I asked for my eggs over medium and the meal also came with house breakfast potatoes and toast. I had rye toast and the meal cost $8 donation. The lady in the kitchen hit the eggs right on the money and they came with a slow run yolk and were partially cooked through. The eggs were lightly seasoned but I did add some black pepper. Pepper and eggs are my thing. The pork chops was thick, very tender, and tasty. However, I do recommend that they render the fat along the edges better, not to get rid of it, but to elevate the texture and give it a some crunch or crispiness, not to mention some color. The potato cubes were good. They had nice color, tender, and offered a nice crisp edge. They were also seasoned well. They rye toast was good. They went a little heavy on the butter for my taste, but then again, I like to spread my own butter on my toast. Lisa, the young lady on the floor that morning was very nice and helpful. Tables on one side of the room, bar on the other, dance floor/stage in between. Our friend's band was playing at the VFW (a gig's a gig, right?), so we thought we'd check it out. Upon entering we quickly realized that we were easily two of the youngest people in the place - awesome! Everybody was so nice and welcoming. We were made to feel comfortable right away. For a requested $5 donation we could've enjoyed a pork roast dinner with mashed potatoes and all the fixin's. We opted not to, but it looked delicious. Homemade for sure Drinks were incredibly cheap! $3.50 for a bottle of Pacifico or a Bud Seltzer. Trish was our outstanding, super friendly bartender. We loved Trish! Good times aboard The Ship.

I was absolutely felt with community and welcomed to join in. My mother is a member so we've joined her a few times to events and gatherings and always had a great time.
