It is very difficult to have consistency​ in your therapy​ when appointments​ are so limited with your counselor​. If you are a working individual or a student it makes it even more complicated. The guys at the front desk are polite and nice, but terrible at relaying​ messages; therefore is impossible to communicate directly with your counselor​ since you cannot have their email nor their direct line. I know these​ guys are overworked; they keep taking clients under very low staffing. I know low staffing is out​ of their control, but accepting more clients when they cannot keep up​ with the ones they have is not OK. I felt obligated to quit​ after having such a difficult time booking the ​appointment​​s and delaying my therapy; at times I felt worst having to relive it and dealing with it for two or three weeks until my next appointment​. I always felt in a rush, and not enough time to deal with all the mess in my head. They say many things that they cannot keep. Therefore, I felt, though their intentions might be honorable; they were more damaging​ to me than helpful​. But remember, everyone's experience is different.​

Upon entering we quickly realized that we were easily two of the youngest people in the place - awesome! Everybody was so nice and welcoming. We were made to feel comfortable right away. For a requested $5 donation we could've enjoyed a pork roast dinner with mashed potatoes and all the fixin's. We opted not to, but it looked delicious. Homemade for sure Drinks were incredibly cheap! $3.50 for a bottle of Pacifico or a Bud Seltzer. Trish was our outstanding, super friendly bartender. We loved Trish! Good times aboard The Ship.

I am a Veteran and wanted to share my experience with this consulting group. While they did help…read moreincrease my disability rating from 30% to 90% (a $1,760 monthly increase), they charged me over $6,500 for their services. After two failed attempts by JD to reach 100%, I decided to leave and hire a lawyer instead. I went to Vet Law, which has excellent reviews, and within four months I reached 100% disability (a $1,589 monthly increase). Their fee was $1,012 -- far more reasonable, and the process felt professional and straightforward. Based on this comparison, I believe Veterans Benefits Consulting Group charges excessive fees and does not provide fair value for the cost. Although I did receive an increase, I do not feel their billing system is ethical or fair. I want other Veterans to be fully informed before committing, as there are better options available.
