I learned of American Limousines through Living Social. They were pretty awesome with my reservation and had no issues w/ my two small dogs being in the car. The driver arrived on time, drove pretty responsibly BUT has bad sense of direction because he followed the GPS that wasn't updated. Going to the airport we went the wrong way and coming back home from the airport took a longer way rather than say on I-95. But besides that little hickup our driver, Will, was very courteous, friendly and drove very good! I received confirmation calls both time with plenty of time before our scheduled reservation. Avoid at All Costs We hired American Limousine for our wedding. We had 6 signed contracts covering timing, routes, and driver instructions. They breached every single one. And not because of bad luck, but because their drivers never even read what we paid for. Our wedding ceremony started 35 minutes late because multiple drivers were parked at our hotels arguing with our guests about the start time, insisting it wasn't 4PM. Despite that exact time being in the contract and confirmed directly with the vendor beforehand and the contract saying the buses were to leave each hotel at 3:10 and 3:40 for a 4PM start time. Both buses sat and was waiting for "all guests" to get on the bus before leaving. Later, buses full of our guests were held in the parking lot at our reception instead of looping back and forth to the after-party, which was four minutes away. I personally, as the bride, told the drivers directly to leave and loop back, which was what we paid for in the contracts!!!!! They refused and sat idle instead, because they didn't want to make multiple trips. To top it off, one bus driver left a group of our guests stranded in a parking lot because he "didn't know" he was supposed to take them back to the hotel. A route that was explicitly written into our signed, reviewed, and paid-for contract. We confirmed everything in advance, and had it all in writing. American Limousine still failed us at every turn. Each bus driver displayed a complete inability to follow the contract as it was signed. I felt the drivers had no sense or urgency, did not care about timing or making the event "smooth", and frankly did not want to do their job. Wedding day transportation is not something you get a redo on. It's a one-shot event, and this company treated their contractual obligations as optional. Guests were left stranded, timelines were blown, and when we tried to resolve it, we got excuses instead of accountability. If you are planning a wedding or any event where reliability actually matters, do not trust American Limousine with it. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. read more

Last month, we had two buses to transport local and out of town wedding guests to the venue. One of the drivers was late, causing a 15min delay to the ceremony while we waited for nearly half the guests to arrive. But that's the lesser issue. Later that day, one driver (do not know if it was the same one) caused damage to the exterior of the venue (and the bus), resulting in $700 of repairs required for the historic building. Now, over a month after the incident, American Limousines is refusing to pay for the damages to the venue caused by their driver and burdening the bride & groom with paying out of pocket. There should be no issues for a company in good standing with their insurance companies to cover this amount as the cost of doing business. American Limousines is an irresponsible, unprofessional vendor, and will only cause ongoing headaches for you and your event. I worked with many vendors for my wedding and have refrained from posting anything but positive reviews, given the deep respect I have for hard working local businesses. However, I felt very DISrespected by the management of this company and for this reason feel it is important to share about my experience so that others can make an informed decision before signing a contract. We were very happy with our experience planning with Renita! However, the day of our wedding and follow-up with this company was by far the WORST, most aggravating customer service I have ever encountered. Although I could list all grievances, I have no doubt management will respond to this post to argue with me line-by-line about what happened, and after an AWFUL few weeks doing with them over the phone, I have no desire to continue arguing with them. That in itself may speak to my bottom line: after everything that went wrong (late limos, breakdowns caused by drivers not having adequate training, chronic lateness, damage to property, and most of all, ZERO communication from company), management really jerked us around. Frequently told us they would call at a specific time to discuss this fiasco, and never followed through. Also, essentially accused me of lying about small details (eg, I said I stepped out of a family dinner to take a call. When my husband joined the call, he mentioned he stepped out of the shower. Guy had the gall to question if I was lying about being at dinner. Is he serious? Was that necessary?) This company was booked for a wedding I went to, and they were so late the entire wedding was postponed by a half hour. We were already working with an incredibly limited time window, and it was so frustrating to have to sacrifice more time. The ENTIRE bridal party (bride and groom included!) experienced issues getting to the venue because of this company, when the hotel was less than 5 minutes from the venue. My experience with them has been that they're not very organized and are unprofessional. I have used them once for a bus once for a school field trip. The DVD player was broken; I wasn't able to use it. As a matter of fact, I found out the device was broken after it took my dvd and wouldn't eject. Also, the restroom on board had an extremely foul odor emitting from it; the smell traveled through the entire bus during our ride to and from. I'm not sure what the issue was. There was an air freshener near the area, but it didn't help with this. I contacted American about these issues; of course, they were ignored. However, they were quick to send an invoice for an extra hour of use of their bus. Unlike them, I was prompt with my response and payment. Another example is in October 2018, I did an online request for a bus quote for a trip in November 2018. I received no response. No phone call. No email. Nothing. Because I did not hear anything from them, I went ahead and secured a bus from another local company. Fast forward to the trip in November, American Limo popped up. Mind you, as mentioned above, I had never received any confirmation of this bus, and I never signed any contract securing a bus. Needless to say, I had to contact them and explain the whole situation; I was on hold and had to get everything quickly squared away. I have never heard of anything like this happening. Because of these experiences, I've decided to use other transportation services who are much more prompt and professional. If I could give zero stars I would. We were charged for tolls because apparently the limo driver took the toll road on the way to pick us up after our wedding, and after dropping . Never have I ever heard of a transportation company that charges riders for expenses while they're not even riding. Couldn't the driver have simply taken a different route? This isn't explained anywhere in the website and the charges were made separate from the charges for the transportation meaning they charged my card without authorization. So now we have deceptive business practices and credit card fraud! When I called to inquire I was told that I would be refunded for half! Still waiting for that. Wondering if I should contact the BBB. It's not the $8 that matters so much as the fact that the charges were fraudulent. In conclusion avoid like the corona-virus! read more

Buyer beware! This was, by far, the most unreliable and unprofessional company our family has ever dealt with. My daughter was married in MD this past June, and this was our experience with American Limousine: 1) They arrived 45 minutes late to take the bride and bridesmaids to the ceremony. We did not receive any contact during this nerve wracking wait and had to reach out to them for help. 2) The van backed over the basketball net in the driveway. 3) The driver got out of the car and walked behind my daughter and her father as the ceremony began, asking where the corkscrew went!!! 4) He then knocked down the mailbox at the venue. 5) Company sent the wrong buses to transport guests between the hotel and venue. (Coaches were too large for the roads and not agreed upon.) 6) Driver was unable to start the coach at the end of the reception, so guests had to wait an hour. They were tired and started to question if it was safe to go on the bus! We felt very embarrassed in front of our family and friends. When my daughter and her husband called American Limousine to report this service and express their disappointment, they were treated horribly, and received no satisfaction. After several stressful and rude telephone exchanges, they were told that American Limousine fulfilled their contract and the matter was closed. The day my daughter was leaving for her honeymoon, she was told that thanks to her, someone had lost his job! That was their feedback, as if it were all her fault. I fail to understand how that many mistakes were made that day, and how a company can stay in business with this type of incompetent staff and disgraceful customer service. My wife and I hired American Limousines for a wedding we had last Saturday, December 9. Overall it has been a horrible experience. I'll start by saying that the first shuttle driver--the one who drove us to take photos and then to the venue--was very nice, very respectful, and on-time. That part of the experience, which makes up for less than 40% of the bill, was pleasant. The more important part of the day--the large bus that was set to transport our guests to the venue from the hotel left from the hotel late and only made one trip, leaving our guests stranded at the hotel. When my wife instructed him that he needed to go back and that it was clearly stated in our contract that he was to make continuous trips, he was very rude. He refused to do go back and refused to show us the contract, stating that he didn't have one. ALL OF THESE DETAILS ARE CLEARLY STATED IN OUR CONTRACT. Oddly enough, when I spoke to American Limos yesterday on the phone, they seemed to be reading details from a different contract. Just a recommendation: make sure your costumers have the same contract that you do. The next day Renita from American Limos called us apologizing for the issues. "I'm sorry there was traffic and that it delayed your ceremony," she said. We quickly explained the situation and that we were very dissatisfied with their service. After several days of back-and-forth between my mother-in-law and American Limos, I decided to step in and call them. We asked for 50% off of that portion of the bill and they have refused to grant out request. I have called them several times and asked to speak to the owner and he refuses to speak to me. Carlo, who I assume is the manager, speaks for the owner. As a result of American Limos our wedding started nearly 25 minutes late. The shuttle driver was also yelling at my wife just minutes before she walked down the aisle. Never, ever use American Limousines for any reason. They take your money up front and then do not provide the service they promise. At times this last week I felt like I was dealing with Comcast...yikes. STAY AWAY!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! This company is a huge scam. Their low prices per hour are offset by the hidden "fees" they invent after your ride is complete. I went out with some friends recently in one of their limousines for a nice evening, after which we thoroughly picked up our trash and ensured the passenger area was at least as nice as we found it originally. Then a few days later I get an additional $300 charge on my bill from American Limousines. I called them and was told that it was for "throw-up cleaning fees." I informed him that it must be a mistake as no one vomited in our limo. He verified all the paper work and called the driver who confirmed it was our limo. My guess? The driver gets a kickback from the cleaner for every limo he brings in, and yours-truly gets stuck with the bill. If there was vomit in that limo, why didn't the driver make note of it to me before concluding the trip? Why didn't anyone notice someone vomiting in a small, enclosed space? Why didn't we smell it? Why didn't we see it when cleaning? Because it wasn't there!!! American Limousines is refusing to drop the additional $300 fine and insists that there absolutely was vomit in this limo. If there was a drop of vomit in that limo from any of my guests, then the Pope's Buddhist and the Moon is the center of the universe. We engaged American Limousines for transportation for a wedding rehearsal dinner, wedding day activities and last day trips to the train station. This included, three luxury 29-person mini-coaches, one Lincoln Limousine, and one 14-person mini-coach. I had the pleasure - and I mean pleasure - of working with Brian to select the proper vehicle and coordinate all the moving parts. The execution was flawless and every driver was on-time, courteous and professional. When it rained, they held umbrellas over the guests as the boarded or got off. And, they would wait patiently nearby each destination, in the event someone needed to leave early. If I ever had the need again, or was asked for a recommendation, I would not hesitate to say use American Limousines and insist on working with Brian. Both were tops! read more

I initially contacted American Limousines for a birthday "day" trip to a local winery. The representative was helpful and did all the leg work to contact the winery and ensure we could make a reservation as well as book a limo for us. The group grew in size so we eventually had to upgrade the vehicle to a "People Mover" which is a 14 passenger shuttle. The People Mover picked us up, dropped us at the winery and waited for us to return to the shuttle. We returned to the shuttle, asked when we needed to leave and were told by the driver that we should leave at 20 minutes until 4 PM. We left at 3:28, returned home at 4:30 PM. All was good or so we thought until the following week. The invoice I was given was a fixed rate of $415.00 for the trip. In the terms and conditions it states if you are over the 7 minute grace period of travel time you will be charged an hourly rate set forth in your agreement. I had not been set up with an hourly rate so therefore I assumed this did not apply to our trip but was somehow charged over $50 for the 28 minutes we were "over". When I called the company to work this out, I was treated as if I was incompetent and should have assumed we would be charged no matter what (traffic, accident, etc.). The issue lies with the driver telling us we were fine to leave at 3:30 and then not explaining we would be charged for overage. This company does not hold their drivers accountable or staff for that matter. The manager/owner had an attitude the entire time I tried to explain the situation and then proceeded to "challenge" me to call my bank and dispute the charge based upon the invoice. He also stated that he didn't work in accounting so he didn't understand why the invoice was wrong. American Limousine has no customer service when issues arise. They were nice as can be when they took my credit card information and then nasty and rude when a customer had a legitimate concern. If I was you, I would NOT use them. I am an event planner and take vendor customer service very seriously. I will NOT be using their services in the future and will pass along this experience to all my colleagues in the event industry to include family and friends. read more

Worse service ever. My husband hired them to pick me and my friends up at the airport the ride was 20 minutes long. The driver showed up late the water in the limo was hot. The service was terrible but what ever I left it at that. 2 days later I get a charge of almost double the amount they had said initially. I called to complain they told me that even though im seeing 2 charges. One is a hold and will be released. I proceeded to tell her the amount is wrong it's not what was told to us. And the receipt shows we had the limo for 4 hours we didn't. It was 20 minutes. Then she said that's how long it takes the driver to get from their office to the airport. How's that my problem? I received very unprofessional customer service from various company representatives in response to a mistake made by the company itself. On Thursday, December 28, 2017, I contacted American Limo to reserve transportation for myself and guests on December 31, 2017. I ordered a 14 passenger Mercedes Sprinter to pick us up at my home at 9:30 PM and bring us to several different locations and then return home by 3:30 AM. The shuttle arrived, and it was not a Mercedes Sprinter as ordered. I had not been notified of a change in the type of vehicle ahead of time. I did not mention the change to the driver, as I was excited to get on with our New Year's celebration. However, we immediately noticed there was no heat in the vehicle. The driver was unsure of how to turn it on and in 17 degree weather not having heat was not an option. The driver had to contact the company to get instructions on how to operate the heat. He was able to get the heat running. This delay, however, already had put a us behind schedule. We left my home and were headed to our first destination - Martin's East. Within 10 minutes of leaving, the driver had to pull the vehicle over to the side of Rt. 40. When I questioned him, he responded, "The Engine is having issues, I am calling it into the company." Once he got off the phone - he stated that he would move us to a nearby parking lot to wait for a new vehicle to be delivered in a few minutes. A "few minutes" turned into 20 minutes which put in jeopardy of missing our dinner reservation. The driver decided to chance the drive and get us to our destination in time for dinner. The driver told me that vehicles would be switched while we were inside having dinner and by the time we were to head to our next destination, it would be a working Sprinter. He called me while we were eating to let me know they were sending a shuttle vehicle - again, not providing us with the vehicle that we had originally ordered. I let them know I was disappointed we were not getting the vehicle type I originally ordered. He gave me the number to Carlo - a manager for the company. When I reached out to Carlo, he questioned why I was calling him and he stated that by now this issue is in the owner's hands. Ultimately, the vehicle was not delivered during dinner, and we had to wait additional time for it to arrive. Once it arrived, delivered by the owner and a mechanic, I spoke to the owner in person. I told him I was disappointed, to say the least. He stated, "I don't give a shit, you can walk home or we can shuttle you home" I was shocked at his response and questioned if this was how he spoke to a all of his customers. He replied, "I have thousands of customers", and that he was sick and shouldn't have to be there in the first place. He told us that the shuttle that they delivered was our only option and that we would touch base on Tuesday. We were anxious to continue our night, though we were completely off schedule, and I agreed to speak to a company representative on Tuesday, as he would not be available. Please note, the replacement shuttle did not have ice, or glasses, and had all forward facing seats - like a school bus. I ordered the Sprinter initially because of the wrap around seating, which encouraged guest interaction. These changes, and the fact that there were huge delays, made us unable to attend nearly all of the functions we had planned and ruined our New Years celebration. On 1/2/18, I received the receipt for payment. I noticed it was discounted slightly, however we had not discussed the issues further, as indicated. When I reached out to Carlo, he stated there would be NO further discussion or discounts. Yep, scam artists. Contracted with American limo for a round trip ride from airport to destination. First leg of trip was fine. Cancelled 15 minutes before pickup for return trip, saying they had sent a refund-- but so what, I've got a flight to catch and no ride. It gets worse-- they had not sent a refund. After contacting them several times and no refund posting to my account, I disputed the charges through my credit card company (always keep e-mail reservation confirmations and correspondence!) who took care of the issue for me. It seems like I'm not the only person American Limosine ripped off. I hired this company to shuttle wedding guests from a hotel to the church. Two buses were contracted to run from 4pm to 7pm. 2 of my guests arrived at the hotel later on Sat and waited at the designated pick up point from 5:55pm to 6:35pm and neither bus showed up. They ended up having to pay for a taxi to take them to the church. I had the bus drivers phone number and when I heard what happened (which was during the reception) I called him and asked him why this happened. He proceeded to tell me that some one from the hotel came out and told him all of the guests had been picked up so they left. THEY WERE BEING PAID FOR THREE HOURS OF SERVICE AND THEY LEFT EARLY BECAUSE SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT AUTHORIZED TO LET THEM GO SAID THEY COULD. The following day I called the office and talked with Todd. According to him the drivers ledger had recorded that they were at the pick up site at 6:10pm. If that had been the case they would have seen my guests patiently waiting. Not only did the drivers lie to their boss but also manipulated and forged times in their books and THEIR BOSS BELIEVED THEM OVER ME. I asked that I not be charged the full three hours since they were only present for two. I just got my bill and they charged me full price any way, for a breeched contract!!!!!!!!!! I would stay far far away from this shotty company, and I will do everything in my power to let as many people as possible know. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE I contracted with American Limousines for my sons bachelor party last Sat. My contract was from 7-12 but I was told the group could stay out past 12 and I would then by charged by the 1/2 hr. At midnight everyone wanted one last stop and told the driver where they would like to go. He proceeded to pass the exit and when they told him he passed it and to turn around he told them NO that he was not going anywhere else that night. After several people on the bus got involved he did turn around and dropped them off at location and said they had to find their own rides home and then pulled away with our 2 coolers on the bus. I got a frantic call from a passenger who told me that the driver was not coming back and all 20 passengers would have to find a ride home on their own. I called dispatch who then had to call and wake the manager up to get the driver to come back to pick up. Monday morning I called American Limousines to report this and was told someone would call me back. NO ONE CALLED I proceeded to call 4 additional times and asked to speak with the owner. Brian (who calls himself the owner) came on the phone with a smug attitude immediately and said the driver misunderstood. When I relayed what happened that night he asked me what my complaint was about and proceeded to make outrageous accusations. He said everyone was picked up and I was charged for it. I told Brian I did not think it was fair to charge full price for the two additional hours since everyone was only picked up because I had to make a phone call to get the driver back there. His reply was "and if we didn't come back then I would not charge you" Save yourself some real aggravation and use a different limo service. They were completely uncooperative and extremely rude. read more

The address and hotel were all on my confirmation and they claimed they did not know what to do. Fortunately our guests also had cars or they would not have made the wedding. At 5:45 the bus hadn't arrived. I called several times over a 45 minute window and was given a different arrival times each time. In the end, the driver drove to the event location instead of my home to pick us up. She was completely lost and had NO CLUE how to get to our house. I attended a wedding recently, and American Limousines, Inc. was contracted to transport the wedding party from their home to the wedding venue, as well as guests from the hotel to the wedding venue and back. The only reason I'm giving them any stars is due to the fact that they actually picked up and dropped off the wedding party. The driver was unfriendly, unhelpful, and, overall, seemingly unhappy to be there. The hotels were close by to the wedding venue, and the driver was required to drive back and forth to pick up and drop off guests - that didn't happen. Apparently, the driver spent a majority of the time idling in a nearby parking lot, per the owner of the company, because there were unclear directions as to what he was supposed to do. This is untrue, seeing as all instructions were spelled out and given to them numerous times by the bride prior to the wedding. I'm very disappointed in their service, and I can definitely say I will not be recommending them in the future, not will I use them for my upcoming wedding. It's $100/hr for poor service. I hired a 6 passenger stretch Limo for a night out with friends. I would not recommend it to anybody. Though the automobile itself was great and arrived on time, the driver didn't have enough local knowledge of the city. Because of this he took us somewhere else instead of where I asked him to, and ultimately we ended up going 15 minutes over time. Though the driver apologized twice for the mistake, the company charged us for overtime. When I took this up with them, they did not return my calls for more than a week even after I left voice messages. When they finally got back to me, they refused to do anything about it as according to them, we were in the vehicle so the "service was being used". So basically the company doesn't care about customers once they have received their payment and refuses to own up to mistakes. DO NOT USE AMERICAN LIMOUSINES!!!! The service provided by American Limousine was very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!!! I hired this company for transportation for my guests the day of my wedding. They were supposed to provide a school bus for out of town guests from the hotel to the wedding venue and vice versa. My wife talked to American Limousine multiple times prior to the wedding to confirm the times to take guests back to the hotel from the wedding venue, which was from 9pm-10:45pm. We had to hire American Limousine for a 6 hour period (per American Limousine rules) in order to get the guests to the venue before the wedding and get then back to the hotel after the reception. The cost of renting the bus for 6 hours (only needed them for 2 and a half hours) was approximately $700 and for that price we only got two bus trips totaling less than 20 miles. American limo's defense emails to our complaints claimed that our "point of contact" per the contract was my father and according to American limousine he was supposed to call them during the wedding and set up the transportation (even though my wife talked to them numerous times prior to the wedding day setting up the transportation times). The manager who I sent my disgruntled emails to was very defensive and said they stuck to the written contract. Personally, I believe that American Limousine was doing other jobs during the 6 hours we had them booked. The manager said though that the driver was sitting in a parking lot close by in an idling bus for 5 HOURS waiting for instructions. Even if this were true (WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT IT IS) the driver could have used common sense and swung by the wedding to make sure everything was ok. The driver came at 10:15pm after numerous guests called the American limousine phone number and weren't able to get through. The American Limousine bus driver said they will only take ONE bus load of guests back to the hotel because 2 bus trips would take them over the contracted 6 hours we paid them for and they would have to charge us even more than the $700. Many elderly guests waited outside for 40 minutes waiting for the bus to show up and when it did THE DRIVER DID NOT GET OFF HIS SEAT TO HELP THEM ON THE BUS!!!
