I have noticed that it's mainly just her and the owner who engage in this behavior. That's really uncomfortable because I don't like feeling that I may run afoul of their sensibilities or do something they perceive as rude to them and they might gossip about me. Well I got my turn. After being a loyal customer for almost two years, I apparently stepped in it. This last time she did my nails one of the finger nail's polish lifted that evening and so I peeled it off because it was snagging on everything and bugging me. I tried to get a hold of her to ask if she could fit me in to correct it but I couldn't reach her. I texted her three or so times. So I decided to just show up in person the next day to see if she could fix it. She was out. So I asked politely if anybody else would be able to fix it. I had no idea that was "rude." The owner rather curtly told me she was too busy, which I get. I know they are very busy so I didn't get my feelings hurt. But I did turn to the other tech and see if she had time. She looked at it and said she could help me if I came back in like 30 minutes. I was very happy with that and I did and she did a great job. Took all of five -seven minutes and I gave her a little tip for her efforts and left. All good, right? Wrong. Later I get a snippy text from my nail tech basically chewing me out for not using the correct number to get in touch with her (she has two) and for putting her in an awkward position with her coworkers. Apparently, she was told I acted huffy? I was like, wait a minute...I didn't act huffy. If anyone was huffy it was the owner. I was so confused by that. I was like, don't you all kind of help each other out from time to time? That is certainly how it works in most establishments. I thought this was pretty petty, to be honest, but now I know she likely complained about me to another customer. And that's just when I realized I don't want this negative energy in my life. Additionally, she has quite often reschedules our appts due to family emergencies. I am not complaining about having to put up with accommodating a family emergency or even a few- but she has them often. I chalk this up to her offering and me buying a one year subscription from her over Christmas so I could get my nails done twice a week including nail art for a whole year. Well, I think she sees me as a time sink for her as she is not making any money but tips from me, since I paid up front. So I wouldn't recommend ever making the mistake of buying one of her subscriptions again. Or gift certificate or whatever they are. You will likely get treated like I did. If you want to feel valued, pampered or want a positive atmosphere- this place ain't it. Go somewhere else. Here you get grumpiness and bad attitudes. I cannot recommend this place due to that. It should tell you so much that I'd rather give up my next six months of my paid subscription than keep going back to a place that treats me with contempt. One star because the place is clean. Another star for the coworkers who stepped up the two times I have ever needed anything extra that my nail tech could not do. Last star is because when she does my nails they are almost always perfect and lovely.

I've been happy with the quality of the few pedicures I've had here. I'm still looking for other nail salons that i can try out, so I'm not 100% sold on this place. I wasn't really thrilled that they used the electric nail file thing to take the gel polish off my toes because they couldn't get all of it off around the edges and it's bad for your nails. I've never seen that before. Usually they'll soak it in acetone. And then there was a $5 charge for removing the gel polish, which seems unnecessary. The service was fine but minimal. I wasn't offered even water. The polish selection wasn't very big either. To sum it up, I'd come back here, but I'm definitely looking for somewhere better.

But lash lift was not great. Lashes are over-curled, bent straight up from my lash line so they look bent not curled and they poke into my eyelids. I had asked for brown tint because I didn't want a dramatic look but tech suggested blue black. I went with her suggestion which I should not have - this might be personal preference, but black is an odd look as they're very striking and obvious paired with them over curled, lashes look very odd and unflattering, they stick straight up and look bent at my lash line and crispy. Eyelids were swollen and red after the procedure and it burned during. Not sure if that's just normal after a lift though. It was a lot of money to look goofy. Someone commented I look like Minnie Mouse with the lashes sticking straight up. This could be my fault not knowing what to ask for or how to direct the tech but as it was my first time I trusted the technician, but really wish I had skipped this or could reverse it, it looks ridiculous. Not sure if the staff is just trying to get people in and out as quickly as possible but very disappointed.
