Studio 12 Salon is hands down one of the best salons I've visited. From the ease of scheduling a same day appointment to the treatment I received this salon deserves more than 5 stars. I was visiting Cheyenne from Santa Barbara and not sure of where to go in town because of the lack of reviews on Yelp. I called with a small window of availability and Debbie got me in right away. That was just the beginning of the best experience at a salon, ever. Debbie greeted me immediately and I sheepishly tried to explain that I wanted anything but my natural blonde roots to be overtaking my failed at home dye job. She worked her magic and in the process I was taken by her amazing personality and willingness to make me happy. I wound up spending an extra half-hour there AFTER my appointment to finish our conversation. Her rates are unbeatable (especially compared to California!) and the cleanliness of the salon was definitely impressive. I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

The owner Deb is talented and does a nice haircut. That said, she overbooks and makes you feel shuffled. No pampering salon experience here. I was hoping to lowlight my gray roots. Deb insisted on a cap with a wash instead of foil. She assured me I would LOVE it! ‍ When I was done, I had color on top of old lowlights below my roots and white roots. I cried for days, because I looked ridiculous for my grandson's wedding. Cut was good, color was awful. Not what I wanted. But, when a salon is rushing clients through a cap takes less time than a foil. Never again. read more

So I decided to have my hair lightened. Five years ago I was bald due to cancer treatments. So nothing had been done to my hair and I was very particular about where I was going to go. I researched on yelp and decided that studio 12 was where I wanted to go. I made an appointment with Deb and we went through pictures of my hair before and pictures of what I would like done. I was super nervous. Wow she was spot on. She did an amazing job. I feel like I'm myself after these last few years. It didn't even feel like it was two hours in the shop and the whole staff worked as a team and they all Were so friendly and worked together. At first leaving the salon I was satisfied with my hair because of how it was laying once it was curled. I did not realize how badly the highlights were done until I got home. I asked for subtle highlights and made it known I did not want a lot of blonde due to my hair being thin. When I got home I was looking at my hair and noticed the WHOLE top of my head, right and left side, are completely blonde and the underneath of my hair is dark brown. My hair even has lines across that are brown on the blonde parts. My hair usually thickens out with hair trims but since my hair is majority blonde now it has made it very dead. I have had people asked me who dyed my hair blonde because it "looks like a high schooler did it". I am very embarrassed and upset because thin hair is a big self conscience of mine and this made it 100x worse. I wish I could get fully refunded for this because I am having to pay over $100 to get this fixed when i paid Studio 12 $170 roughly for this. People have already asked me where I went so they make sure they do not go. I am very upset. read more

I don't why this place has such high ratings. I had my bang cut there a few years ago when we first moved to Cheyenne, I had terrible experience there and never went back. The lady acted like she understood what I wanted, but the result was showing that she did not listen to what I wanted and she made me look like a clown. Fast forward, my husband recently wanted to do some blonde highlights on his hair, because he read good reviews on Yelp. However,it turned out horrible and they charged $45 for a terrible highlight job. My husband wanted blonde highlights not golden color, his hair now looks patchy and gross golden color. Seriously I can do better job than that! I was not out with my husband that day, otherwise I would not let him to go to that place. All in all, not recommended!!! read more

I was desperate for a cut after over a year without. Studio 12 was able to get me in quickly for an appointment, and I was extremely pleased with the cut and care that Joelle gave me!! She worked well with my requests and made a few suggestions about adapting the cut to the length of my hair. I recently moved back to Cheyenne from Tampa, FL. I had my hair done before I left and the stylist messed it up... BAD. Major breakage, uneven cut (it looked like a hole in the bank of my head) Even showed the stylist the picture as an example and she did whatever she wanted. Very very dark. I had been going to Studio 12 and seeing Deb for about two years. Got decent cuts until my last visit. She didn't cut it at all like we discussed and I even had a picture. Cut it much shorter. I just moved to Cheyenne and was desperate for a good stylist. Happily, Yelp came to my rescue. After all the good reviews for studio 12, I thought I'd check it out. I called to make an appointment for a week out, but in a whim asked if they could take me today, and they did! Miss Deb did an amazing job on my hair - worked with me to find the colors I wanted, made sure to do full-head highlights without my having to ask her (she asked for my approval be fore doing anything of course, but it was nice that she asked me instead of vice versa). I wouldn't recommend this place unless you enjoy being grilled with sensitive personal questions, listen to the stylist complain about how difficult your hair is to work with, and listen to your stylist complain about their other clients to another stylist. Very unprofessional and immature and they made me feel extremely uncomfortable. read more

Giving one star because the owner Deb responded quickly to a VERY unhappy mom!!! Otherwise I would give Joelle ZERO!!!!! My son (a young adult) went to their salon for a haircut for family pictures. Joelle was the one cutting his hair. He asked her to "leave 4 inches on the top and use a #3 on the sides and back" what he got was a high and tight!!!! I just cannot understand how this could turn out so wrong! Nothing about the cut is anything close to what was requested! Asked my son why he didn't stop her he said "the first cut was off the top and when she buzzed his top off he knew there was no way to fix it from there" pretty sad a young man is near tears and asking if men can wear wigs!!!!! Debbie the owner quickly gave a full refund, Sadly this terrible cut will forever be remember in our family portraits!!!! Joelle I hope tomorrow is a better listening day because today you COMPLETELY missed the mark!!! The ladies greeted me when I came through the door. It is a very clean, professional, and well decorated salon. I was helped by Mackay.
