I have had the hardest time finding a nail salon that does a decent pedicure in Cheyenne. I decided to try out from Tip to Toe. First, the place is totally different on the inside. From the outside it looks small but inside is spacious and clean! Second, I decided to get a full set (which I rarely ever do). I LOVED this place! I came here on vacation from KC. All I wanted to get was a black tip ombré... I EVEN EMPISIZED BLACK TIP. I wanted black to show. I corrected her at the beginning and she told me it's how it goes. When I asked for ombré I DID NOT ask for powder either. Once my nails were done, I sat for 25 minutes with almost cold "warm water" After my toes were done - (a different girl did those and they were magnificent) I asked them if this is really what an ombré is supposed to look like and showed the guy the picture.. he proceeded to tell me (that's not what you asked for if you wanted that you should be more specific for next time and to make sure I zoom in on pictures as well as the powder last longer and doesn't chip) These nails really cost me $70 and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

While visiting Cheyenne, I stopped by on a Friday afternoon not thinking to call ahead to check for openings. I was greeted warmly by the gentleman I took as the owner of the salon. He was able to fit me in for a manicure a little later in the afternoon. When I returned I was quite surprised he remembered my name. I was impressed how the staff seemed to know every customers name and how well they knew them. Of all the salons I've been to across the U.S., this was the first I've ever experienced such a warm and welcoming vibe. I had a gel French manicure done by a different gentleman. He did an excellent job, and gave the best arm and hand massage. I wish I got his name. It is now day 12 and my polish is still intact. I made an appointment for a pedicure and to get a callous worked on, the gentleman on the phone said it would be $35 + an additional $5 for working on the callous. The gentleman that made my appointment, also greeted me when entered was very polite and professional. However, NOXIOUS fumes in this place about knocked me out. I asked the technician (young female, dark hair, glasses) if we could turn on a vent or crack a door open, and she said no; she then asked if I was getting the deluxe pedicure or a manicure; I asked what the difference was between a regular and the deluxe pedicure and she said paraffin; I said no thanks to which she was no longer interested in giving me a pedicure. I pointed out the callous that I needed her to work on, and she nods her head and motions for me to put my feet in the water and the water is SCALDING hot!! She then add water and says, "now". Again the water is SCALDING hot!! The third time I was able to put my feet in the water. In less than five SECONDS of soaking my feet she motions for me to give her my foot with the callous. She clips a couple of nails, cleans under a couple of nails, barely rubs some type scrubby over my feet, puts oil on my toes and heels and starts to dry my feet off. I then point out that she needs to work on my callous and she says, I did. I told her my main reason for being here is to get that callous worked on because it hurts. She then refused to work on it, followed by a lot of chatting in her native tongue, followed by an older gentleman coming over to look at my callous, and a lot more chatting, followed by the appointment setter/greeter coming over and more chatting and him taking a electric nail file to my callous. While he is working on the callous, she is draining the water and throwing away the plastic liner. She then applied some lotion to my calves (with zero hints of massaging in the lotion) and puts a warm cloth on my legs and proceeds to tidy up (including removing the towel that my feet were resting on. She then applies the polish and walks away. My ENTIRE PEDICURE lasted between 10-12 minutes. She then moved to another pedicure station and pulled out two power tools to begin working on a different clients callous's (she didn't spend much time with him though). I hung around long past my toenails being dry to see if she would approach me and tell me nails were dry, thank me for coming in, or anything! She never did. Unfortunately the gentleman that was so helpful had left (I assume for a late lunch) and Ms Chip on Her Shoulder came to ring me out; as soon as I left her a 10% tip (and she was very lucky I gave her that much) she started bitching to another employee. I then wrote a quick note and a put $10 tip partially the edge of the nail dryer at Helpful Guy's station; I sure hope she didn't take it when I left the shop... but I doubt it. read more

Went to tip to toe for the first time for a fancy event I was going to. The workers were innocent people and no hate to them personally but I showed the guy doing my nails what I wanted in case he didn't understand what I was telling him because when I talk it can usually be fast. I showed him a picture of a red French tip. He decided to paint my whole nail red and I wasn't sure if he was gonna do anything after it to (since I've never had my nails done so not sure of the process) to make it a red French tip until he was done and I was like this is not what I wanted. I mean to say this in the nicest way but the language barrier was so bad that he didn't understand anything I would tell him so I kinda gave up. Not to forget, when he was preparing my nails he cut WAY to deep and 4 out of my 10 cuticles were bleeding. One of them wouldn't stop bleeding and the guy put this unknown substance on it assuming to stop it from bleeding but it not only burnt but crusted the blood up and there was just a clump of dry blood on my cuticle. The guy who did my feet was very gentle and I have nothing to say against him. But overall I don't think the communication in the salon is the best and it can really hurt them if they don't make an effort to fix it. read more

I've been terrified to try a new place with all the horror stories in Cheyenne of issues but gave it a try and I'm glad I did. Took my mom, who was visiting from out of town, and we both had a great time. Prices are a little higher than I'm used to but not terribly so. They were behind so if we had plans we would have had a problem. Well... I was overjoyed to finally treat myself to a pedicure after waiting weeks due to COVID-19. The staff are very friendly and the place seemed very clean. The only thing is I had a deluxe gel pedicure done and it cost $70, already a hefty price tag but was willing to pay because I really wanted to get it done. But for that $70 my massage chair did not work and the nail artist used a regular nail file to get the calluses off of my heels. My neck still hurts and I still have rough dry skin on my feet. It wasn't terrible just worth more like $40-$50 not the $70 I paid. read more

This is my first experience getting a pedicure in Wyoming, so maybe my expectations are higher than the average local's, but this was not a relaxing experience for me. Considering I get a pedicure only once a year, this really bummed me out. First, the massage chair didn't work. It turned on and made some minor movements but the mid and lower back buttons didn't work at all and the upper back movements were so light that it made sitting in the chair more of an annoyance than comforting. I also mentioned it loudly enough for the staff to hear, hoping that maybe they'd offer to seat me in a different chair, but they ignored me and started talking amongst themselves. Meanwhile, my boyfriend sitting in the massage chair next to me was getting beaten up by his. During the actual pedicure, the staff continued to talk to each other in their native language and point at something happening outside. This went on for about 10 minutes and became a distraction from them actually engaging in the pedicure I was paying for. Nobody said a word to my boyfriend or I the entire time, except "hi." It was a straight up business transaction and nothing more. The entire pedicure lasted for about 15 minutes, and I'm pretty certain she didn't even clean under my nails, which was weird, and when she was scrubbing the bottom of my feet, she was doing it so lightly that it tickled more than it actually exfoliated my feet. Probably the most half-assed pedicure I've ever received. Even my boyfriend, who never gets pedicures, agreed that his was mediocre at best. The place itself also REEKED of chemicals. This is normal for a lot of places, but making no attempt to aerate the fumes is a problem, especially when it's causing your guests to get headaches. They also didn't offer any drinks, even water, which is a pretty standard practice for most nail salons nowadays. I felt high by the time I left. By the end, my boyfriend and I both paid $25 each. Why would his be the same price if he's not getting his nails painted?? We'll see how long my polish actually lasts... Even if I lived in Cheyenne, I wouldn't come back here. Take your money elsewhere, or heck, you could probably even do a better job yourself. read more

I am not hard on my hands, and do nothing out of the ordinary to warrant this. Also, I've been getting shellac for years and have only experienced this recently after going to From Tip to Toe. I'm not sure if they are not letting my nails cure under the light long enough in order to move faster or if they're cheaping out on product but three chipped manicures within days is enough for me to stop wasting my time and money. My daughter and I went to get a pedicure. Made an appointment Just waited 5 -10 min for chairs & water to be set up. After waiting now 20 minutes with our feet in the water and luckily our massage chairs worked. Cam, is the mother of one of the owners that did my nails. It appeared with their tools that should be sterilize, they just opened the "sterile" bag in front of you, but there wasn't any type of indicator to show it had been sterilized. Cam, did not speak or understand English, her daughter Natalie had to translate. Lucy seemed to be the manager and kept things moving. I asked her what is there to do in Cheyenne and she said, "come to my shop"; then started showing me pictures of her sister and her at the beach which was Cam. My daughter and I both did the "Deluxe pedicure", for me it appeared Cam had no formal training. She didn't appear to understand how to take off the old nail polish and had to be prompted on each step. Cam opened during our session 4 packs of lavender lotion. I was supposed to get a leg massage, she rubbed the lotion on very gentle, hence "No massage". I was also supposed to have my feet scrubbed to remove the calluses, she started but that only left my heels very rough. With all the lotion on my legs, feet and toes Cam barely used alcohol to get the polish off of my nails so the polish was not stable & ready to dry. Not very sanitary and I would not go again. While sitting there another customer, Jeannette needed latex free gloves to be used. Probably 3 out of the workers seemed to look like as deer looking in the headlights, not knowing what to do. We met up with her today at an event and she could not quit complaining about the lack of understanding the basic procedure that she wanted. Gel nails. We made appointments for 3 of us and they made sure to seat us together and we all got our pedicures done at t the same time. I went to get a pedicure and acrylic nail set put on. The guy who gave me my pedicure burned my skin when putting the bagged wax on my feet. Then I woke up this morning with a toe infection. When he went to put on my acrylics, he filed too far down on my nail beds which hurt really bad and he blamed me saying it was the way I was holding my finger. Then once he applied the acrylic, it burned me because he filed too much of my nail bed down. The skin around my nails are raw from him filing down the acrylics. For spending $125 I had high expectations and this was one of the worst experiences with a nail salon I've ever had. read more
