The pedicure was not scheduled but with little fanfare Tracey was able to accommodate me. The salon is very clean, bright and well organized. Not a sweatshop ambiance. It was a very calming experience and I will be back. Unlike the other nail salon on Bessom where you are just a number there was no attitude. On my previous visit, the manager told me not to try polish colors on my own nails and instead to bring the bottles to my nail technician so she could try them for me. I respected that and followed what she asked. Today, while choosing my color, I picked up four bottles. The same manager asked me to put one back and told me I could only bring THREE colors to my nail technician to try. If I wanted to try a fourth color, I would be charged an additional $5. I have honestly never encountered anything like this at a nail salon. I completely understand having rules about customers trying polish themselves, but charging $5 because a customer wants to compare a fourth color seems excessive. Choosing a color is part of the nail service. What bothered me most was how the whole interaction made me feel as a returning customer. I've always appreciated the cleanliness and quality of this salon, but customer service and the way clients are treated matter just as much. Unfortunately, today's experience really changed how I feel about coming here.

My sister unfortunately did not have the same experience as I did. She was booked with Vy. She was extremely rude, did not speak english and instead was talking back in forth in her native language but to the point that it made us uncomfortable and it was clear she did not want us to understand what she was saying. I spoke up and asked if there was something wrong because we were uncomforatable and she said no but the experience did not improve. She was aggressive with my sister, kept telling her to sit still , stop moving in a way that was not professional and then just walked away and left her in the chair. I will go back for Sue and for some of the other lovely people working there but I would recommend that people do not choose Vy if you want a positive experience.
