gone to this salon a total of 3 separate times and all 3 times I've had a terrible experience. The first time I went was for a mani (full set with basic color) and a pedi the pedi was not as listed on their price booklet. And they used regular hand soap when doing my pedicure. The mani was rough but I didn't complain she did an okay job the shape was fine but everything else was rough. I paid 100+ dollars for an half baked experience. The second time I went I got a fill in and a color change my fill in was less than .5 cm she was very rough with me and customer service was terrible. For a color change and a fill in she charged me 65 dollars. The third and final time I went in she took off my previous set was rude and rough as expected previously. And did a dip set on my nails. Which she also charged me 65 dollars She also took no care into making sure the polish was layered evenly. And she didn't care to file my nails properly. All of my nails are uneven and some are even slanted the polish job left me with polish on the edges of my fingers if I wanted an unprofessional job I would have done them myself and ended up with the same results. I have tried to give this salon multiple chances to prove that they were worth a shot but 3rd time is the charm. They do not have the price books available which means they can, they will and they have been charging us for what they think is necessary and not the actual price for the services we are requesting. This shop is ALWAYS EMPTY and it it makes sense why. The owner is very rude and unprofessional and no longer cares about the service she provides. I wish I had a photo of my nails to show but I was so angry I drove to another city where I KNEW they would do a great job without second guessing. Also, I have friends who have gone to this salon because of their consistent availability due to lack of customers and they treated them the exact same way to include children. I would not recommend! Go to another local shop that looks busy and book an appointment ahead of time or just go to Fort Collins. I've tried every nail salon in Cheyenne and this place ranks number 1 on the TRASH list. Worst pedicure I have ever had! We came in, had an appt. for 3 pedicures. They raced thru them and did not say anything to us other than directions where to put our feet. I doubt that the gentleman that did my pedicure went to a school to learn the trade. They totally lacked customer service and friendliness and none of us will ever go back. My 9 year old daughter was getting her nails done by an older man next to me. He was very rough with how he placed her fingers. I wish I could give no stars. Honestly I keep getting disappointed by them and gave them another chance today and that's the last time. They rush, and are very rude. She spent no time on anything else, cuticles or the massage part. My nails are not even shaped the same at all. I have some rounded, some sharp, some square..they look bad. When she was done with one hand she would just push it away in the most offensive way. They move from person to person so you just end up sitting around waiting for them to come back to you. Furthest thing from a relaxing manicure that I am looking for. When we were finished, and apparently not moving fast enough he came and said go pay, go pay. This is the worst nail salon I have ever had the displeasure of getting my nails messed up because I did not get them done I got them ruined. Katie was the rudest "nail tech" and I use that term loosely. I know Cheyenne hasn't caught up with the latest trends and people are still getting flared white tips like its 2011. However, I showed Katie a picture of chrome nails with gel polish and she said she could do my nails like the picture. She also had the audacity to charge me $75 for doing an awful job. I don't mind spending money on a job well done but I do have a problem with walking out with nails that look like stevie wonder did them. All I wanted was a refund not for her to touch my nails again since she didn't know what she was doing the first time. She argued with me about the prices, which I wasn't disputing what I was disputing was the bumpy nail polish and uneven nail shape and how it was worth $75. Another customer chimes in obviously a fan of Katie's work , because she looked like she still wore flared jeans and peasant tops from Maurice's. Anyway after making a scene Katie finally gave me $22 back, which still in my eyes isn't enough. I desperately needed a pedicure while out of town. Family suggested this place and I was not disappointed!! They were quick to help us get colors and get started! They took their time doing the massaging and the paint job was good too. Pricing was about the same as home but the personality's were super! I ended up messing up one nail trying to get my shoe on. Went to American Nail on Grandview, received a pedicure service from a rude guy who was jerking my foot around because I couldn't understand what he was saying on how to place my foot. He didn't ask if I wanted any extra service, was talking on his cell phone, made me feel as if I was inconveniencing him. This is not my normal nail place, but I went because I had this gift certificate to use (I received long ago). When I presented this gift certificate I was told, they wouldn't accept it because it was from the previous owner. There is no expiration date anywhere on this gift certificate. Bad customer service from the main technicians ... Kudos to the older gentleman who put water in the pedicure tub, & gently put my sandals on to not disturb the paint - thank you for your kindness & great warm smile. Too bad he wasn't a technician.
