Jason Gonzales was very professional and very helpful. Jason took the time with me to explain any questions that I had for him. He went above and beyond to guide me in the right direction. He explained every form needed and why. Jason is a great Representative for the Veterans Administration Office. You are very lucky to have him. read more

Came in to get some help with some forms, I was able to just walk in without an appointment, but an appointment can be made. I checked in on the kiosk and someone helped me shortly. Located upstairs there was a nice waiting area. Staff was friendly. I didn't get the help I was hoping for but it's good to know that the office is in town. read more

Was no help for veterans at all, would not even look into my file. Absolutely useless on helping with claims. Would not recommend this service for any veterans who want help with their claim. If you want help go somewhere else, this man was truly going through the motions. If you want help with your disability ratings, call Vetlaw or Tucker Disability Law and not this useless place. read more

I was scheduled for a telephone appointment on Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at 0800hrs. Before the appointment, I reviewed the information behind the appointment and didn't find any specifics on how the telephone interview would happen (Should I call them? Will they call me?). At approximately 0804hrs, my VA representative hadn't called me yet, so I went to the Temecula VA webpage and tried to use their chat feature for further instructions. When I entered my question, the chat bot gave me an error message reading, "Your login session has expired. Please login again." When I hit "refresh," my entire question disappeared. I got same result several times. So that was a dead end. By the time I returned to my phone, I noticed my VA rep called and left a voicemail. The VA rep left a phone number where I could call back. I did which led me to an automated message tree saying to press a "number to reach....." I pressed various options that made sense....and then all options. All came back with an error message saying employees were dealing with a high volume of calls and told me to call back later. My appointment was 45 minutes in duration. How much later could I call back? The voicemail also said the VA rep would call me back in about 15 minutes (at about 0820). I waited until 0845 and never received a call back. Two hours later or so, I got an email asking me to fill out a survey about my experience. I clicked the link to take the survey and I got an error message which read, "404 We can't find that form." Another dead end. In summary, I called requesting help filling out a High Level Review form. It's pretty straight forward, but I just wanted some help ensuring I was doing everything correctly. One wrong entry and I get denied again, right? Not a good day for customer service at the VA. read more

I spoke with Jason Gonzalez through email, he suggested I make an appointment to bring my father's documents. Our appointment was with Matt. He did not even try to pretend he cared. At one point, instead of letting us know it was the end of the appointment, he just began typing on his computer so we sat there thinking he was checking something and he finally looked up and said "any more questions?" We brought all this documentation and he didn't even ask to look at them or anything. After the appointment, I called the VA and the national PACT act line and they actually assisted me and told me what we needed to do. I don't think Matt wanted to deal with the paperwork. read more

I went to this office prepared to spend half my morning to claim my father's death benefits, but, luckily, I got an amazing representative in Jason Gonzalez. He was extremely helpful in educating me on which forms to submit, (I had filled them ALL out before arriving), explained how to decipher all the "numbers" on his DD-214, then quickly scanned all my completed documents in a flash. He even explained what to expect as far as getting a response back and a decision on my survivor's claims. I was there for less than an hour! It's been a week, and I already got a response. Thank you, Jason. You made my life and stress a little easier. God Bless. read more

This is my experience at the Temecula Office. I came in yesterday for help trying to figure out what I could do to have my current disability upgraded. I had ten percent award in 2002. Since then I have had many different medical issues and have worked through both the Navy Hospital at Balboa and the VA Medical Clinic in Murietta. I didn't get any help and by all indications the guy I was talking to was trying not to help me. I don't have total recall so when the man showed me some websites that I needed to go to I did not recognize them until I got home. I had done the privacy letter and the FOIA document already. For over one year I have been trying to get my Service Treatment Records from the National Archives. I had previously tried to work through a civilian company but had signed no documents nor paid any funds to them. That now is expired as my intent to file was in June 25 and because I have never been able to get my treatment records it has expired. I have asked the company to provide me with a "Drop Letter" so I can begin the process again. I live in Temecula but will make the drive to Riverside rather than talk to the guy I talked to yesterday again...once I receive the Drop Letter. I recommend anyone going to this Temecula office be careful. I never felt like anyone thought I was stupid or a liar until yesterday in Temecula. read more

I had a total of three visits with this office on appealing a denied disability claim. Each time I was given sound advise on what the best way to proceed was. I followed the advice and on my last visit Jason assisted me in my appeal. He also noticed in my nexus letter that a medical condition was mentioned that I was not rated for and suggested I do a new claim for that condition, then assisted in doing my claim. I'm not sure what the results of these submissions will be but am positive my changes are greatly improved by the assistance this office provided. read more

They're not very clear on what documents to bring to the appointment. They'll waste your time. The receptionist was going over what I needed and asked me, "You probably have those documents on your VA app, right?" Implying what is on the app or digital copies would suffice. Then I say there for 30-40 minutes waiting to get called back and when I walk into the representatives office he immediately ask for physical copies and says he can't help me without them. There is a printer sitting right behind him, mind you. Make sure you get it in writing EXACTLY what they need or else they will just refuse to help you. read more
